"Love Story" BELLE FILLE
CHAPTER-X. Travel to Kandahar

The tragedy of the war in Afghanistan has become a lot of the world's spotlight and can not be separated in my country Indonesia.

Naturally, if today Afghanistan is visited by many foreigners, they are not intended to travel but their arrival for various activities according to their profession.

There are like me as a journalist, but also as a medical team consisting of paramedics and doctors and volunteers to help the affected population.

In the afternoon at the end of the highway I was a little relaxed sitting while drinking a fruit just in the caffe owned by a Palestinian businessman in this city.

While carrying a small note, I wrote some notes to prepare my work program here.

A few days ago I heard from a local journalist that in addition to the capital Kabul and the city of Herat, fighting also took place in the city of Kandahar.

Until now there are several places in Afghanistan that are the center of the battle.

In addition to the capital Kabul, the city of Herat, Kandahar and Jalalabat are centers of war.

I'm trying to leave for Kandahar tomorrow with a Dutch television reporter.

Today I promised him to meet with the reporter from the Windmill Country, but until now he has not appeared.

While I was drinking a glass of just I lit a cigarette, I smoked it while looking at the highway that was right in front of me.

Fifteen minutes later Rio Vander Bott the reporter arrived.

"Hello freand.." he said to me while patting me on the shoulder.

"Hello," I replied, smiling kindly, I immediately stood up and greeted him with a commando greeting, "let's sit down" I told him in English.

After I let her sit down I ordered her a cup of coffee to the waiter, Waiter! The waiter! A servant came, "what message sir?" asked the waiter, "one black coffee," I replied, then the waiter left and immediately came to bring me a cup of coffee.

We had a serious conversation that afternoon.

Rio Vander Bott is a 43-year-old Dutch man with a slightly fat white body and brown hair like most Europeans, he works as a tv reporter.

he has been in Afghanistan for eight months.

"What's our schedule tomorrow?" tanyaku make sure, "tomorrow we leave early in the morning so as not to stay overnight on the road," said Rio.

"Kandahar is one of the important cities" Rio said to me, I noticed his every remark.

"I've never been to that city, all the time this time I've been out of the country" I told Rio, Hahahahha..! "it's not a problem, we can learn at every opportunity" he told me.

I just smiled and was a little insecure about meeting international journalists like him, but I learned a lot, "then what about where we live?" ask her.

"We take the motel, the price is cheaper and we have to save" said Rio.

After a long time we chatted and shared information then agreed on the schedule for our departure tomorrow morning at around 08:00 Herat time.

since the time had started late in the afternoon Rio and I rushed to return to the inn, "alright, we meet tomorrow," I said.

"OK!" replied Rio.

But before I went to camp, I took the time to go to the hospital where Hellen worked, my goal was to go there to teach him that tomorrow I would go to Kandahar.

When I arrived at the hospital I went straight to the room where Hellen worked, I saw him and some of his friends and a doctor still treating a male patient who was being treated.

"Ah, I better wait for him here," I said in my heart.

I sat at the door of the room waiting for him to finish work.

For about an hour, I saw him and his friends coming out of the room.

When he saw me, he immediately approached me.

"hai baby, miss you" she said with a smile and she held onto my two hands.

he seems to miss me so much right now!

It's been almost a week since we haven't seen the beach.

"I miss you too dear" I replied.

We sat in a long chair in front of the hospital room.

I told him about my arrival to ask permission to go to the city of Kandahar.

"Darling, tomorrow morning I'm going to Kandahar" I said, staring at her face.

"There's press coverage I have to pursue there" I told him.

A moment was seen from his teary eyes and sadness was evident from his face.

I know for a fact that she will be sad because she is far away from me.

But I promise I won't be in Kandahar for a week or two.

"I understand your work," but my sense of longing will surely explode," said the hadith, throwing oandannha into a corner of the room.

"She, I promise, I'll be right back for you" I said, reassuring her.

And she also understood my job, as well as I who really understand her profession as a nurse.

"I will miss and look forward to your return"

then he kissed my lips.

We also have mutual lips, warm kisses.

he and I hugged each other by kissing.

Something I really wanted from him.

"Come back to me as soon as possible, and we'll make love again" she told me.

I'm so happy to hear that.

A moment later I also asked to resign because the time was very twilight.

"Darling, I can't linger here, I have a lot to do, especially for tomorrow" I said as I stroked her hair.

"I beg your permission to go home, later after that, I will call you," I said, then he just nodded his head while closing his eyes and saw a drop of water falling on his cheek, tears of longing.

Before passing once again I kissed her sweet lips, and I did not forget to kiss her forehead.

"I love you baby" I said

"i love you" he said

"bye.." I said.

While waving my hand and he also let go of his hand to me.

I rushed out of the hospital to return to camp.

...----------------...

The next day I also prepared to go to the city of Kandahar, after all the supplies were fulfilled I went out of the camp to the highway to wait for Rio's arrival.

Soon an old green Volkswagen safari came to me.

"This is the Dutch reporter's car, apparently," said in my heart.

I immediately got into the car and then the car went to the city of Kandahar.

Inside the car were several other people who were taking part.

as a rudder there was Robbin, and then there was Rio Vander Bott my friend who served as a reporter cameraman, and there is also a woman named Sherly Mathias a Dutch woman who later served as a reporter.

We met each other in the car.

The trip to Kandahar City itself we traveled by land, indeed quite a distance.

I don't really know how long we have to spend on our way there.

But certainly as a fighting spirit for news seekers, we also took these roads.

The next day at about eight in the morning we reached the city of Kandahar.

In front of the entrance of our city was blocked by the blockade forces from the UN, we were asked for letters for their data collection materials.

After everything was done, we were allowed to enter.

We continued on to find a place to stay, along the way my eyes looked at the left and right side of the road.

The city of Kandahar is actually quite beautiful, and as one of the most populous cities in Afghanistan besides the city of Kabul as its capital.

After traveling around for a long time we finally found an inn.

And we immediately booked 3 rooms for our resting place.

When viewed the position of this inn is like a small Motel that is on the edge of the city.

I was with Rio in one room.

While the driver Robbin he chose to sleep alone, as well as Sherly because she was the only woman who participated so he was in the room alone as well.

Once in the room I immediately threw down my body.

Because the journey took one day one night, my body felt tired in the vehicle.

There are two sets of beds in this room.

Rio himself had already climbed his basket and had already started to sound his snoring.

Maybe he was also so tired in the journey just like where I am today.

Indeed, the distance of the city of Herat to Kandahar is quite far, let alone we take a road that we ourselves do not really understand the way.

Often we misdetermine the path that makes our journey a little hampered and long, but all this is a valuable experience for me.

After a while I lay down my body, I also began to sleep.
