...We go on to the story of the boycott of the Quraysh against the Muslims of Readers......
Since Hamzah ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ), the pagans turned to boycotts to stop their preaching.
The Muslims were subjected to a full economic and social siege by the Quraysh. Here is the story of boycotts committed by the polytheists against the Prophet Muhammad and Muslims.
The boycott was carried out by the Quraysh because of lack of strength and the people who became Muslims chose to leave the religion of their ancestors.
The polytheists gathered in the village of Bani Kinanah to make a mutual agreement against Bani Hayim and Bani Al-Mutthalib.
The following is a form of boycott carried out by the Quraish infidels against the Bani Hashim and the Bani Muttalib who supported the Prophet Muhammad.
prohibition to get along and provide assistance
prohibition on marrying the tribes of Bani Hashim and Bani Muttalib
- Prohibition of doing Prohibition transactions to open a way of living
prohibition to make peace
For this purpose, they wrote on a piece of board, containing an agreement and a decree not to accept the agreement of the Bani Hashim before they handed him ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ to be killed.
Abu Talib reacted wisely to this unjust and aggressive fact. He retreated to a valley on the outskirts of Makkah called Shia'b Abi Talib. The Bani Hashim and the Bani Abdel Muttalib, Muslims and non-Muslims, all joined their leaders in the valley. The only exception is the uncle of Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ Another, Abu Lahab.
During the boycott period, Abu Talib was concerned for the safety of the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ P. For this reason, he usually ordered him to lie on his bed when people went to their beds. And when the people were already completely asleep, he ordered one of his sons, brothers or nephews to sleep in the bed of the Prophet, while he ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ was ordered to sleep in their beds.
Thus, he could tell if there was someone who was about to stab him ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ P.H.id secretly. Because at that time the news circulated that Umar bin Khatab ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ converted to Islam.
The food supply for the Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ and his supporters were only sent by a few non-Muslims in Makkah who felt sorry for them. These included Hakeem ibn Khuzam, Khadijah's nephew, and Al-Mot'am ibn 'Adi.
Every few weeks, they secretly send Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ The Muslims who followed him with camel supplies. However, it was so inadequate that the Condition of the Bani Hashim and the Bani Muttalib was truly appalling, they were starving. Until finally they can only eat leaves and animal skins.
The Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ and his companions would even tie stones in their stomachs to relieve their hunger. The health of the Muslims at that time deteriorated and their bodies weakened daily. Surviving in such conditions is almost impossible. There is always light at the end of the tunnel.
The Muslims were in the valley with Abu Talib ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ & survived for almost three years under such conditions. Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ did not give up. Regardless of the situation, he went to meet delegates coming from different parts of Arabia for pilgrimage or business, then would invite them to convert to Islam.
As the situation deteriorated and the health of Muslims deteriorated greatly, the Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ prayed to be able to fight the assailants. After that, Mecca experienced a severe drought season.
Mentioned in the Nuzul Asbabun Smart Book compiled by the Lajnah Pentashihan Mushal Al-Qur'an R&D Agency and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the reason for the decline of the letter or asbabun nuzul surah Ad Dukhan was at that time the Quraysh were in a period of famine that resulted in a long famine.
This event did not happen without cause because the Quraysh were against the preach of the Prophet. Because of the great hunger, their view began to darken. It was as if there was smoke in front of their eyes. The event is also contained in His word in Surah Ad Dukhan verses 10-16:
It means: "Then wait for the day (when) the sky brings a clear smog, (which) includes man (durhaka). This is a painful punishment. (They prayed) "O our Lord, take the punishment away from us. We are the believers." How can they receive the warning (after the torment), whereas (formerly) an Apostle (Prophet Muhammad) has really come to them (to) give an explanation. Then, they turned away from him and said, "He (Prophet Muhammad) was taught (by others) again to be crazy." Verily, (if) We will take away the punishment for a moment, you will return (disbelieved). (Remember) on the day (when) We struck them with a great blow. We are the reciprocators."
