Isra' which means night journey is the event when Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ The Kaaba in Makkah to Jerusalem. The distance from Mecca to Jerusalem is about 1,239 kilometers which in about 621 AD is normally taken by horse or camel travel about a month. However, Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ achieved it in just a short time.
There is another hadith who says,
It means: From Anas ibn Malik, that the Prophet SAW once said as follows: Said to me Buraq, which is an animal of white color; his body is higher than a donkey, but lower than a baghal. He placed both of his front legs on the horizon of the limit of his vision. I rode it and Jibril took me to walk until I arrived at Jerusalem Muqaddas. Then I tethered the animal in the circle where the prophets used to tether the animal. I entered the mosque and prayed two rakaats in it, after which I went out."
This event is confirmed by the Qur'an in Surat Al-Isra verse 1 :
Meaning: “Hasuci Allah, who had carried His servant one night from the Grand Mosque to the Masjid Al Aqsa which We had blessed around him so that We might show him some of Our (great) signs. Verily He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.”
In the book of Qishshah Mi'akan Nabi by Sheikh Najmudin Al Ghoidzi, described on the way from Ka'bah to Jerusalem, Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ was stopped several times, namely in Madinah, near Sajarah Musa AS. (where Moses took shelter while hunted by the King of Pharaoh), Mount Sinai, to Bethlehem the birthplace of Prophet Isa AS. (The story will be described in the next chapter, God willing.)
On the way, Gabriel USA accompanied the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ , while the US Mikail on the left. According to the story of Ibn Sa'ad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ , Jibril AS. held the stirrup of the Buraq saddle, while Mikail US. held the control rope. They drove through the natural beauty of Allah Ta'ala which is full of wonder and wisdom with His faith and grace towards Jerusalem Palestine.
On the way they stopped at a place full of date palms, and the Angel Gabriel said: "Come down here and pray". After He prayed, Jibril said: "Are you where you pray?" "No" replied the Prophet. Jibril said: "You have prayed in Thoybah (another name of Medina) and there you will emigrate".
Then Buraq set out again to continue the journey, as fast as lightning he stepped his feet as far as the sight of his eyes, suddenly Jibril AS. exclaimed: "Stop and go down and pray in this place!". After praying and returning to Buraq, Jibril AS. informs him that He ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ prayers in Madyan, on the side of the tree where Moses the US had been under him and rested while being chased by Pharaoh's soldiers.
It is described in the hadith narrated by Anas bin Malik;
Meaning: I rode the Buraq with Jibril and kept walking. Suddenly Jibril said, "Come down, O Muhammad, and pray." I did and Jibril then said, "Do you know where you were praying? You were praying in a good place, you're going to emigrate." Then Jibril said again, "Come back down and pray." After I did, Jibril said, "Do you know where you were praying? You prayed on Mount Sinai, where Moses had a dialogue with God." (HR An Nasa'i).
Reporting from About Islam, Tuesday (24/8), both Islam, Christianity and Judaism have a spiritual bond to the story of the Prophet Moses of the United States. On Mount Sinai, the Prophet Moses of the US had one of his greatest miracles when he led the Hebrews out of Egypt.
In the 4th century AD, Coptic Christians came to the mountain and established a small church in the place where it was believed that God spoke to Moses in the form of a burning bush. For Muslims, this story is told in the Qur'an in the letter of Al-Araf verse 143.
Still on Mount Sinai also stands a Monastery of St. Catherine is revered by many as one of the most sacred places on earth. The monastery has survived many groups of desert robbers over the past 1,500 years.
The Muslims left it intact even during the Crusades because it was to honor the history of the US Prophet Moses. The monastery was a place for the Children of Israel to wait for Moses for 40 days.
Then He ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ There.
Then Jibril USA told him ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ You prayed in the Temple of Lahm (Bethlehem, Jerusalem), the birthplace of Prophet Jesus bin Maryam".
