Chapter.24 Meeting with Amanda

Darren returns to the hotel where he was staying.He is so confused to find information where else to find Amanda.Darren standing in front of the window of the hotel room looking at the atmosphere outside.See a church not far from the her hotel, she intends to go to church to pray.

In the church only a handful of people were praying, he sat in the church chair and closed his eyes.Darren prayed for the safety of Anna and Aunt Sarah.Darren opened his eyes, and he opened his eyes,a woman in a white dress was sitting in the church seat right in front of her.Darren could only see the woman's back, Darren was about to leave the church but the notification of the call from the number was not known.

"Hallo, who is this?"

"Mr Pitter"

"Yes, who are you?"

"I'm Bella"

Darren sat back down, busy chatting with Bella.Women in front of Darren stood up from his seat, he would leave the church.Darren was still busy calling with Bella, Bella,when the woman turned around Darren saw the woman as if she was familiar with the woman's face.

"Mrs Amanda"

Amanda was out of the church, Darren ran after Amanda but she had gone to take a taxi.She tried to chase Amanda but she was very difficult to get a taxi, because her car was in the hotel.

"Why am I so stupid!!Why did I just remember it!If she's Mrs Amanda"

Darren won't be able to catch up with Amanda because he didn't get a passing taxi.

Next Day

Darren decided to go back to church, maybe today Amanda will go back to church. Darren waits in the church, he's been waiting for Amanda for 5 hours, but he hasn't come yet.

"What are you doing here?"said father Leon.

"I-I'm looking for someone, father"

"Who?Is it in the church?"

"I don't know if he's here or not, but I saw him here yesterday but I don't recognize him and don't know where else to look"

"Mrs Amanda Scott, do you know her?"

"Amanda, is she a widow whose job is as a cafe waiter?"

"Cafe Maid?I don't know the father, because he's long lost contact with his family.Does the father know him?"

"I know Amanda's name but I don't know if it's Amanda you're referring to or not.She's been here a lot on Wednesdays and Sundays.But if you want to make sure it's true or not, I'll give you the address "

The pastor gave Amanda an address that he thought was Mr. Morgan's Ex-Wife. Darren headed to the address given by the priest who was so far away.The address went to an apartment with 4 floors.

She waited in her car, waiting for people to get out of the Apartment.She waited very long, suddenly a man came out of the Apartment.Darren got out of his car to ask.

"Master wait!"

"Yes what's wrong?"

"Do you know this address?"while handing out a piece of address paper

"Yes right, this is my apartment address"

"Do you know Mrs Amanda Scott?"

"All I know is that Amanda's name in the apartment is 4 people, but I don't know their full name"

"Are you looking for someone named Amanda?How the specs might I be able to help you "

"She's a widow, she seems to be living alone.That's all I know"

"There are 2 Amanda who are Widows, one works at a Cafe the other she rarely goes home no matter what her job is.But if Amanda who works at the Cafe, I don't know where the place is"

The man left Darren, Darren got into his car.He had to wait to see if it was true that Amanda who worked at the Cafe that he meant.Day started the night but Amanda did not go home yet,he was still waiting in his car.

He looked at his watch which had shown at 23:00,but Amanda has not yet returned home.Darren bowed his head in the steering wheel of his car.A car that stopped across the road that dropped a woman.The woman was not so clear because the lighting there was very minimal.

The woman crossed the street leading to the apartment building, Darren got out of his car and saw the woman clearly.

"Mrs Amanda?"

"Yes" while looking

"Are you, Miss Amanda Scott?"

"Where do you know my name?"

Darren looked at Amanda with a meaningful look.

"Hey Sir!!"

"I-iya.iya..pardon me..I know you from...."

Darren doesn't dare to tell Amanda he's Mr. Morgan's man.

"From who?"

"Deasy?Who are you?"

"I'm the one Deasy told to look for you.Because she's worried about your circumstances?"

"How do you know I'm here?"

"I saw you yesterday in the church, but I can't chase you.It turns out Pastor Leon knows you"

"So you know from Pastor?"

"Are you waiting for that?"

Amanda heard Darren's hungry stomach rumble.He looked at Darren with a smile.

"What if you get into my apartment?I'll make you eat first"

Darren follows Amanda to her apartment room, not knowing why Darren's heart feels so happy to see Amanda who still looks beautiful and charming.

"Do you live alone?"

Amanda invited Darren to enter, in the Apartment there is a very narrow but minimalist living room, and 2 rooms.Amanda went directly to the kitchen, preparing materials to make dishes for Darren.

"Oh yeah, what's your name?"ask Amanda

"Where's your son, the Lady?"

"Will he work?"

"No, he's still in school.Usually he sleeps at his friend's house because he doesn't want to be home alone"

"Your son is still in school?"

"How old is he?"

"He's only 15"

Darren felt there was a discrepancy because Mr. Morgan's separation from Amanda was 23 years old,but Amanda said her son was only 15 years old.Suddenly a child came still wearing a uniform and carrying a backpack in his hand.

"Have you come home, baby, have you made your favorite dishes?"said Amanda

Amanda warm greeting to her son who just came home, not his reply but the boy was indifferent to Amanda.She immediately went into his room.Darren sat in the dining chair, and,Amanda tidied up the food put her on the dining table.

"That kid if he's told to eat is really hard"

Amanda's son named Samuel, Amanda stepped foot into the son's room, not reciprocated attention just so his son berated Amanda because he wanted to rest.Darren heard Samuel yelling at Amanda with a rude word, and then he said,Darren stood up from his chair and headed to Samuel's room, but Amanda came out of her son's room with teary eyes.

"Why is your son so outrageous?"

"It's okay, Pitter, I'm used to it"

Amanda stroked Darren's shoulders, calming him down if he was okay over the treatment of his son.Amanda invited Darren to eat with her, actually Darren felt very angry when Samuel berated Amanda, and she was very angry,but she held back her emotions because Amanda calmed her down.

Amanda invites Darren to sit down, and enjoy his cooking.Bribery after bribe Darren feel the warmth in Amanda.She is a mother who is very extraordinary according to her.

"Is my food good?"ask Amanda.

"Very good Mistress"

"Where are you staying?"

"I live in Weston, the Lady"

"Weston's?Is Morgan still the mayor there?"

"What?!"Huk... Huk...Huk..."

Darren chokes when Amanda calls out Mr. Morgan's name.

"Be careful, drink this"

"Do you know Mr Morgan?"

"There's no need to talk about him anymore" Amanda said.

Darren feels that Amanda still has deep feelings for Mr. Morgan, but her painful past makes her want to get away from it all.
