The sun is now rising, the rays are spreading wider— making the sky become more blue and bright. The morning mist was now slowly fading away, leaving only the rest of the morning dew still dripping and the quiet sound of the river flow.

“Is your home near here?” The young man's voice broke the silence, Li Ying who was now stroking the head of his horse turned his head and said.

“No, my place of residence is quite far from here.” Answer's short.

Hearing that, the young man frowned, silent for a moment before saying again. “Then how did you get to this place? What are you looking for?” Ask again.

Li Ying, who heard the question, did not immediately reply, he fell silent for a while before finally saying. “I'm looking for freedom, don't you ever think of getting out of your lair and seeing this vast world? In the past I always thought to explore many places, but unfortunately at that time there was a responsibility that I had to bear— I could not leave it.” He was silent for a moment, giving a little pause. “But now it's different, I'm just a little kid can be five years old. No burden or responsibility, I can do whatever I want. Including exploring the world to the sidelines.” He said, with a facial expression filled with determination.

The young man who heard the words of the little girl could only remain silent in his mind. Never once in his life did he see a child who spoke like this. He was just a child whose height was no more than an adult's knees, yet after hearing all that now he started to feel doubtful.

“Is he really five years old?” The young man muttered in his heart.

“Then what about your family? What do-don't they already..” The young man did not continue his words, deliberately hanging in the middle of the road because he did not want to hurt the girl's feelings.

Li Ying who understood what the young man was thinking smiled and shook his head. “They are still alive, also in good health. You don't have to worry about them, maybe my mom would feel better without me!” His word.

“Then where will you go after this?” Ask the young man.

And Li Ying simply said. “Whatever, as long as it catches my attention!” Her speech.

The young man's forehead creased as soon as he heard this little girl's words. Not only was he weird and creepy, he was apparently also very reckless.

“You should have stayed home, played with dolls and the like.” The young man crouched down, aligned his height with the little girl and looked at her face sharply. “Quickly tell me where your house is, I will drive you home soon!” Say it firmly.

Hearing that, Li Ying raised one of her eyebrows. Staring at the young man before him with a wondering expression. “Why do you want to return me?” Ask with a flat face.

“It's just weird if I let a little kid like you roam around aimlessly, it's too dangerous!” He said that looked very serious.

Li Ying now slightly tilted her head to the left, her facial expression still looking flat. And looking straight at the young man's eyes, he said. “Why do you look so worried? We don't even know each other, and you know nothing about me!” Speak with cold.

It seemed that the young man meant what he said. His intentions were good because he wanted to help a little girl who he thought was crazy, but unfortunately it was not something Li Ying wanted to do.

For a moment they exchanged glances with silence, fighting between one argument with another argument through the eyes of a sharp clash. And after a few short minutes, Li Ying finally sighed and said.

“Alright!” Li Ying sighed with a resigned face, as if giving up on the decision the young man had taken.

Hearing that, the frown on the young man's forehead disappeared. Soon she smiled so brightly, then reached out her hand and gently stroked Li Ying's head.

“Good if you finally understand.” He said that looks so satisfied.

“But young man, is there a residential area around here?” Li Ying asked suddenly. The young man who heard the little girl's words raised one of his eyebrows in surprise and said. “Why do you call me young man? You sound like an old man!” He said, then said back. “There is a countryside here, why did you ask?” He said, who asked back.

Instead of answering the question from the young man, Li Ying now responded by asking another question. “What is the village where you live?” Ask again, and this time with a meaningful tone and gaze.

Seeing that, the young man frowned again. I don't know why there is something strange. His manner of speaking, the tone in each of his sentences, and the strange gaze of that pair of clear round eyes.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” The young man asked, still frowning suspiciously.

Li Ying heard that and now smiled faintly, waving his right hand as he said to the young man. “Come here, can you come closer to-ari?” He said, telling the young man.

He also took a step forward, eroding a little distance even though he was a little worried. “What's up?” Ask again.

“Be closer, bow down a little bit of your body!” Li Ying said.

Although feeling strange and a little suspicious, the young man still obeyed and stepped closer. “Actually what...” The young man had not yet finished his words, just as he was about to bow down, suddenly a hand hit him on the neck quickly and violently. Knowing that both his eyes were now wide open, but before he could digest what was going on, his eyes began to darken, now, the atmosphere around him was suddenly quiet—as if something clogged his ears. And the last thing he remembered and felt was the sound of ‘bug’ along with the collapse of his body to the ground.

Li Ying who saw that was now exhaling a long breath, massaging her wrinkled forehead with a depressed face. Then he looked to the side, staring at a dog that was now beginning to bark loudly at him. “Calm down, your master just fainted! He was very noisy, so I had to use a small trick to trick him.” He was silent for a moment, crouched down and looked at the face of the young man who was now closing his eyes tightly. “Let's take him to his village, I'm not a vile old man who will leave this innocent child alone in a state of unconsciousness with a dog.” He said, then trying to lift the young man's body to be placed on the horse's back.

Author : Hello everyone, Li Ying is back again😅. Previously the author wanted to apologize for not up in a long time😞🙏 Lately the author is quite busy, so do not have time to make a story. Especially now that the author also has to work part-time while in school. So after going home from work directly to school, there is no more free time to write a novel like first. Even if there is free time will usually be used for rest, because my sleeping hours are only 5 hours because there is an additional part-time work earlier.
