A Match for the Princess

A Match for the Princess
#The driver in the light of day

A week has passed since the Bram family's official application. Dhani is not too worried about the wedding because everything has been handed over to the WO.

Bram still calls her every day. Friendly video call to let go of longing while discussing happily things about their wedding plans. Perfect until that day...

Dhani called Bram's number again, which he had been unable to reach since this morning. And last night Bram still greet him through v call as usual.

The WO asked when Bram and Dhani could make time for fitting their wedding gowns and suits. And Bram disappeared.

Dhani contacts Anna, Bram's mother, to ask where Bram is.

"Good day mom, how are you?" Dhani opened the conversation.

" Day dear, good mom. Are you too, baby..? " Anna answered softly

" Good mom, do you know why Bram can't be contacted? And last night we were still talking about mi?" Dhani's tone seemed a little anxious.

" Maybe Bram's still on the plane baby, didn't Bram tell me he was going to M this morning?"

"Oh so, no mi. Bram didn't say anything last night about the trip this morning, maybe last night forgot because we talked a lot about the wedding" Dhani replied in relief.

At least he knew Bram wasn't answering the phone because he was on the plane. Although also a little wonder why Bram did not tell that this morning he had a business trip to the city of M on the island of Sumatra.

" Is there anything important, dear?" ask Anna again.

" That's mi, the WO side asked us for a suit fitting. Then try Dhani to call Bram in a few hours. Thank you mi" Dhani closed her call.

The girl suddenly felt her heart pounding strangely. There was an uneasy feeling of just charging into the recesses of his heart. " Bram promises you'll be fine" she whispered slowly as if to calm herself down.

Dhani tries to forget the pain in his heart by returning to his office work. Dhani must finish all urgent matters before the holidays to prepare for her wedding.

It doesn't feel like it's afternoon. Office hours are over. Lim, Baron's assistant who is also Dhani's mentor has a while ago said goodbye.

" Dear, let's go home" Baron suddenly stood on the doorstep of Dhani's room.

Dhani jerks from her daydream "Ah papa.iya pa.." Dhani immediately put on a blazer hanging from his chair. Picking up the bag, turning off the room lights and hurrying to follow Baron's footsteps towards the elevator.

" Is there anything you think, baby?" Baron looked at Dhani's slightly pale face.

" Bram pa's...Dhani hasn't been able to reach him since morning. Mami told Bram to go to the town of M by plane. Should have arrived earlier, right, pa? But his phone still can't be contacted by Dhani." Dhani spoke without looking at Baron's face. His eyes looked teary. Anxious and confused control Dhani's feelings.

" Dear, papa knows you're worried. But we better pray that's okay. Positive thinking only, maybe Bram immediately there is a meeting so no time to contact. Or maybe they ran out of battery? " The baron tries to calm his now-cluttered daughter.

" Hmm yes pa, hopefully.amin" Dhani hugs Baron's waist. The middle-aged man embraces his daughter's shoulder and kisses Dhani's head gently. For a moment Dhani felt calm in the embrace of his papa.

When he was about to enter the car door that had been opened by Mr. Sukir, Baron's phone rang. And Baron found Dimas' name there calling him.

" Yes kangmas, what's wrong?" ask the Baron quickly.

Then the Baron listened to Dimas who spoke carefully. Suddenly the Baron's face paled, even his body slightly staggered. Dhani catches his papa's hand and holds him.

" Well.good kangmas.kabari I keep kangmas"

The baron suddenly hugged Dhani tightly. Samar Dhani heard the sound of sobs from the man she loved.

" What's the matter, pa?" Dhani stretches out her papa's arms for an explanation.

Baron looked at Dhani. Her father was really crying. His eyes look red. There were tears inundated there even though the Baron tried hard to keep her from falling. This time Dhani saw her father crying.

Honey, let's get in the car. Let's go home first, papa explain along the way." Baron opened the car door. Dhani came in followed by Baron later.

Mr. Sukir immediately ran the car as soon as he saw his two masters were already sitting in the back seat.

" Papa, don't make Dhani confused and curious. What did Papi Dimas say?" Dhani demanded her papa who still looked in shock.

Baron did not answer but instead opened his laptop and immediately saw a news portal on the internet.

Dhani frowned and joined in seeing the news that the Baron had opened. News of the downing of a commercial airliner with a flight route from the city of S to the city of M.

The deg!! Dhani's heart is beating fast. I can't wait to get my laptop out of Baron's lap. Holding up his voice and looking at the complete news.

" Bram." whispered softly. Almost without sound.

Suddenly, Dhani's tears were pouring down her red cheeks. The girl cried without a sound.

" Dear, calm down. There has been no official government notification of casualties. Let's just pray, baby. I hope Bram is okay.

Dhani did not respond to the Baron at all. His hands were busy typing something on the laptop. Look for all the information connected to the news about the crash. Occasionally his hands rubbed rough tears that seemed unwilling to stop wetting his beautiful face.

" It's impossible!" exclaim Dhani speaks for herself. "He couldn't have been on that plane. He didn't say he was going. He hasn't fitted a shirt yet. He has not yet sworn his wedding vows. He said he couldn't wait to be with me. She can't go.." racau Dhani.

" Dear, please don't be like this. " The baron wept dumbstruck to see and hear Dhani muttering to herself. The girl didn't even see him at all.

The baron felt so ill seeing his beloved daughter so devastated by the news that he refused to believe the news.

Until then on the screen clearly displayed the passenger manifest of the plane. The name of the passenger who died, seriously injured, survived to disappear. And it is clearly visible there that the name Bramantyo Brotonegoro is included in the manifest of the missing passengers.

Dhani felt her head turn. Throbbing uncontrollably before it was all dark. His body collapsed helplessly. Drooping weakly beside the Baron who was holding his shoulders.

" Quick sir Sukir. Dhani passed out, we stopped by Dr. Rudy's house first. Hopefully Dhani is okay." exclaimed Baron.

" Inggih Ndoro (Yes Tuan)" Pak Sukir nodded obediently. Increase the speed of his car to the house of doctor Rudy who is not far away.

The baron lays down Dhani's limp body. Put the girl's head on her lap and fondle the girl's head. Her tears returned to look at the beautiful face that was now swollen. The remains of tears did not appear to have dried up there. Lovingly her delicate hand wiped the girl's tears.

" Stella, is this honey? Is this a dream? I won't be able to see him suffer..." Baron wiped his tears with a handkerchief.
