22. Eating poison or being poisoned?

Hasan buried the two children. Sadness could not be contained when he remembered his conversation with the two deceased.

That night, while Hasan was still working as an angkot driver he came to their house to buy rice as a normal day.

The two children ate very well. Hasan asked what their dream was. The youngest son replied 'wants to be a pilot', the eldest son wants to be an actress, even though his face is subpar.

Who would have thought that the child would die at such a young age.

After returning from the grave Hasan picked up a can of salden fish that was the cause of death of his neighbor.

The bodies of the two children were not autopsied. Their alleged death poisoning was made by neighbors of victims who saw their mouths filled with foam upon death.

Hasan picks up the can, acting as a cop to find out the truth.

The next day, Hasan was asked to investigate cases of child poisoning near his former home.

Apparently the parents of the two children had just found out that Arqan was a BPOM officer, the body that oversees medicine and food. 

It was with great sadness that the two of them came to the BPOM office and knelt down in front of Hasan who still did not understand what was happening. 

"Please investigate the death of our son Mr. Hasan." Pinta them with a swish.

Unfortunately Hasan has a lot of work so can not come quickly. But the mother of the children instead shouted at Hasan and then berated him.

Hearing that Hasan was aware and chose to take the case. 

Hasan took Mr. Naryono to the lab to pick up a can of fish yesterday from Doctor Brian's hand.

"Why did you ask for my help just to get stuff from Doctor Brian?" Asked Mr. Naryono in surprise. 

"I'm just kind of lazy to talk to him. He's the type who doesn't want to stop talking" Hasan said based on his experience studying for a week with the man.

"I didn't know he was like that." Refute Mr. Naryono.

It turns out Dr. Brian wasn't in the lab. Hasan took the can along with a drop of sauce placed in a plastic bag. 

The droplets inside the plastic bag are samples that have been studied.

Hasan pointed out that both the father and mother of the victim and explained that their allegations about the expiration of killing their child were true. 

Hasan quoted Dr. Brian as saying shortly after examining a sample of canned fish.

"Products that have been past their expiration date have long been filled with bacteria that are as deadly as toxins. That's the reason your two kids' mouths are spitting out the foam. They're poisoning bacteria in that rotten food."

After Hasan finished his explanation suddenly the mother roared loudly. The name Fatma was repeated many times.

Info from the father, Fatma is a stall entrepreneur who gives the canned fish only to him.

Police and a BPOM member were sent to arrest Fatma. 

Hasan was not sent down because Hajeera presented himself first.

"'Hajeera.. Are you able to find expired food?"

"If you keep going my career could be threatened. Sometimes I have to do my own job, besides that I'm not an amateur so there's no need to worry."

Hajeera's sweet attitude to Hasan made men envious, especially in Pink Man.

Hasan waved his hand at Hajeera as a form of salutation.

The doctor grabbed Hasan by the shoulder and pulled him into the lab, while Siska held Hasan's hand. The feud between the two is inevitable. 

Brian wanted to show Hasan something in the lab, while Siska wanted to take Hasan to lunch together.

In the back seat, Pink Man enjoys the agony of Hasan being pulled by two men to opposite sides.

"Don't be stubborn, Siska, it's for her job."

Hasan wiped his tears with a tissue from Siska's mother.

"Are you sure you want to do it here? The price of one room is quite expensive?" Ask mbak Siska.

Hasan who we thought was a good man turned out to be dark with just one simple invitation.
