The many and busy people who are now the background do not bother the woman at all to take a slow sip of cigarettes between her fingers.
He exhaled slowly before then he took a deep breath and let out a frustrated sigh. He was very trying to regulate his emotions not to overflow.
Repeatedly a rough sigh rang out from her beautiful lips.
Agatha stands on the balcony of Diamond Hall where her wedding to Christopher will take place tomorrow.
Yeah, she's getting married tomorrow.
B E S O K's.
He was eager to convince himself that this was just his nightmare, but unfortunately all the things around him actually convinced him that all this was real.
Thinking about it made Agatha frustrated and depressed, but did not know why her head could not find a way to reverse this.
What happens if I jump from here? – her inner as she gazes down from the third floor where she stands now.
Agatha was anxious to cry out her emotions now, but unfortunately she could not do that and only made her chest feel even more claustrophobic.
Her memory hovers back at the events of one week ago, when she met her father in the hospital.
When the father asked him to marry and also rejected it which made the father back in bad condition.
....
We're getting married. Agatha Dwyne Anderson, I'll marry you.'
That was the sentence that Chtistopher had said and managed to make Agatha freeze expressionlessly. His heart was already shouting out loudly the word NO, but his lips could not pronounce it.
From the corner of his eyes was a doctor who took action on his father, while the older brother looked tired and similarly frustrated.
I have to how... Daddy's?
The burst of emotions he had been holding back from earlier made him unable to breathe, it was so stifling that a clear crystal ball of water burst down from his beautiful eyes. And when he could no longer contain it, his tears flowed down his bowed face.
Christ's large hand gently wiped his tears and grabbed his body in his warm embrace.
Agatha just cried in silence, if she was in her usual state she would have already pushed this man who suddenly hugged her but at the moment she had no energy for it.
And when his father was in better shape a few hours later, in front of his father and brother, Christopher declared he would marry him.
....
"What meda? I'm looking for you everywhere, going back to the office now?" Joshua came to her with a smile, looking at Agatha's still dazed face.
"Hm."
"Don't think much of anything, because I think you've made the right decision. Sometimes fate gives its own way. And I believe this will be a wonderful ending for you, Agatha."
"But this decision is not from the heart, Joshie. I don't want to hurt Christ and the others."
"I know, but this is for your father's sake and believe me it's the right time for you to come back like the old Agatha."
Agatha sighed, looking at her hand that was still holding her cigarette box. Why can't cigarettes comfort him this time?
The vibration of the phone in his grasp made him re-awaken, a call from Christ.
"I went to your office but you weren't there."
"I'm in the Hall with Joshua."
"Shall I pick you up?"
"No need, I'll be back now," shutting down her phone, Agatha turned around and brought Joshua back.
"Hm, huh?"
"I want to visit Mikael before my wedding day. You want to accompany me?"
"Of course, I'll accompany you."
Arriving at the office, Christ was waiting in the room with Leon who grew up once came. Agatha felt Christ's presence made her feelings mixed again.
"Hi Christ, Hi Leon. You guys waited a long time?" greet Joshua to both guests while Agatha who has no intention of greeting then sits followed by Joshua next to her.
"Why didn't you tell Hall I could go with you."
"I just checked there for a minute, nothing important. What's suddenly coming here?"
As Agatha's lips make an uncomfortable silence, Christ still seems to be processing answers when Joshua interrupts.
"Agatha, can't you be more warm to Christ? You're getting married tomorrow! Should there be such awkwardness? Why don't you guys behave like other couples getting married?" joshua asked with patience trying to be maintained.
"Josh, it's okay. Don't be mad at Agatha" Christ said calmly.
"I'm not angry Christ, it's just that I can't see you guys like this. Especially you Agatha. What else do I have to say for you to listen to me?"
"I'm listening to you, Joshie."
"It looks like you two should talk a little longer, Joshua come with me. We have to go to the boutique for last fitting," said Leon interrupted with a smile on his lips then moved to invite Joshua and left a pair of brides-to-be who look like two strangers.
"Agatha."
"Sorry Christ, I know you're offended by my attitude. I'm just not used to it and I haven't been able to fully accept this marriage" Agatha said quickly, realizing that her attitude was outrageous.
"I understand."
"Christ.. Are you sure you want to marry me? I mean—you realize how often I tell you that I don't love you? I don't want to hurt you later."
"I know and I'm aware of all that you're trying to show me Agatha, but that feeling can't be regulated like that right? My feelings for you are much greater than I would have liked, even though I tried to wake up because you rejected me. But the truth is that I'm falling more and more in love with you," Christ seemed so earnestly saying it that Agatha couldn't look inside the man.
"But I'll only hurt you later."
"I don't mind if you hurt me, but I make sure to make you love me too Agatha. You just don't want to open your heart, I know you've been hurt for something in the past but you've got to get out of that fear and pain."
"Christ I—"
"You can't not fall in love, Agatha. You don't want to fall in love."
Agatha fell silent, perhaps what this man before her said was true. But he also could not control the emptiness in his heart that was already too wide gaping. It is not as easy as people say to open their hearts and accept the presence of another love. Heart refused.
"I promise to make you love me Agatha. Take my word."
"Christ, don't be like this. You're too good for this, even though you were so annoying and pissed me off before, but I'm grateful for all the help you've given me," agatha said with a faint smile on the corner of her lips.
"No, I'll prove it. So trust me too the marriage we're going to have." said Christ with a gaze that somehow made Agatha herself hesitant, should she persevere following her ego or following the man before her?
"Alright, I don't want to undermine your faith Christ but let me give you the conditions for our marriage."
"What condition, Agatha?"
"You can do anything to make me fall in love with you, but only for two years. If the deadline arrives and I can't love you then let me go."
Christopher looked at the woman before him with a hard-to-understand look, but implied a slight wound in it. It happens again as before when Agatha sets the conditions for their engagement on the basis of cooperation but fate brings them to a marriage. So should she accept Agatha's terms again this time, even if it means that her love's sincerity will hurt in the end if reality doesn't match her expectations?
Love is at stake, right?
Breathing slowly Christopher then smiled at the woman he loved. If this was indeed a gamble then he would do so and hope that fate would help him again.
"Alright, I accept your terms. Two years to make you fall in love and when that happens then I'll never let you go. And we'll never get divorced."
"I agree to it."
Each one stared in silence with their own expectations. Whatever it is in the time they have agreed let destiny show the truth the way later. They just need to work and the universe will answer the results.
A smile is on each other's lips, because they realize that this marriage will not be easy.
