Agatha Anderson — After Wedding Party

...For in the oath that is spoken so many hopes are kindled. Although a great wind blows to extinguish it....

Agatha took off her high heels then threw the body onto the bed. Really tired of standing for almost five hours at a party and constantly smiling.

The guests who came were not many, just some friends and close relations of his family and Christ. It was classified as a private party with fewer than eighty guests because it remembered the reputation of both families who were quite famous, the Anderson family and the Winston doctor.

Agatha never lingered in party invitations before, just 30 minutes to an hour usually. Therefore he did not expect that the wedding party could be this long.

Her wedding party had just ended and she was now in the hotel room where Christ was staying.

Her back feels stiff especially since it was wrapped by a super tight dress that makes her unable to breathe freely.

The sound of a message notification on his phone made him open his eyes and reach for the phone on the pillow.

Message from Joshua.

Happy new life, my dear.

I hope this is a new beginning to your happiness.

And yes, I hope you didn't mess up your first night.

You know what I mean, right?

Anyway, I won't bother you as long as you guys go on your honeymoon.

And don't call me, okay?

Congratulations again, dear.

Agatha chirped after reading the message from her best friend. Joshua could have sent him such a message. I mean—why to be reminded of the first night that even he himself did not think about.

Actually not not thinking at all, Agatha also had time to think about it because after all she and Christ were married. But the problem is that they are married with an agreement and a deadline, and the main thing is the absence of love in his heart.

Is it possible to 'sleep together' without love? Isn't that rude?

Agatha let out a short sigh, I don't know she'll talk to Christ again later.

Oh, speaking of Christ, it must have been the man back in the Hall because when they were leaving, Leon called out to him and there seemed to be something serious they needed to talk about.

Unwilling to think about it Agatha then opened her suitcase and took out one of her sleeping dresses. He would shower and sleep after.

Agatha had just finished after thirty minutes of soaking in hot water to relax her body.

Intending to dry her hair and take a hairdryer, Agatha is surprised to find Christ sitting leaning back with his hands playing the phone. The man had removed his black tuxedo leaving a white shirt rolled up to his arm and a few buttons that opened on the top.

Seeing Agatha's arrival, the man immediately put down his phone and turned his attention to Agatha.

"Have you finished your shower?" ask her with a faint smile on her lips.

"Well, where have you been?" Agatha sat down and prepared a hairdryer at the dressing table.

"Ah, there was an important guest coming. Actually more appropriately called the client anyway, just came from Japan for a new contract with the company. I told Leon to take his place, but he insisted on meeting and coming here."

"Talking about work on the wedding day?"

"No, he came to congratulate me" the man replied, then moved closer to Agatha.

Taking over the towel and hairdyer from Agatha's hands, Christ began to dry her hair.

Agatha was actually quite surprised but did not show it, she just silently stared at the reflection of Christ's figure from the mirror.

"Christ, you still remember our deal before marriage, right?"

"Hm?"

"Christ, I seriously asked."

"Yes, I remember. Why?"

"You know that I don't love you?" agatha asked a little worried that the man would be offended.

Agatha slightly hesitantly looked at Christ's reflection in the mirror before continuing, "Alright, take it for granted. Then the problem now is—" it feels difficult for Agatha's mouth to pronounce it, isn't this topic prone to being talked about by newly married couples?

Sighing her breath, Agatha closed her eyes at a glance. Christ was still focused on drying his hair.

"Christ, the problem is—because I don't have those feelings for you, what about our first night?" he said in the end.

For a moment Christ's hand stopped tracing Agatha's strands of hair, but not for long the man continued.

"So you're thinking about this?" her question then that in Agatha's ears strangely sounded quite calm.

"Of course I thought about it. I mean—I don't want you to be angry or offended but a relationship like that can't it only be done by people who love each other?"

"Hhh, it's not okay like I've hurt you," said Agatha not tasty because really she herself confused how to.

"I'm sorry, Christ."

The man did not answer and still focused his hands on his work.

"Agatha, do you remember what I said in our deal?" asked the man in the end, Agatha was just silent and unsure what to respond to.

"Yes, I remember. You're gonna try to change my feelings."

"True, I'll work anything out for it."

"That means you're gonna make me do it?"

Christ smiled then looked back at Agatha from the mirror reflection.

"No, I won't force you because it will only hurt you. All I'm saying is, you might not be ready for our first night and I understand that."

Putting his hairdryer back on the table, Christ smiled.

"We can skip the 'first night' part of our marriage" she whispered later.

Agatha who had been a little nervous at this man's answer just now felt shocked.

"Aren't you mad at me?"

"No."

"Why? Shouldn't you be angry or offended?"

Agatha now turned her seat to face the man who was her husband.

"It's dry."

"What?" agatha did not understand.

"Your hair is dry, Agatha."

As if ignoring the question from Agatha Christopher just tidied up the towel and hairdryer that he just wore while Agatha looked at him with a questionable gaze.

"Don't look at me like that, Agatha," said Christ, who now smiled broadly.

"But you—" Agatha stopped her speech because suddenly Christ was standing before her.

"Listen to me, Agatha. You don't have to worry about our first night well. But it's okay, I can understand it. After all, this is only the first night we missed, don't we still have hundreds of other nights together? So why are you worried about the first night?" christ continued with a smile and then his hand gently damaged Agatha's head.

"I'm gonna take a shower first. You can rest and sleep first. I'm sure you're tired" she said, then passed to the bathroom leaving Agatha still in her place.

Agatha could not think or respond to all of Christ's words.

What the fuck is this guy?

Why was his response completely different to what he was waiting for?

Isn't it natural that he overreacted?

Christ did the opposite .

Is he really different?

Agatha decided not to think about it anymore, which Christ clearly understood at the point of importance. And because her body had longed to lie down, Agatha now laid herself down to rest.
