...The first night was a thrilling one. Thas right. It's just that for both of us it's for a completely different reason than everyone else....
.......
.......
.......
Agatha woke up when she felt restless movements several times from beside her. Reversing her body she saw the shrouded Christ still opening his eyes by hugging the bolster.
"What's wrong, you haven't slept?" gumam Agatha raucous.
"Ah, sorry. Did I wake you?" ask Christ with an unpleasant look.
"Well, slightly. Get some sleep, we're leaving in the morning, right?"
"Hm, I'll try to sleep. Sorry."
Agatha simply responded with a slow nod before turning to look back at Christ again. While Christ was quietly staring at the woman's back, he wanted to ask her one thing that they had forgotten to talk about because when she came back from the bathroom, Agatha was already asleep.
"Is there anything you want to say, Christ? You can hole my back with that look of yours," Agatha finally turned back to look at Christ who was a little shocked by Agatha's sensitivity.
"Emm, Agatha, as we talked about earlier, we both missed the first night but I wanted to make sure of something first."
"What?"
"So far as what are the limits of the skinship that we can do?" christ asked a little doubt and was was his wife might be angry.
Agatha blinked her eyes and seemed to think, both of them were now facing each other with Christ looking alert and Agatha whose face was still half sleepy. Honestly, Agatha had not thought about that.
Right, even if he and I don't have a 'that' relationship together, but it would be strange if a couple didn't touch each other at all?
In fact I used to hug Joshie, and did a lot of skin-ship with her besides kissing and sleeping together of course.
So to what extent will I let Christ touch me? — inner Agatha.
"What do you want?" ask Agatha at the end.
I want to have you completely of course in the sense of really having you - but I guess it will get us divorced by the age of one wedding day. — Inner Christ.
"Let's go, I'll just follow your wishes" resigned Christ who did not want to make a mistake with the answer that came out of his mouth.
"Okay, we can do anything except having**," replied Agatha who certainly made Christ straighten up and lean on the headboard.
"Wait—Agatha, what do you mean anything?" really he could not believe his ears and thought that it might just be his hallucination.
"As I said, except for one thing. I don't think I can treat you unfairly in this relationship either. Think of it as my gratitude. I have nothing to lose as long as we don't have sex."
Christ pensively heard Agatha's explanation, there was a pain that silently pierced his heart as Agatha said it like a form of gratitude. Not a relationship with more taste than that. Doesn't that mean Agatha just pityed him?
But that's okay, this is the beginning for him to get used to getting Agatha to like him later.
It's bitter but it's okay, right? The first step is always difficult.
"Alright, I understand," he answered looking straight at Agatha's brown bead, his journey just about to begin now.
"So, can I hug you?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"And can I kiss you?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"Anytime I want it?"
"As long as you do it at a reasonable time then I don't mind."
Then without warning Christ's big arm grabbed Agatha in his arms. And it was quite surprising Agatha who reflexively refused.
"You said I could do it as I please, right?"
"Yes but not all of a sudden too" grumbled Agatha who was now just silent as Christ tightened his embrace.
"I want to hug you now, you said you wouldn't refuse, right?"
"Yes yes, why are you so different from the previous annoying guy? Where did the arrogant Christopher go?"
"When am I arrogant?"
"Entering into the privacy area of a person with personal access can only be done by a person with unlimited power. And I can count with the fingers of anyone who can do it."
"Well, try to hear with your ears what you just said. That's Mr. Winston's arrogance."
"Oh, I'm sorry then Mrs Winston. Getting that kind of power is beyond my will but I'd make the most of it, because like you said only a few people can do it."
Shaking her shoulders indifferently, Agatha silently just listened.
"Oh, Christ. I'm asking you something."
"Hmm, what?" the man had already closed his eyes and tightly hugged Agatha's slender body.
"You must not forbid anything regarding anything related to Joshua. Not about our relationship and everything."
Loosening his arms so that he could look Agatha in the face, Christopher was amazed by his wife's words.
"Why can't it? Teach if your partner is jealous, especially your best friend is a handsome and perfect man like Joshua."
"Jealous only for the real couple, we don't."
"Then what do you think our relationship is called? Husband wife but not a couple?"
Agatha sighed softly, "Alright think of it like 'Friend with Benefit' but get married."
Christopher stared straight in Agatha's eyes while countless new questions and curiosities were in his head about his wife. Everything about Agatha was always beyond her expectations but strangely she did not mind it.
"That doesn't sound too bad, so we're friends but married and give each other an advantage?" continues ensuring.
"Hmm, just think of it that way."
"Is your relationship with Joshua like this?"
"No. But he's everything to me just like Gabriel is to me."
"You've been friends for a long time?"
"Yes, it's been a while. He's my everything."
"What if one day I get rid of him?" christ asked suddenly made Agatha move away and looked at her sharply.
"Then I'll get rid of you first" she replied coldly and Christ knew that wasn't a good sign.
"Why so serious? I'm just kidding and it's impossible to do it, Agatha."
Seeing his wife still looking at him piercingly, Christ sent an apologetic smile and rubbed Agatha's head, "I'm sorry, I really won't. I'm just kidding, promise."
Agatha did not respond to anything and turned her back on Christ. He was upset even if it was just a joke he didn't like. Agatha knew best and understood what it was to lose and for her quite once the pain left deep wounds for her.
Joshua, Gabriel and his father were the ones he had to look after and protect from anything because he was unwilling to lose them.
Christ felt guilty for making his wife's mood change drastically, so he slowly approached and peeked over Agatha's shoulder.
"Agatha, I'm sorry for talking so recklessly. I really sorry for that."
"Sleep Christ. You've talked too much today. I'm tired, have a good rest" he concluded in a cold tone that left Christ speechless.
Regretfully, the man laid his body beside Agatha and wrapped his arms around the thick blanket that wrapped Agatha's body.
The woman just kept quiet, did not refuse or respond to anything and Christ realized she messed up their first night.
"Goodnight, Agatha," he whispered softly before drowning his face in a strand of Agatha's soft hair.
I won't be able to do such a thing again, Agatha.
Get rid of someone who means something to you and make you drown in loss.
In the end it will drag me down in such a deep and dark abyss as well.
I won't repeat the same, Agatha.
I promise. — Christ.
