Agatha was tidying things up with her work when her bedroom door was knocked on by her mother-in-law.
Ah, it's been a week they've been living in the Winston family mansion.
"Agatha, are you busy? Is mom bothering you?" asked the charismatic middle-aged woman, walking up to her daughter who was sitting on a long sofa by the window.
"No ma'am, what's wrong? You're not going to the hospital?" Agatha shifted her seat and allowed her mother to sit next to her.
"Today I got an afternoon schedule. I want to relax at home sometimes. When else would there be a chance to talk to you if you didn't stay?" reply the woman while stroking Agatha's head gently with affection.
Agatha actually felt grateful and guilty when faced with this mother. Their marriage was not sincere and lying to her mother-in-law in this case made her feel very guilty. Her father-in-law was so kind, caring and affectionate to her.
"I'm also happy when I have time to talk to my mom."
"Darling, I actually know it's not the mother's authority to ask. It's just that—" looked at Agatha in a difficult spotlight the woman as if weighing.
"What's up, ma'am, just say it."
"Your relationship with Christ is fine, right?"
"Why did you ask me that, we are fine" replied Agatha who did not understand why her mother suddenly asked this question.
"Mother is relieved if your relationship is okay. It's been a year since you've been married, don't you want to give birth?"
Her mother's question left Agatha speechless, in fact she often got this question from Joshua and Gabriel and she could easily find a reason to answer it. But what about mom? Should he add another lie?
"That's me and Christ don't seem ready to have a baby. We both still put our jobs first, so it's hard to have one now" he replied, trying to sound calm and reassuring with his lies.
"When then?"
"Mother, it looks like I should discuss this first with Christ."
"discuss? No need for discussion to bring about the fruit of love. You guys didn't feel that way together?" those demanding and probing gazes made Agatha feel uneasy.
"Lady..."
"Agatha, if your reason for being busy puts work first, then one of you should have relented. And unfortunately in this case, it is women who have to give up in order to produce offspring and provide affection in the family. Son, you're not gonna lose your career. You can get it back after your kids start to be independent."
Agatha could not say anything to answer the mother's statement. In this situation, however, he is responsible.
"Mom didn't ask much of you, but neither me nor your father are getting any younger. We are getting older, and though we are happy to see our children happy but we are also greedy to get certainty of the successor of the family. For you this may be too colossal, but I just want you to consider it and make it happen. Don't put off what you can do, son."
After saying so and rubbing the back of Agatha's soft hand, the mother walked out of the room leaving Agatha with a new burden on her head.
The problem is that this marriage is not entirely true.
She and Christ couldn't even be said to be really a couple because never once did that 'thing' all along. There is a limit to the skinship they have agreed upon. And honestly Agatha did not expect Christ to be able to keep up.
There are times when Christ always starts to hug her, kissing her either in light or heavy intensity. Although in the end each man will break away first before locking himself for a while in the bathroom.
Agatha was not a child and she knew what happened to her husband after their 'skinship' session, which for normal couples would end up being the union of the two.
He knew Christ was holding back in order to keep his promise. But he can't do anything, can he?
They have an agreement with a deadline that until now has not been able to decide how he feels about Christ.
He had been aware of the man's sincerity all along. Always making it a priority in her life, giving her many things that often impress her, even Agatha realized that Christ's annoying figure had turned into a man who gave up a lot for her sake.
Agatha herself was always confused by him. He knew Christ so well and it might be true if he had to try to open his heart again. But the affection and guilt that always reminded him of Mikael also could not just be ignored.
He could not tell Joshua this because from the beginning his best friend did not know about his marriage which was only a deal. If you know from the beginning, surely his best friend will be strongly opposed. Agatha did not want those around her to be in trouble and become a burden.
His father, his brother and Joshua should not have known about this. And now he had to bear the consequences of keeping this matter alone and could not ask for advice or opinion. The only one we could talk to was Christ.
"Hi, you still need a long time to get home?"
'What is Sunshine? You're making me worry.'
"I'm fine. Christ, we need to talk."
'I'll be home in 1 hour after the board meeting, do you mind?'
"No, I'll wait."
'Sunshine?'
"Hmmm..."
'I love you.'
"... See you later Christ."
The best option is to discuss this so that the answers taken do not hurt anyone.

Christ hurried up the stairs to the second floor of his room. Ever since his wife said he wanted to talk seriously, his mind was not calm.
As soon as he opened the door of his room, his nether scanned the entire room looking for his wife's whereabouts.
"Agatha, I'm home."
No answer was heard, making him reach into the phone in his pocket and call his wife's number but he realized the phone was lying on a pillow.
Where's she?
"Agatha! The sunshine!"
He walked through the room but could not find Agatha. Out of his room, Christ walked through every room in this large mansion. This house is too big if used for hide and seek.
Is it possible at Arthur's place?
Yes, his brother did live here or rather in the right part of the mansion with his wife and child. Agatha usually visits Jennie there.
Just about to step there, the corner of her eyes caught Agatha's silhouette in the backyard. His wife stood behind him. His steps slowly approached.
"Agatha," he called to make the woman turn her head.
"Oh, are you home?" the answer is back, a cigarette that has been left half there in the clasp of his fingers.
"I've been looking everywhere for you, you're here."
"Ah, sorry. I'm just looking for a place to smoke" he replied, then took a sip back.
Seeing that Christ approached and looked at the two chocolate beads that became his favorite.
"I will not forbid but it will be better if these sweet lips stop smoking," he whispered before slowly kissing Agatha's lips and hands slowly but surely taking the cigarette out of Agatha's hands.
"What's up, Sunshine?"
"Mother asked for a grandchild."
