Joshua glanced at the woman who had been curled up on his couch with a thick blanket wrapped around his body.
Since the end of dinner Agatha immediately plowed the sofa that had always been her favorite place and also took her thick blanket.
And haven't said anything else.
"So you actually intend to talk to me or not? Otherwise I'd better take you home before I'm accused of kidnapping people's wives."
"I can't stay?"
"You're out of your mind? Or do you want to make me the accused?" joshua was upset and approached Agatha and sat down next to her.
"It's not so."
"Then?"
Agatha looked at Joshua doubtfully as well as fearfully, confused as to how to begin telling stories.
"Joshie, what do you think I should do?"
"What? Say it clearly."
"They want me to have a child soon."
Silent.
A second of silence was long until Joshua finally cleared his throat.
"Then what's the problem? Didn't I tell you that often? I want a nephew."
"******* you man! That's not it!" Agatha punched Joshua in the arm in annoyance.
"Then what do you want me to say? Forbid you have offspring?" Joshua was visibly trying to contain his frustration, "Isn't that natural for every couple?"
Just natural.
Christ and I are not that couple.
"Don't tell me you don't want to get pregnant?" joshua asked doubtfully, there is no way Agatha would think so right?
"I don't know," replied Agatha after a long silence.
Joshua approached and grabbed Agatha's hand which he then held. "Why? Don't tell me you're scared or unprepared?"
Agatha shook her head. "It's not. As you know I'm still— trying to get used to Christ and it's not easy. I just don't want to add to the burden."
I'm sorry, Joshie, for a while this is all I can tell you in spite of the deal.
"Agatha, why do you think this is going to be a burden? For most people the presence of a child can be a factor that will bring closer and strengthen the relationship between partners. Maybe it can happen to you, why not try, you've tried to accept everything so far, right?" Joshua knew it was hard for Agatha but her best friend was willing to try to open her heart, so she had to support right?
"But I can't—"
"Have you asked Christ what he thought of this?"
"We've talked before, he handed it all over to me."
Joshua frowned suddenly dizzy with the obscurity of his best friend's marriage relationship. One is stubborn and one is blind. If left unchecked this will not go well in the end.
"Agatha, do you love him?" simple but difficult question to answer.
"I don't know.maybe I don't hate or feel uncomfortable with his existence like I used to. But I'm not sure it's love."
"What do you think about him, Agatha? He's your husband and you have to love him."
There was no answer coming out from Agatha's lips, the woman was just silent with a dreamy look. If Christ's rethinking had been too good to try and wait for her, was it time for her to give her husband a proper reply?
The thought of the cellphone that had been left lying on the table and pressed a number that in one ring had answered.
"Fetch me at Joshua's apartment, I don't want to be picked up by the driver. See you later," and the call was decided.
Agatha did not know her decision was right or wrong and would be regretted or not. What was clear from the corner of her heart was that she felt that it was time for her to repay Christ's kindness.
While Joshua looked at Agatha gently and smiled, both of his hands reflexively grabbed Agatha's slender body in his arms. Again he was relieved at the decision finally taken by his best friend.
"So you're finally sure?" tanyanya while patting the narrow back of Agatha.
"I don't know but like you said I should try to appreciate his sincerity right?"
"Hmm, yes.I'm happy for you always, Agatha. Always."
"I know, thanks for everything Joshie."

The crowded streets of the clock like now look like a moving background that accompanies the journey of a pair of humans who are carrying the weight of their respective feelings.
And despite trying to look ordinary, Agatha knew her husband had come in a hurry to get there.
"Have you had dinner?" christ's voice broke the silence between them, the man turned to his wife, who had been silent since, looking at the noise of the street from the window.
"When I was with Joshie. You alone?" her reply asked and was answered by a slow-moving trinket from Christ.
"Em.. not because I didn't have time, I have a lot to do, '" the man replied lying. It was obvious that he had been busy with his feelings and the discussion was full of frustration with Leon.
"Then let's have dinner."
"But you've eaten?" christ hesitated.
"Just kutemani. I want to go where you first dragged me to dinner in the early hours."
Christ smiled in light of the incident, it was he who forced his wife to eat despite being rejected at first. It felt like just yesterday he was hunting Agatha by all means pushy, and now the woman was already his wife.
"You sure you want to go there?" her question was reassuring because somehow she suddenly thumped imagining it.
"Sure, let's go there."
And the big smile that appeared on Christ's lips looked so relieving and pleasant. There was a warmth emanating on the man's face that made Agatha involuntarily smile along.
There was a big difference when the two got to that place. Christ used to desperately force Agatha to come, forcing the woman to follow him in annoyance, forcing the woman to eat and now the situation is reversed.
Agatha who invited him to come, Agatha who forced him not to miss his dinner, and the biggest change was Agatha who was now walking beside him by hugging his arm.
Christ was never this happy. It is simple but it always becomes amazing if Agatha is in it.
"Good night Elle" said Christ to the woman behind the counter.
"Christ!! Holy hooch! You—kalian?" the woman looked both happy and surprised as her eyes turned away from Christ and Agatha who was beside her.
"My wife wants to come here so much, I should have invited her to come often, right?" timpal Christ who smiled at the woman who was still surprised.
"You're married?" her question was embraced by Christ as an answer.
"And you didn't tell me this happy news?" her demands were followed by Christ's light laughter.
"I'm sorry Ellena, but our marriage wasn't widely reported."
"Ah, I understand. Then congratulations yes! I'm happy for you guys" he said, then gave a warm hug to both of them.
And after that brief chat, they waited at the table located in the corner of the room near the glass door right facing the side yard overgrown with manicured leaf-filled plants.
"Are you sure you don't want to eat?"
Agatha shook her head, "No need, I've had enough to eat earlier."
"Hm, okay. How was it with Joshua? If I remember you guys haven't spent a long time together apart from work."
Agatha looked straight at Christ's dark bead before nodding, "I also just realized that I missed her apartment."
"The apartment?"
"Yes, I used to be there almost every day after I got away from work. Joshua's apartment is my second home, even Gabriel would know where to look when I'm not home."
Christ smiled, "Yes, I can see you guys are that close."
"I even stayed there a lot and would always come to disturb her when she took her day off," a smile was now drawn on Agatha's lips as her memories returned to her and Joshua's times.
Then he realized that since he got married, his only meeting with Joshua was about work, he was no longer able to catch his best friend as often as he used to because he had to go home with Christ.
"I didn't take the time for him" he murmured softly and felt regret for leaving his best friend out of the blue.
The awaited dish came with a bottle of wine specially prepared by Ellena as a congratulatory gift from her.
Of course it was happily accepted by both of them which was then enjoyed after dinner. Actually there are many things that want to be said one and another but both are hesitant to start the conversation. Again they just sit quietly enjoying the wine and the atmosphere of the night is getting late and this place is getting alive late at night.
"Agatha, there's something I want to tell you," Christ put down his glass and sighed softly before gazing deeply into the brown net of the woman he loved.
The same thing was done by Agatha looking at her husband deeply, "I also want to say something to you."
"I was or you were?" haggard Christ still with a faint smile on his lips.
"May I speak first?" Agatha had to say it immediately before she returned unsure of her decision.
"All right, please."
"I don't know how to start, and I know it's too late but I have to tell you."
Agatha took a long breath for a moment that made the man before her pounding curiously, "Let's try this, being a real married couple," Agatha concluded, pounding and slightly relieved.
While Christ looked at him with widened eyes in disbelief and it seemed like the man was speechless to respond to his wife's remark other than the rapid pounding of his heart, her breath full of stifling and the corner of her eyes were heated by tears.
He didn't hear wrong, did he?
