Agatha Anderson — Threats

...There will always be times when people are faced with difficult choices....

...The real choice is not desirable at all....

Joshua turned back some of the files he had in his hands since. Personal information from Neona Walker she got this morning. There were not many special things but there was a shocking fact that he found there.

Neona Walker is a former fiancee of Christ who was canceled due to a quarrel between them for unclear reasons. She disappeared after the cancellation of her engagement to Christ. The son of an ordinary business family and not a conglomerate like his uncle Gerald. Get a good enough education from elite and prestigious schools. And what makes Joshua interested is the fact that Neona was recorded to get an education at the same campus as Christ at Oxgard University during their status as a fiancee.

Oxgard University's.

And that means Christ's not in Scotland like the information he got. This is almost the same as the information he got from Leon's drunken rapport.

The year shown is the same as the period and Agatha when they were students. Maybe they were in the same university?

Whatisthis?

Why one and the other information does not match. Twice his investigations of Christ yielded the same results that the man received his college education in Scotland. But why is it that Neona's file is said to be the opposite?

This ambiguous fact made him restless and unsettled.  Why did something go wrong with Christ after all this time?

Which of them is the truth? Neona or Christ?

.......

"So how did Josh get the information I asked for?" agatha asked as the two of them were on their way to Gabriel's office.

"Which one?"

"About Neona Walker."

"Oh, already. I'm sorry I haven't told you yet" she said apologizing with a sweet smile on her best friend that made Agatha roll her eyes off guard.

"You've not made me your priority, Josh."

"It's not so Agatha, that sentence is more suitable for you to say to yourself because now you're busy with Christ and forget about me. But I don't care because he's your husband" said Joshua, who received a small fist from Agatha.

"You're still my favorite one Joshie."

"Glad to hear that, Sweetheart," the two then chuckled to enjoy every moment they created.

Joshua deliberately did not tell Agatha and acted as if he had forgotten the information about Neona. He wasn't sure which part to give first. He does not want to make misunderstandings in his best friend's relationship if the information he obtained is not accurate.

"So how?"

Joshua turned to Agatha and gently rubbed the top of her head, "Previously the promise would not be angry and upset at Christ, Okay?"

"What information is it? Why should I be angry with Christ? I don't—" loved her — Agatha stopped her sentence, she forgot the fact that her best friend did not know the real relationship between her and Christ. "I won't be angry" he continued

"Well if you say that. Neona is Christ's ex-fiancee" Joshua continued, staring at his best friend in anticipation of his emotional change.

Agatha remained silent for a while, "Oh, it's appropriate to be intimate with my mother" she said later.

"But do you know why they canceled the engagement? If you look at mom's attitude before this it doesn't seem like it's anything good."

"I just know they canceled it out of incompatibility and quarrel," Joshua replied in the end, he'd better tell Agatha just to this extent. The rest will be after he gets his own information.

"Christ never told you that?"

"No," answered Agatha in short.

Staring at the scene they passed by from outside the window, Agatha was just silent. Yesterday after returning home with her mother, Agatha asked Christ about her meeting with Neona. Christ just said that Neona was a woman who had been close to him and did not say that they had been engaged. And when Agatha asked about her mother's change in attitude towards the woman, Christ only answered that because her mother disliked Neona. That was the only answer she got from her husband. Christ answered with great reluctance.

What's wrong with saying something honest to me?

Does he think I'm going to be angry and jealous?

If he covers it like this doesn't that mean he's hiding something from me?

Unknowingly Agatha exhaled in annoyance.

Joshua who was still focused on driving could only smile a little at the sight of his best friend who was annoyed with jealousy. Not jealous? Especially if the name is not jealous if you hear her husband's past relationship?

Stretching his right hand back to damage the top of his best friend's head with anxiety makes the owner increasingly look upset.

Christ stared impatiently at the door of the room where he was now. He wouldn't want to be in this place if it wasn't for the message Neona sent him this morning.

That's right, the woman sent him a message this morning to meet. Not his desire to obey Neona but the woman has a threat that can always make Christ forced to obey.

Ten minutes of waiting that made Christ lose his patience until finally the door shifted open displaying the figure of a short-haired woman who stepped lightly towards him.

"I didn't expect you to actually come, Christ," the woman smilingly reached out her hand at Christ intending to hug but was rejected by Christ.

"Don't fuck around, Neona."

"Uh, you're getting colder. Shouldn't you be warmer with me because after deciding on me you've now managed to get your obsession to marry that woman?" neona said in a loud tone as if mocking.

"Don't talk nonsense. Agatha's not an obsession for me, Neona."

"Oh yeah? Ten years of time you spent chasing after her isn't that called obsession?"

Christ did not answer only the look on his face turned cold with a locked look on the woman before him.

"Did your wife know about it? That you've loved her for ten years to the point of sacrificing someone's life."

"Stop saying, Neona!" christ said in a loud voice but did not make the woman in front of him afraid.

"Seeing from your reaction it seems like the woman doesn't know huh? Besides, how could she possibly want to marry the man who killed—"

"STOP IT!"

Christ shouted even his hands reflexively wrapped around the woman's neck and made Neona retreat a few steps. But again Neona did not seem afraid with Christ's hand strangling her neck, instead the woman laughed a little.

"You're really crazy, Christ? But strangely enough I like you even more."

Christ refrained from sticking his fingers around Neona's neck and made the woman stop talking. His breathing was already hunting even though he was trying to remain calm.

"Don't ever mention it again, Neona. I warned you!" he nodded with a look like he wanted to kill.

"Why? You're afraid your beloved wife knows?"

Neona laughed lightly while her hand tried to release Christ's grip on her neck. For him the figure of Christ with uncontrollable emotions was common.

"SILENCE."

Christ drew his head closer and whispered right in the woman's ear, "I warn Neona. If Agatha or anyone else finds out then I'll kill you."

"I kept this secret for you but it dumped me instead. Is it still obligatory for me to look after it for you again? And do you think that after you've shown me, my life has gotten better, Christ? You're breaking me, Christ."

"Tell me what you want, Neona. I'm sure you're threatening me with that fact to get something," exasperated Christ, whose head is dizzy from holding back emotions.

Neona smiled with great pleasure, she knew Christ would not be able to hurt her more than this. The woman brought her face closer to Christ until her lips were a few inches away from the man's.

"What if I make a deal?" her whisper just before her lips lightly swept over belonged to the man who was just silent with tightly clenched hands holding back in order not to push Neona and injure the woman.
