Agatha Anderson — Chain Binder The Sinner

..."Of all the things I felt but never really seen. Perhaps the worst is that I ever let you go. I should not ever let you go." ...

"Christ?" rau Agatha's voice as she realized the soft caress on her head from the figure before her.

"You're home yet?"

Christ smiled softly, "Yes, I'm home, '" he replied slowly as the tightness in his chest was still felt.

He saw the beautiful face of his wife, "You've been waiting for me? Sorry."

"Where have you been, why didn't you answer my calls and messages?" agatha asked with eyes that were still half closed due to drowsiness.

"I'm sorry, I fell asleep in my mother's house" replied Christ who then sat next to Agatha.

"What's wrong? You didn't tell me before," Agatha got up from her position and sat down next to Christ.

"There's nothing, there's just something I need to talk to Arthur about but it turns out I fell asleep because I was too tired. Sorry for worrying you."

Agatha was stunned, it was not usual for Christ to be this gentle even Agatha felt that something was different from her husband's attitude.

Indeed Christ had always treated her well all this time but her attitude had teased her more often than fully tenderly this way. Even today all the sentences of the man are full of the word 'Sorry' which in the days usually more often chimed in with confident rhetorical questions.

And again there was something different about that man's smile.

Agatha could feel it but she did not want to ask, because if Christ did not say anything it meant that the man did not want to share it with her and Agatha respected it.

Both of them were silent for quite a while, equally diving in each other's minds. Not wanting to express what they feel. There are doubts and there are beliefs but mingling abstracts is not clearly borderline.

"You're not ready? Can I take you to the office?" christ asked with a faint smile.

"You're not going to the office?" ask Agatha back.

"It looks like I'm going to take a break today, after all there's no important schedule today. Maybe I can do some things from home" explained Christ.

He could not go anywhere with this feeling. He would only get more chaotic if he forced himself.

"Then get some rest, I'll leave with the driver later," Agatha smiled faintly before one hand extended to Christ inviting her husband to rest more comfortably in their room.

Agatha had just entered her office lobby when a soft and sweet voice greeted her hearing.

"Miss Agatha."

The call made her turn her head and found Neona smiling at her from behind.

"It's nice to meet you, Miss Agatha" said the woman, still smiling.

"Ah, you're Miss Walker, right?" reply Agatha asked, she remembered the woman she knew as Christ's former fiancee.

"Just call me Neona, there's no need to be so formal."

"But I'm not used to speaking informally to strangers, sorry," Agatha replied bluntly.

"What are you here for? What's the need?"

Neona smiled wryly at Agatha's reply but before long the smile again looked as sweet as before.

"It's okay, you'll get used to it later," he replied, "I don't have anything important actually, I came to invite you to lunch in person because before our meeting was not very good."

Agatha looked at the woman with that overly sweet smile with her flat gaze. He did not know why this woman seemed to be trying to get close to him from the beginning of their meeting.

"I'm sorry, I can't. I have a lot of work to do today" replied Agatha refused because she could not just change her schedule all of a sudden, Joshua could be mad at her all day.

Neona looked sour at Agatha's reply, but she had lowered her pride to take this woman to lunch together.

"You are very busy. It seems you can't be found carelessly yes," said Neona disappointed and then smiled back before turning around, "Then I'm sorry."

Agatha just silently looked at Neona who was stepping away.

"Miss Walker?" her calling made Neona look over.

"Maybe we can have lunch next time. I'll call you later" Agatha said, which stunned Neona.

"Sure, I'll look forward to it" replied Neona who then smiled and passed away.

Two women walking in different directions.

Agatha never agreed to an invitation or invitation from her relationship outside of a formal schedule. But maybe it can be tried this time because he also wants to know the past of Christ of this woman.

While Neona who from the beginning approached Agatha with a certain purpose was happy because finally the woman opened her way a little closer. He had already sacrificed his pride just to get close to an Agatha he hated.

'What's up? I have to go to RedSky after this but I'm still waiting for the documents from Carren.'

"Did the review there begin?"

'Yes, it'll be in three days.'

"Josh..."

'What's up, Agatha?'

"Hm? It's okay, later if you're not busy. It's not something that matters" he replied slowly because there was actually something troubling in his mind that he wanted to share with Joshua.

'... The agatha? Are you sure it's okay?'

"Hm? Yeah I'm fine. Hurry up there work or I'll reduce the digit number for your salary later," he said then laughed lightly.

'Okey Boss, I'll do my best, ' Joshua replied with a laugh.

After turning off her cell phone connection Agatha let out a long sigh. He did not want to bother Joshua who was busy. For some reason lately there is a little heavy feeling in his heart that he wants to share with his best friend.

Maybe later that Joshua is back.

Christ was in his study scanning some reports from Leon when his phone rang.

From Neona.

With great reluctance the call was answered.

"What else is it?"

'Should you answer my call that soon? I think I know why you and Agatha could get married, because you have similarities. You know what that is?' ask Neona with the sarcasm.

Christ was silent and had no intention of responding to anything Neona did.

'You two are both assholes.'

"Neona watch your words!"

'Why should I? You better teach your wife to keep her talking. Does she think she's the only perfect woman?'

"Stop talking nonsense and say what you want" said Christ who could not bear to linger with Neona.

'Look, even you guys are equally haughty.'

Christ sighed impatiently, "Close if you have no interest."

'Hey Christ, who said you could do it?' talk about the woman quickly.

'All right, I want you to pick me up for lunch.'

"Don't be crazy, Neona! I've married. I can't just pick up another woman."

'And I don't care. Look Christ, I've been kind enough to invite your wife to lunch together but she refused.'

"You! Whatchu mean? Neona told me not to dare you approach Agatha!"

'I just invited him to lunch. What else is there besides that?' there was a laugh from Neona's lips that made Christ feel like throwing his phone.

"I'm warning you not to mess with Neona."

'You're always so bad thinking about me, Christ. After all these years I have to keep your crime, ' said the woman sharply.

Christ clenched his hands tightly trying to keep his emotions from being provoked by Neona.

'So how was my request? Yes or no? Shouldn't you just agree to replace your wife who rejected me?'

Closing his eyes in frustration with his left hand on his forehead, Christ did not answer anything. Neona and Agatha were not allowed to meet except in matters of work.

"alright. I'll pick you up."

'How nice! I will wait for you!' after saying it Neona hung up the phone.

Christ felt tremendous pressure after he woke up from his worst nightmare. She had not expected her deal to fulfill Neona's wish would take her on such burdened days as this.

He thought he had made it through the dark times and had nothing to worry about. But his dream last night was enough to make him realize that even though it was hidden but the chain of sin still tied him tightly.

And today his intention to rest ended with the thing that made his head full of burdens.
