Agatha Anderson — Apologies and Fear

...For perhaps in the arid field of an emotion-filled heart....

...One word of apology can be a drop of water or even incarnate oases that treat pain due to the dryness of the liver....

Christ ran into the hotel with a private restaurant attached to him. He didn't want to do it, really.

It was still early in the morning but he was already feeling so tired with this situation.

Early this morning Neona sent her this address. And of course the woman asked him to come. Initially Christ wanted to ignore but the last sentence of Neona's message made him want to not obey the woman's wishes again.

Adjusting her breath and tidying up her suit, Christ stepped into the restaurant. No one but the officers on duty.

Damn, that woman will definitely make me wait again.

Upset then Christ sat down at the place that had been prepared. He even had to lie and leave Agatha because of this but Neona kept him waiting.

Actually lately Christ avoids meeting Agatha. Since having a nightmare some time before Christ felt that guilt back again.

Feeling far away from Agatha and that's why she felt so missed Agatha.

"You're coming fast this time, Babe."

Neona walked up to him casually.

"Neona, just tell me what you want and I'll give it to you. Don't disturb my life and Agatha."

"My mother?" Neona took a seat and glanced at the man before her at a glance with a smile on the corner of her lips.

"Come on Christ, why is your face so tense?"

"Explain what your message meant" Christ sighed, "You yourself said you were devastated by the situation. Then why did you extend everything? You should forget this and move on with your life. Not bothering me like this."

"Forget it? It's easy for you to say that. You're the main character in that dark past. I was just unlucky to see her," Neona looked at Christ with a gaze that was now filled with emotion.

"You asked me what I wanted, right? I want to go back to how I used to be! Before I became a sinner because of you!"

Christ just silently listened to the emotion of the woman before him. Neona is in this story. As she recalled, she never even apologized or said anything nice to Neona other than yelling and blaming Neona back then for covering up her own guilt.

Is correct.

He should have apologized to Neona.

Christ raised his face and looked at Neona, this time the look in those eyes turned softer.

"Neon. I'm sorry."

Waving her eyes twice Neona confirmed that the man before her was not speaking wrongly.

"What did you just say?"

"I'm sorry. I should have said this many years ago to you," for some reason so uttered it there was a foreign feeling that flowed within him and gave him the strength to speak.

"I'm sorry for all the bad things that happened to you. Sorry because of me you also have to experience and bear difficulties. Sorry for my never-good attitude towards you. I should have understood that even then you were scared, I should have made you calm, too" said Christ regretfully.

Smiling gently Christ looked at Neona who was now staring at him with a face full of tears. The woman no longer held back her emotional overflow, leaving behind a sense that had settled down for years that had broken down in the crystalline spheres from her eyes.

"I'm sorry, Neona."

And in every apology that Christ said, Neona's heart felt squeezed and the tightness in her heart was broken in a circle of clear crystals at the end of her eyes.

"... Why is it now?" parau Neona, "You're the worst person I've ever met Christ..."

And Neona's voice muffled as Christ suddenly stood up and pulled her in an embrace. Patting slowly Neona's shoulder which actually even more sobbing.

Again time solves everything when humans are willing to try to understand every meaning of events that come in their lives. And become an adult in his understanding.

Christ, with all his selfishness in the past, now realizes that in his story there are many people who are injured. And maybe some of it will be cured.

"You can hate me and not apologize to me. But I humbly apologize sincerely to you."

"Why should I cry because of your words, it sucks" he said, wiping away the rest of his tears.

"But Christ, your apology isn't enough."

Neona then moved from her seat, "And I asked you to come with breakfast. But you messed up my morning with all these shitty tears."

Neona turned around to step away leaving Christ still silent in his place.

"I think you should get Christ ready. Retaliation for you will come soon. I told your wife."

"Neona–"

"I'm sure your wife is not easily incited and consumed by my words. But sooner or later I think he'll keep asking you questions, so you better prepare yourself," Neona recalled from the door, the corner of her lips lifted up giving a haughty impression that had disappeared a while ago.

"See you later, Christ."

Gabriel was now sitting anxiously behind the wheel. He's been in Joshua's apartment parking lot since 15 minutes ago.

But he was not ready to go up and meet his best friend.

Somehow imagining the bad things Joshua could do made him feel nervous. But he could no longer escape.

With full reluctance Gabriel forced his foot down and got out of his car. Take a deep breath before exhaling slowly, then step heavily towards his friend's unit.

He had already thought of an answer but he wasn't sure if he could defend his reason before Joshua later.

Arriving on the 7th floor his feet still felt heavy to step up until the vibration on his phone left him shocked.

From Joshua.

"H-hey, what's up?" nervous answer.

'You're coming? I've been waiting for you for a long time, it's almost lunchtime, ' Joshua picked up across the street.

"Ah, I've arrived. Wait another 5 minutes," he replied, immediately closing the connection and starting to step.

And right, it wasn't until 5 minutes that Gabriel was standing at the door. He pressed the bell twice, and before long Joshua stood before him.

"Why long?" joshua asked astonishedly then walked in letting Gabriel follow him.

"I brought you lunch" replied Gabriel, who then turned to the kitchen to put his luggage and arrange it into the container.

He tried to stall for Joshua not to speak seriously to him directly.

"Gab, put that down later. I'll help you later" said Joshua from the living room.

"It's okay, I'll prepare. You're tired, aren't you? Just take a break."

"It's up to you" Joshua replied.

Breathing a sigh of relief Gabriel moved slowly and occasionally glanced at his best friend. It feels uncomfortable to have to behave like this but what can I do.

Just as Gabriel was feeling a little relieved, he was startled by Joshua's voice suddenly.

"Gabriel, do you know Christopher's past?"

And Gabriel felt the time had come to face reality.

Sooner or later.
