...I should have known that the world was never on my side....

Agatha walked back towards her room with trembling steps and stopped in front of the door. Staring at the man who was now awake from his sleep with half leaning on the headboard, smiling with relief staring at him.
"Morning Sunshine, where are you from? I'm looking for you" he said in a raspy voice typical of people waking up.
Agatha was still unmoved in front of the door staring at her husband with a completely different gaze from a few hours before.
"Sunshine, what's wrong?" realizing something was different from his wife's expression, Christ grabbed his sleeping robe, and walked over to Agatha.
When their distance was three steps adrift Agatha actually stepped back, and it made Christ frown in wonder.
"Sunshine, what's wrong? Did something happen to you?"
"Stop there" said Agatha with a cold intonation that even Christ had never heard of.
"Sunshine.. Did I make a mistake, did I hurt you?"
Agatha dropped the photo sheet she had been holding onto the floor in front of Christ. Seeing that Christ was getting more confused but in the next second he felt his heart slump to the floor together as his eyes caught the portrait he had been hiding.
Portrait of a group of young men in front of the stone steps and some portraits of the beautiful woman now in front of him.
"Agatha—ini"
Christ never expected Agatha would find the photos. He never showed it to anyone and it should be in his study drawer. Why did Agatha get there?
But it doesn't matter now, the most important part of it right now is how does he explain the existence of past photos as well as the scribbles of sentences he always wrote on those photos?
"Agatha, I can explain—"
"So what that woman said is true?" parau Agatha was still with her cold voice.
"Woman — who?"
"Your ex-fiancee."
"Neona? W-what did he tell you?" frantic Christ who stepped forward but Agatha just getting away.
"It doesn't matter what he says. Didn't all this explain everything?"
Agatha closed her eyes trying to endure the pain and tightness that was in her heart because there was one thing that plagued her mind right now.
His right hand that had been behind his body was now stretched out to the front with a photo in his hand.
"Explain why you wrote this."
No matter how hard he tried, in the end his voice sounded trembling.
Christ fell silent without being able to give an answer.
It's a photo of Mikael.
The one he had gotten when he investigated the young man's closeness to Agatha. But what makes it worse is the scrawl of the sentence in the photo.
'What makes you so special that a cripple like you dares to approach my Agatha?'
'I will definitely get rid of you. And makes you no longer able to be with Agatha.'
It felt like Christ wanted to shout and explain to the woman who was looking at him with that disappointment and disbelief. But his voice could not come out even his lips felt faint.
"You. Have you known me for a long time?" tanyanya.
Christ was silent.
"Jawab if I ask."
Christ closed his eyes unable to look at his wife and could only nod in response to Agatha's question.
Agatha laughed sarcastically, "You really are something Christopher Winston. So you've been lying to me all this time?"
"It's not like Agatha, I don't intend to lie to you. Never—"
"So you know Mikael? Describe the. Why did you write that uncivilized sentence on the picture."
"Agatha, I don't mean anything. It was just a stupid emotion when I was young. No more," he explained with a look to ask that the woman would listen to his explanation.
"What other lies are you hiding from me? You know Christ, I've been trying to put my trust in you after all your efforts on me. But it turns out that it's all just pretend?"
Agatha wiped away the crystal feathers that slid down from the corner of her eyes. She did not cry hysterically but her heart felt quite angry and sick.
"Agatha, I can explain. Listen to me first, huh?" Christ stepped up and stretched out his hand but Agatha retreated even more.
"No. This explains everything enough. Stay away from me Christopher Winston."
Agatha turned on the phone in her hand, pressing the call on a contact.
"Joshie, get me now."
'Agatha? What's up?'
"Fetch me now. NOW!"
Turning off her phone quickly, Agatha walked towards her room past Christ then locked the door. Change his nightgown with clothes and then come out.
"Agatha—wait, don't go!" prevent it as Agatha rushed towards the door.
Christ ran to his room and changed his pajamas quickly before running after Agatha who had already climbed the elevator downstairs.
He couldn't let Agatha go like this. Head hurts. Only one lie was revealed but Agatha was this angry. What if Agatha knew one more fact that she had already killed Mikael?
As soon as the elevator doors opened, Christ ran down the lobby looking for Agatha's whereabouts. He saw his wife was in front waiting for Joshua with a chaotic look. His steps approached.
"Agatha. Don't go, let's talk about this first. Listen to my explanation, please."
There was pain and pain in Christ's heart when he heard his name spoken so strangely from Agatha's lips. The same lips said his name lovingly a few hours ago.
Everything changes in a fast time. His mistake.
"What are you doing outside?"
The sweet voice that flowed was familiar to make the two people turn their heads. Neona was walking towards them with a smile on her lips.
Christ almost cursed if only his heart did not feel sore at this time. While Agatha just stared coldly at the woman before her.
"Good morning Miss Agatha," her friendly reply did not care for Christ's pleading gaze and warned her.
"Neona, this is not the right time. You better get out of here" said Christ. He doesn't want Neona to complicate things right now.
"Why are you acting like that, Christ? Though I came to invite the two of you over for breakfast," Neona replied calmly.
"It's not a good time, go Neona."
Ignoring the two people before her, Agatha restlessly waited for Joshua to arrive and stopped her car in front of them.
"Agatha! What's up?" greet the man who hurriedly came down.
Either it was just Agatha's feeling or it was true that Joshua looked coldly at Christ before standing beside her and pulling her protective in his arms.
"Joshio..." Agatha hugged her best friend tightly without caring for Christ who was staring hurtly.
"It's okay, I'm here Agatha."
"Agatha, listen to me first—"
"Don't you dare, Christopher Winston," Joshua said.
"I'm her husband if you forget, Joshua Sanders. Let me talk to my wife" Christ replied, not giving in. This time he can't lose Agatha anymore.
Joshua silenced. He is not entitled. Christ was Agatha's husband yet she wouldn't care about that status if it came to Agatha's happiness.
"Take me away from here, Joshie."
"Agatha, please—"
Christ restrained Agatha's arm, while the woman brushed him off.
"It looks like you're in a bad situation. Yes, it will be whenever it turns out that the existence of Joshua Sanders will never be replaced in the life of an Agatha," said Neona interrupting tensions between them.
Christ now stared intently at Neona as if ready to pounce.
"What's? Isn't that right?" neona replied to Christ's gaze, and the woman did not look afraid at all despite seeing the burning anger in Christ's eyes.
"Past or present, an Agatha and Joshua Sanders were inseparable. I think your move was wrong from the start, Christ. You should've gotten rid of Mr. Sanders instead of the mute one back then."
"NEON!"
The sound of screaming sounded shocking even to the two companions who were now staring at Neona in surprise.
"What do you mean Miss Walker?" ask Agatha. He didn't misunderstand Neona's sentence right?
"Don't I tell you, Miss Anderson. That Christ fell in love with you all those years ago? Have you asked him that?"
"NEONA'S QUIET!"
"Why Christ? You should be honest with your wife, right?" scorned Neona, the woman smiled wryly mockingly.
"If you already know it then you should also know what he did to your lover the speaker right?"
Christ who no longer controls his emotions steps forward to stop Neona but Joshua first holds her back.
"Take me off!" his jolt.
"Not until he's done talking."
Neona laughed, "It's funny. You don't even know anything," Neona's gaze now turned to focus on Agatha.
"You know what's funny here, Miss Agatha? The man who is now your husband is the one who killed your lover. He's the one who pushed your lover into the lake that night."
"NEONA!!!" Christ rebelled trying to break free from Joshua's grip but the man held it firmly as if knowing Christ was going to attack Neona.
Agatha felt the world under her feet tumble over and collapse. The woman fell in her place with an empty look.
What did he just hear?
It can't be... Wh-what?
His heart was beating so fast. His head was dizzy and his hearing seemed to ring.
"Agatha, don't trust him! Listen to me—"
"You can trust me, Miss Agatha. Where do you think I know the details of that incident? I was the only witness who saw your lover fall into the lake after being pushed by her" Neona's final reassured Agatha.
"No! It's not! Agatha—"
PLAQUE!!!!
One loud slap sounded echoing making Christ speechless.
In front of her, Agatha was now standing with a gaze full of anger, fear, disappointment and hurt. Christ was no longer able to speak.
It wasn't Agatha's slap that hurt him. But Agatha's hateful gaze at him was already able to make her destroy him.
