Arafura S1 - Darker Than Black
S1 | Chapter I 4 White Castle II | Blood Heats

The room is bright with electric lights installed in every corner of the room. Red cloth hung up along the hallway of the white wall. Many scattered guards stood up steadfastly without hesitation. They had sharp eyes with long swords that could easily slash a human's neck. The guards wore red clothes like blood—more precisely robes, a special outfit that he said was anti fire—the clothes look more gallant but like excessive if not worn by the elite. Each of the guards' faces looked flat, they were more or less like puppets who would obey the ruler's orders.

The long swords shot up into the air as soon as Lord Gen and Mr. Rom stepped on the long red carpet. They begin to straighten their shoulders while facing straight eyes without blinking. "Welcome back, Mr. Rom!" Said a guard greeting respectfully, he looks like the captain of the guards. Mr. Rom just nodded and left a smile as a sign of respect.

Mr. Rom asked the guard. "We're going to have a sudden meeting. Are all my men inside?"

The guard replied, "Yes, sir. All are waiting for your presence."

"Good work—" said Mr. Rom pleased, "—you can rest. Prepare for future missions."

"Ready, Sir! Please leave!"

The guard then left his place. Mr. Gen and Mr. Rom immediately entered a main door that would pierce through a meeting room. The golden-handled door was pushed by the hand of a servant in white clothes making the entire room inside clearly visible. Two people were sitting quietly with dozens of candles burning before them. I don't know what it means, but from the look they display as if they are anxious about something. The two men instantly stood respectfully as soon as Mr. Rom was caught within their sight. "We've been waiting for you, Mr. Rom." Say one of them.

Someone spoke while looking at the sheet of paper. "Mr Rom, we just got into some trouble. You should read these letters immediately." The letter was given to Mr. Rom. Mr. Rom accepted but did not want to discuss it.

All eyes began to turn to Mr. Gen. They just realized behind Mr. Rom there was a man with blue hair and red eyes—Master Gen who looked like a vampire man. Mr. Rom realized the confusion. "I invite him—" said Mr. Rom as he pointed to Mr. Gen, "—he is a ruler like me, you must call him Mr. Gen. He will cooperate under one government of fire gakuin."

A black-haired and calm-eyed man smiled at Mr. Gen. "Greetings from me, Mr. Gen. My name is Anggo." The man bowed his body in a sign of respect. At first glance looked at by Mr. Gen, it felt like Anggo was nothing more than a cunning man. He did look friendly with thousands of warmth from his smile, but it was precisely that which became one of the things that was very suspicious—at least Mr. Gen thought so.

Next to him was a white-haired man. His face seemed unhappy with Mr. Gen's whereabouts. "My name is Ziyo." Red eyes are like blood. His view was like he did not want to return Mr. Gen's view. He seems to be the most loyal man than the others. A man like Ziyo looks like a reckless man but never lies over his surroundings. But, however, this man named Ziyo did not expect the existence of Mr. Gen so it was possible that he would do something beyond reason. It's ridiculous when it really happens.

Mr. Rom is confused. "By the way, Ziyo, where is Aio?" Ask while glancing around.

Ziyo replied casually. "She—I don't know."

Aio is a man of medium stature, yellow eyes, and dark brown hair—so explained Mr. Rom. Only this time did Mr. Gen see a bad man in his eyes, like Mr. Rom, desperately need the existence of his subordinates.

Suddenly from the corner of the room, the large white door opened as if it was being broken down. A man who had been asked about his existence by Mr. Rom immediately came with a tired look flooded with sweat. His breathing was very fast as if he was running out of oxygen. With a slight bow, he glanced at Mr. Rom, "Sorry Mr. Rom. I brought some amazing news!"

Mr. Rom approached him. "Aio's? Where have you been?"

"Air Gakuinia—I have sent my subordinates to observe the movements of the girls. Apparently they—sial!"

Instantly a black-haired man with a white mask on his face came. "Calm Aio!" He sounded very upset from his tone. He then took off the mask and displayed a very sour face. His eyes look thin and give off a strange aura. "—try to sit down. Let's talk calmly. How's Mr Rom?"

Mr. Rom nodded his head. "Yes, that's good. Let's discuss the matter with Mr. Gen."

"Mr Gen?"

Mr. Gen assented. "Yes, why?"

"Then, do you know any information about Air Gakuinia?"

Too bad. Mr. Gen has not sent anyone to carry out any mission to his subordinates. Therefore, there was not a word that could be said to answer his question. It is free to lie, such a thing is just a sign of inadequacy. Mr. Gen just immediately replied honestly as is with a relaxed voice. "I don't know anything yet. There's not a single mission I've given you." However, that answer was instead met with great regret. The man named Aio grabbed the collar of Mr. Gen's clothes until Mr. Gen's eyes were filled with oppressive looks.

"How useless are you! Why is a man like you appointed to lead!" He shouted with annoyance. However, Mr. Gen only fell silent with clenched hands. Mr. Gen's breathing speed begins to peak but can be immediately restrained so as not to split.

Seeing the behavior of his subordinates, Mr. Rom immediately hit Aio so hard that he fell to the floor. "Fuck you! Why are you making the mood worse! Didn't I say we discussed together?!"

Aio's gaze never subsided from the bad aura. He still looked cynically at the whereabouts of Mr. Gen. Feeling humiliated, he showed the fangs of annoyance to Mr. Gen then ran away leaving the room. Truly like a child, his body did indeed look mature but his attitude was so bad like trash. It usually only makes things worse simply because of its own selfishness. Mr. Rom certainly hates that, but he says Aio is a genius. Even though she behaved differently from the others, a little selfish like a child, she always did everything to ease my problems—at least that's what Mr. Rom explained. Admittedly, this time Mr. Rom is not too bad, apparently he also loves and really recognizes the advantages and disadvantages of his subordinates— attitudes that actually exist in a good leader. Mr. Rom directly ordered Shin—lelaki who was originally wearing a mask and had kidnapped Mr. Gen politely—agar accompany Aio right now. "He must be alone somewhere. Tell him I don't hate him, just please understand me."

Shin, the thin-eyed man lowered his body in a sign of respect. "good. I'll do it, Mr. Rom." He then went out of the room leaving four people still standing in silence—Master Gen, Mr. Rom, Anggo, and Ziyo.
