20. Commencing Battle

Dimas leaned his back against the large tree behind him, several times he looked to make sure that the men were no longer chasing him. His breathing was stingy, his energy was running out of use for running earlier.

Elsewhere, in a dark room illuminated only by large candles in the center of the room, a circle and a star in the middle, there were six people who had prepared to do what they had planned before, suddenly someone came from the door in a hurry, he immediately whispered something to one of the six people. Daniel has run as hard as he can so he can quickly get to this place to convey the information he can on the death of three new members after the fight against Danu.

"He's back, and has killed some of our new members."

Five people who were preparing for the ritual were forced to stop their activities.

"We really need to make sure we're dead."

They had made up their minds, the hunt for Danu was immediately carried out. Some of them have now been equipped with firearms, proving that currently Danu must indeed die.

"Go ahead and kill him."

Without a double order, they disperse and spread out in all directions to confirm Danu's whereabouts and kill him.

From the exit of the old building in the forest it appeared some of them were on guard, some new guards to replace the positions of the members who had been killed by Danu.

In another room, Anita was confined with Aini in a room that was only illuminated by a bright light. Anita has just awakened from the influence of the anesthetic that made her faint, but Anita can see Aini sitting leaning against one of the dark walls of the room, unaware of her best friend who began to try to get up to sit. Anita was surprised, Aini still did not react when she began to bring her position closer and left only a short distance.

"Miss."

Anita tries to resuscitate Aini who may be her mind is empty so that she does not realize its existence, but she does not react. Anita still tried, this time she slightly shook her body, and Aini moved from her previous position even until she was lying on the floor with the same eyes, staring blankly without any visible sign of life at him.

Anita is shocked to see her best friend fall helpless. Anita tried to check Aini's pulse and breath, but it turned out that Aini was not like the one in Anita's shadow, he was still breathing and his pulse was normal, but he still did not react to anything when Anita several times tried to resuscitate him in various ways, even including slapping him, but the result was still the same, there was no change whatsoever to him, no change whatsoever, he was still unconscious but with open eyes and a blank look. Anita forgets that one of her female friends is not with them, she is locked up separately and gets different treatment as one of the requests for a deal that has been made.

Anita hugged Aini with fear and worry, worried that something bad happened to her seeing the strange condition of her best friend.

"Ni, loe why? Plis don't make the cave afraid."

In the thick jungle, Arda and Daniel explore the surrounding area where Daniel previously witnessed Danu kill two new members so easily, with just one attack. The blood is still not fully dried, traces of horror and cruelty Danu is still there, passing to the two bodies lying there the evidence can be clearly seen that never underestimate Danu as before.

"Loe's sure that you saw that was actually Danu? Or maybe you saw it wrong? And it was actually Dimas who did this."

"Gua believes Ar, if an ordinary person, there is no way he can kill people quickly can be that easy."

What Daniel said was in accordance with what he saw, the evidence of Danu's cruelty made Arda and Daniel's guts shrink a little, but they had gone too far and sacrificed everything, even from far away Arda has investigated Aini's whereabouts to the point of having to set up a plan to make it seem as if they met accidentally at a party. At first the plan succeeds in making it so close to Aini, but Danu's return carries a major threat to their plans.

"We're back."

Arda invites Daniel to leave the place immediately, a hunch Arda says that there is a great danger that is targeting them from the darkness, but their steps came to a halt when at first glance they heard a stifled cry from a place not far from them. Arda and Dimas vigilantly hid themselves in the bushes not far from there while searching for the source of the previous screams.

Not far from the two of them, about ten meters away from where they were hiding, a little bit of bush was seen swaying before finally a moment later stopped slowly. Arda and Dimas vigilantly approached the place, a dagger clasped in their hands, slowly approaching until they finally found the swaying cause of the bush they were heading to. There was blood splattered on the tree trunk and leaves in the bushes below which two new bodies were found with deep wounds that slit the neck almost to be cut off. Seeing the condition of their members die horribly, they Arda and Daniel began to understand the reason they heard the restrained scream, it was all because they were being scratched by Danu.

With quick steps but still hiding themselves so as not to meet with the ferocity of a Danu, Arda and Daniel rushed back to the ritual place, they feel that with more members they can protect or even fight against Danu.

Danu again grinned revealing rows of yellow teeth and a dagger covered in fresh red blood from the previous victims. When his prey reappeared, he was very happy to imagine the expression of the victim's painful face when he died.

Feeling that what appeared before him was a threat, then they were automatically on guard. Daggers with the same length and shape and sharpness each had come out of the sheath, preparing to draw until bathed in blood, only maybe they would be able to do it or not.

Danu was still speechless, his eyes watching and predicting what his prey would do. Without wasting any time, Danu lunged at the two who were not yet fully prepared with self-defense, and the result was that they died instantly but this time in a different way.

"Fortunately we don't meet him, if we meet him, surely we won't be able to get away with it."

What they both planned seemed to work and proved to be able to save both of their lives.
