8. Gathering

Dimas and Vika drove towards Anita's residence, they worried about Aini's state of shock with what happened today.

"May they see it wrong." in the car Dimas was driving, Vika was so worried about Aini's state. He did not know much about the man and what he had done to Aini, but from what Anita told him, it must have done something that made him so scared and traumatized.

"Yes, hopefully, five years since the events in the foggy forest, that person should have died." Yeah, everyone expected Danu to die even nature had tried to eliminate him, but there's a secret they can't figure out why Danu is still given the chance to breathe the fresh air in this world.

There was a knock on the door of Anita's house after the car stopped right in front of her house.

Anita rushed to open the door. He guessed that the ones coming in front were Dimas and Vika, and sure enough, the two companions had been standing at the door restlessly.

"Dim, Vi." Anita shakes hands with Dimas and then hugs Vika.

"Where's Aini?" Vika impatiently wants to know the circumstances and whereabouts of Aini, she is worried that something bad happened to her.

"He's in the room." Anita takes Dimas and Vika to her room. In Anita's room, Aini is seen sitting on a chair from Anita's study table. He looked at the window with a blank look. Slowly Vika and Dimas approached Aini.

"Miss." Vika called out to him gently so as not to shock him. Aini turned her head and smiled, a bitter smile that did not match her heart. Vika hugged Aini from behind, her heart grew saddened to see the current state of Aini.

Dimas walked away from the three of them, then he took out a cell phone from his pocket to contact someone.

"Hello." The voice of the person on the other end of the phone was familiar to his ears.

"Lo's at Anita's house now, bro, things aren't good anymore." Dimas asked or rather told one of their friends to come quickly to Anita's house.

"Ok, cave over there." Without hesitation, Daniel agreed and will come soon. After finishing contacting Daniel, Dimas also sent a message to someone, he was sure, more people who protect Aini, then his safety would be more guaranteed.

Half an hour later, Daniel had come, but he was not alone, he was with a man who was none other than Arda. The two of them came almost simultaneously with their respective vehicles.

"Lock bro." Dimas let them both in.

"What's the matter, Dim?" Arda, who does not yet know the problem, is confused by what really happened.

"So gini bro..." Arda explained to the two of them about the current situation. Daniel, who knew about Danu's cruelty, wasn't so surprised. While Arda, he was tense knowing the past of his girlfriend was so dark, and he thought the events of that time could have been repeated at this time.

"Sial, it turns out his past was really dark, just that he was covered rich." Arda nodded with a sharp look. Inwardly, he was determined to protect Aini.

"The cave's gonna help, Dim." Arda convinces Dimas and Daniel that he will help them protect Aini.

"Ok, we're here tonight." All agree with Dimas' proposal, they will jointly guard Aini.

As the night wore on, Arda, Dimas and Daniel had not closed their eyes. While Aini, Anita and Vika have fallen asleep in Anita's room. The three of them alternately went around Anita's house which on that night Anita's parents were not in her house.

"Dim, actually why can Aini be in the same direction as that person?" Arda who was curious about the past story Aini tried to find the information from Dimas more clearly.

"Gua doesn't know that much either, the only person who knows about it right now is Anita." Dimas sat leaning against the wall of the living room while enjoying his coffee that had been cold and did not feel good, his eyes glazed over trying to remember the events in the foggy forest, where he and the person who was after Aini met.

"So he almost killed Aini twice?" Arda was shocked, because it turned out that Aini was so terrible.

"Yes, even in that forest, one of the cave companions died." Daniel completes the story of their tragedy during the college holidays.

"So he killed one of you?" Arda is increasingly curious about the bad experience that his best friend had experienced.

"Yes, it's not really him, but rather because of him."

After that, there was no more chatter between the three of them, all silent with their own thoughts. The atmosphere that is getting late to the morning is getting quieter. Slowly the cold of the night began to seep into their bones, hypnotizing their consciousness which was getting less and less, until finally...

"Quickly inform everything, we're moving." Some people in all-black suits have held important meetings in an empty building former factory that has not been maintained. Intentionally they choose a building that has been unused to discuss important issues, so that the secret information they bring is not the least leaked. They got out of the building one by one and then went in all directions in their own vehicles.

"Your problems are over, it's my turn." Highlighting his sharp eyes and vengeful and ambitious, behind his wheel he had devised a plan to destroy his enemy. It is only a matter of time until the plan is realized. He smiled grinningly at the success of his grand plan, until his laughter broke.

Randy stood on the roof of one of the deserted buildings, looking at the dark sky. The amount of sparkle of starlight is not able to illuminate the eyes that look far away. His head was filled with many questions about what he would do next. Many strange memories began to cross his mind, but his purpose in living life will remain the same. Randy stared at the thing in his grasp that he always carried. It was always in his pocket, even when he was dragged by the flash flood in the forest it was still found in his pocket by the man who saved him, and that guy gave it back when Randy was gonna be back in town.

"Maybe all the answers are here."
