Two possibilities

This is the first day Nora will leave at Daren's office. All the family members already knew that he got a job, which is why Eza no longer sneered about him every time he was carrying a newspaper in the dining room.

Nora got a share in the information department, as Daren said yesterday. Nora is shocked to see most of the people there are men, and some of them often see Nora bullying her on social media because of the viral video about Daren.

Nora tried to brace herself to act normal. This office does have stricter regulations than where it used to work. He tried to adjust himself so as not to miss out with other employees.

"Hey!" greet a man with glasses who for a lifetime Nora had never met. "I heard you want to marry the boss. So, what made him switch to liking you when you humiliated him? Don't you get pregnant with her child?"

Nora looked surprised. "Please watch your mouth!"

The man laughed. "I know girls like you. They exist in much of this world and can be found anywhere."

Nora squinted her eyes. Feeling unaccepted in that way. "Oh, so you're a big-time playboy who's always in touch with girls, that's why you know so much about the types of girls in this world?"

The man whirled his smile and turned to look at the emotions. "Don't accuse me!"

"Then don't accuse me as you please" Nora said in an emotional tone.

"What's this?" ask the female head of the information department while keeping an eye on Nora and the playboy man. "Don't fight during work hours. Continue your work!" his orders made Nora pull her seat all the way from that toxic area. Luckily, Daren came out of nowhere to take her out of the room.

Nora follows Daren and stops at the main lobby. His expression still looked annoyed, but not because of DAren. Except for the man who insulted her earlier.

"How was your first day's work experience?" ask Daren.

"bad."

"Why?"

Nora took a long breath. "Why?" askalanya. "Why did you tell me to come here at work?"

"The hospital side just called me, they said Micky asked us to come to the hospital later in the afternoon. I'm just making sure you can come."

Nora thought of the opportunity. Since Micky got sick, he came to the hospital more often. That means, he gets closer to Ravka more and more. "All right, I'll come."

"Good, we'll come there."

"But ... Micky's fine, isn't he?" asked Nora who was a bit surprised.

Daren raised his shoulders. Smiling calmly.

Nora breathed a sigh of relief. He still doesn't know about the injury to Micky's brain and still thinks Micky's only a minor pain.

Micky pulled out her hair. The sharp strands of hair were piercing his forehead and cheeks. He really could not bear to get up from this bed and act as usual, but his whole body did not support him to be able to rise again.

Micky feels something is wrong with his body, which makes it worse and continues to deteriorate.Micky's vision is fading and his head is always sore. Even yesterday he barely recognized his own close friend who used to meet him on campus.

The only thing that keeps Micky smiling is the arrival of the two people he is always waiting for. Daren and Nora were already in front of him. They smiled warmly at him.

"We're getting married!" the word Daren makes Micky unable to hide a happy smile in the middle of his pain.

"when?" ask Micky with a soft tone.

"Not long."

Micky glanced at Nora who nodded. He saw there was a compulsion on the sidelines of Nora's smile. Even so, he was still relieved.

"You're not kidding, are you?" Micky narrowed his eyes, staring in full view.

"No," Nora said, making Micky more convinced by Daren's sentence.

Micky forced himself to laugh. "I'm cured, Daren and the doctor who forbade me to go home."

Nora laughed a little. Daren shook his head imperceptibly. "We'll wait for the doctor's decision until you're ready, and then I'll bring you back."

Micky gave a grouchy expression.

Daren is called by a doctor into the room when Daren plans to walk home because Micky needs a break. Nora came into the room because she was going home with DAren.

Again, the doctor's expression was not as happy as usual. There's bad news coming to Daren's ears soon. Daren wasn't ready to receive the bad news.

The doctor showed the tablet screen without saying anything. Daren knows what the doctor meant. He stared at the screen, at the side, Nora was just dumbstruck not understanding.

"Wound widened?" ask Daren.

The doctor nodded unbearably. "It turns out the drugs didn't prevent the wound from getting dilated."

Daren looked down sad. Give the tablet to the doctor again. "What's next, Doctor?"

"There's no other way but surgery."

"Wait!" sela Nora with a look of shock. All this time he knew that Micky had only minor injuries, then why now Daren was sad to see a picture of six layers of the brain on a tablet screen that showed damage. Is that a depiction of a wound on Micky's head? "Who's the operation?"

"Micky," said Daren not excited.

"She was seriously injured by the bullying, Miss."

Nora's guilt is growing. He did not expect to hear this news.

The doctor tried to look tough. "Are you ready to accept the consequences, if your sister is operated on?"

Daren stared at the doctor. There was a deep wound that he was hiding in his heart. "What consequences, Doctor?"

"I don't like to say it honestly. This operation is very risky, let alone Micky is only nineteen years old."

"What's gonna happen?" Daren's getting curious.

"There are only two possibilities, the operation succeeds or fails."

"What if it fails?" dada Daren went downhill. His emotions had reached the throat.

"Let's think positively. Don't let the operation fail."

Daren looked down again. "I'm not ready to accept that risk, Doctor."

Nora looked pityfully at Daren. For the first time he saw Daren disheartened this much.

"If left in such circumstances without surgery, the risk is even greater" said the doctor trying to calm down.

Daren got up from his seat before reaching an agreement. His mind was chaotic and he needed time to avoid all the problems that were facing him.

Nora hurriedly caught up with Daren to calm the man down. He apologized for Daren's disrespectful behavior.

Nora stopped in the waiting chair as Daren sat there daydreaming and raging with both her thoughts and her sadness.

"Sometimes we have to choose between two choices that have the same risk. Don't let you don't choose it" Nora said.

Daren got up from her seat to hug Nora very tightly. He could not bear to endure his sadness. For the first time Nora received the hug happily, even she linked her arms very tightly to Daren's back so that their embrace would not just come off.
