My body is limp like boneless. I fell down and sat down when I saw the shabby figure standing up and looking at Ratih who was weakly rolled on the bed of the hospital room. Radit chatted as if he was inviting him to chat, whereas Ratih was only able to chim in as much as he could. His limp body was on that wheeled bed. It's happy that Ratih is with Radit, it's just that Ratih never seems to know what Radit did to him all this time.
"Radit, what are you doing?" I said while lifting up the tiny body. But it feels like the tiny little body is very heavy, so that it does not even shift from the top of Ratih's body that has been rolled limp with eyes closed.
Since then, I've been thinking about Ratih being alone with Radit every day at home. Thinking about what happened to my wife, and Radit's sudden visions often turned into monstrous monsters.
Sssrreekkk .. ssrreeekkk .. srreeekkk...
I just realized where the sound came from like a heavy object dragged earlier. The figure of the woman shifted and walked while dragging her long shabby dress and followed her long hair down until it swept the floor. My body trembled, cold sweat soaked the whole body looking at what I thought was capable of awakening my hair.
I did not dare to approach, it seems that even Ratih was not aware of the presence of the creepy figure. The other with Radit. The boy turned his head and chattered cheerfully facing the figure of the woman. Even her hands were waving like asking to be carried, while the woman was just speechless looking at her. But once in a while his hands dangled, grabbed Radit's cheek and stroked him.
The sound of wheels turning like a bed in a fast crane flashed in front of the room where Ratih was being treated at this time. I yawned and wriggled feeling aching all over the body. I have the lyrics of a clock that circles my right wrist. The clock still shows at two in the morning. Apparently it was still dark, but there was already a lot of outdoor activity. Several nurses could be heard passing by and chatting while joking and laughing as they passed by our front room. Ratih seems to have fallen asleep, as well as Radit. While the figure of the woman has been gone for about two hours ago. Even how it went I didn't know too much. What I saw, the figure had gone out and disappeared just like that in front of the bathroom door.
I opened the room door, wanting to see the night mood at the Hospital. It was seen the busyness of the Hospital workers who seemed to be pacing along the hallway. Some even pushed the trolley and walked slowly past me who was standing in front of the door.
"Morning, Mas." I said to the man who pushed the trolley. Not answering, the man just nodded slowly and continued to continue his work and disappeared at the end of the hall.
Cold air hit, making the fur back bristling. The atmosphere that had been crowded suddenly quiet. Some workers are seen leaving their premises and may be on duty or resting. I sat on the front bench of the room while playing a cellphone that I had just kept in my pocket. Not paying attention around, it even made me forget a little bit that I was in the hospital.
"Oh, my wife, sir." I answered kindly as I shifted my seat to give the old man a wider place.
"What pain?" ask again.
"The doctor said only shock and exhaustion. Who are you waiting for?" ask me to come back to continue the conversation.
"I'm just here. No waiting for anyone." he replied and then looked up at the embedded guava tree and grew up in front of the hospital room. I frowned, but I didn't intend to ask more. Perhaps what he meant was that he himself was the patient, so he was not waiting for anyone.
"Sir, what room are you in?" I asked, the man just pointed in a direction with his finger, and I looked at a place where it had a quiet hallway and illumination. Even around the hallway were some grass that started to rise like unkempt. I nodded after knowing the answer.
So surprised when I did not meet the old man who had been sitting next to me. Even where I went I couldn't see it.
"God." I shut my mouth when the old man was at the end of the hall where he had pointed.
"When did he get there?" I murmured softly as I returned the hand from the man. Shortly thereafter the man disappeared into the darkness of the hallway that was somewhere at the end of it. "
Let me find out tomorrow." I muttered in my heart.
