The sound of adzan maghrib reverberating came from a small surau not far from home. I'm trying to take apart the late Father's closet. What I was looking for I finally found. Even though it looks worn, but I still feel determined to wear it along with the peci that already looks seedy and shabby because it has long been unused.

"Where are you going, Mas?" ask Ratih who suddenly appeared from the side of the house. Right now my position is taking ablution water in the back well of the house. The bathroom was already inside the house, but behind the house there is still a well that used to be water we often use to shower before I asked Mom to make a bathroom in the house for fear Ratih will be uncomfortable when returning home. And now only used to fill the padasan only. Sometimes neighbors who pass by and just come home from the rice fields also often stop by to just wash their feet.

"You go to Surau, sir." I answered briefly. Ratih knitted his eyebrows together, but I ignored him. Maybe he doesn't believe I'm going to the surau. Because this is my first time to worship to Surau not at certain times. I usually go to the mosque on holidays. This time I will promise to improve my life and carry out my duties fully.

"Yes, it's too late." I ran to the surau. Ratih who still looked confused just stood still. When I wanted to turn to the side walkway of the house, the end of my eyes caught a shadow standing right behind Ratih. The figure that I was very familiar with with hair dangling forward and covering most of his face seemed to be standing close to Ratih. Both of his eyes seemed to be twitching up to his cheeks. It depends on the small veins that stick so that it holds the eyeball so as not to fall. The figure was holding a child whose face was no less creepy. The child's face was smashed like a blister. Even his eyes looked blackened. Many times I said Istighfar, called for Ratih and asked him to come to the house immediately.

"Already maghrib, Brother. Quickly enter the house. Mas will go home after Isya." said I then ran to surau.

"Tomorrow I'm going to eat Ratna, ma'am. Mommy wanna come?" I asked to divert the work of the mother who was grating coconuts to be made coconut milk.

"Yesterday, I'm already from there, tomorrow I'll accompany us to see your sister" said Mother.

"So, last night did you hear a baby crying?" mother asked me to swallow the saliva.

"Nope-no. Hadi only woke up when he heard a noise in the kitchen." I said. I don't hear a baby's voice. But I seem to know whose voice Mom meant. It feels unbearable if you also have to accept the terror of Radit and Ranti as well.

that's"Maybe I heard wrong, or maybe there's a neighbor's child crying" I said trying to calm Mom down.

"Have, don't look for excuses. I found out about your story this morning. May we all be in the protection of the Most Life-giving" said Mother. Then the mother took a stand and bowed after giving me such advice. I, realizing the change in Mom's attitude, looked back and found out what I saw.
