Chapter 86: Shehan's Handkerchief

"Mas ... go back to Sister Sarah, Mas," Lilis' voice trembled as she said that. His eyelids swayed withstanding the sadness and his tears unceasingly broke.

Shehan who was in front of him was fluttering at Lilis with a dumbfounded look. It was unexpected that Lilis would say such a thing in return for her question.

'Has Lilis already lost her sanity?' shehan thought.

Shehan's grip on Lilis' arm slowly stretched. Falling limp over the lap. Still Shehan looked at his wife with eyes of disbelief.

"Go back to Sister Sarah!" Lilis sobbing.

"What ... What do you mean, Lilis?" Shehan frowned confused.

"Mas can definitely hear my words clearly," LiIis replied as she wiped away the tears.

"Do you think I'm joking or angry that you're a joke? I ask you something else? This has absolutely nothing to do with Sarah!"

"No, Mas. I didn't think Mas was joking and what I said was also true. Go back to Sister Sarah, Mom! Please, go back to Sister Sarah!" liis Lirih.

Shehan's light brown beads circled around Lilis who looked solemn indeed. Then he breathed a long sigh Shehan's chest became tight.

"Why did you tell me to go back to Sarah, Lilis? Do you have a special relationship with Nugie? So you asked me to refer you to Sarah so you can continue your relationship with Nugie!"

"No, Mas. Not because of that!" Lilis shook her head a few times.

"Then why did you turn weird into this? Ever since we got back from Jakarta, you've been indifferent to me, ignoring me. If you're jealous of my attitude toward Sarah, you should be straightforward. I'm not going to repeat the same thing and I'm sorry for that, LiIis."

LiIis was also sorry for Shehan who was trying to get to her, but Lilis had a strong reason why she acted this way.

"Not because of that, Mom?"

"So because of what, Lilis? Tell me what you feel and want! I'm confused by your unclear attitude" Shehan lamented.

"I want Mas to go back to Sister Sarah!"

Lilis insisted without explaining the reason. Of course Shehan was increasingly clueless in the face of Lilis' attitude. And again, Lilis was still holding Nugie's handkerchief when it was the cause of Shehan's jealousy.

"Lilis, listen to me!" Shehan held both shoulders of Lilis. His face was inclined to be able to see Lilis from a closer distance. "Give me that!" Shehan's hand stalled towards LiIis.

Lilis slowly opened her fist and gave Nugie's handkerchief to Shehan. Without waiting for LiIis to place the handkerchief over her palm, Shehan had already snatched it first. With a sad look Shehan got out of the car. Lilis remained alone still inhabiting the front cabin. Opening his fist-wanting to see Shehan's handkerchief once again.

"I'm sorry, Mom! I had to and should do this. There'll be plenty of happiness I save if I sacrifice myself."

One point of LiIis's tears fell on the surface of Shehan's handkerchief, which was dark blue. The tear point immediately absorbs into the fabric fibers quickly to cause blackened spots on the fabric. Once-Lilis inhaled deeply the scent of the handkerchief. Fragrant, very fragrant. The fragrance of Shehan's body stuck there and made Lilis miss the figure of her husband.

However, Lilis must be willing to hold back because she feels the time is not much longer while there are still many tasks that Lilis must do, which is to make Sarah and Shehan reunited.

In the room after changing clothes with a nightgown, Lilis had turned to Shehan who seemed to have slept soundly with a sideways tilting position towards the nightstand. Part of his body was covered in blankets. Then Lilis went up to the bed, covering part of her body with the same blanket. Then Lilis tilted side-to-back towards Shehan. There is a distance between them.

Lilis thought Shehan was asleep, but the problem with LiIis also made Shehan unable to sleep immediately - still upset. Shehan was also consciously aware of the movements LiIis made while climbing into bed.

Once Shehan turned to LiIis. It was only her back that Shehan found because of the position Lilis had behind her. Shehan then changed his sleeping position to be tilted-against Lilis. He wanted to see his wife even if it was just his back, but it was okay. Most importantly it was part of Lilis.

Lilis herself had not slept. He knew Shehan had already changed the direction of sleep and was watching him at this moment. However, Lilis had no intention of looking over. He closed his eyes pretending to be asleep. Ignoring Shehan until it doesn't feel morning.

As usual, Lilis helped Shehan get dressed before leaving for work. This was her duty since she married and became Shehan's wife. In between Lilis stringing up the tie, Shehan took advantage of the situation to talk again with Lilis.

"Lilis..," call Shehan gently.

Lilis turned a glance then refocused on the movements of her hands.

"Did you really mean what you said last night? Can't you change it?"

Shehan waited for Lilis reply with anxious feelings. But Lilis still also flirted unwilling to retaliate. Shehan relented, again dominating the conversation.

"Lilis, if you think I still love Sarah, it's wrong. I love him but at different times."

Lilis was still stubborn with her silence. I don't even want to see Shehan. Busy justifies the suit that Shehan wears. Shehan cupped Lilis' cheeks and raised them so that their views could meet. Soon the two face each other. Shehan did not waste time. He expressed his deepest feelings.

"Now I love you, Lilis."

Shehan paused for a moment, giving a span of time so that Lilis could understand her speech while gently rubbing Lilis' cheeks with her thumb.

"I need you, Lilis. I want you by my side."

Lilis covertly endeared Shehan's confession. During this time Lilis also hesitated over Shehan's feelings for her. But now LiIis did not hesitate anymore. Then what should Lilis do to avenge her husband's confession.

With the glare of my eyes, Lilis chose to leave Shehan just like that in the dressing room without answering a word. This is exactly the same as Shehan's attitude towards her at the beginning of their marriage and now Shehan understands what it's like to be ignored.
