Chapter 15 - Give It Back!

“But this thing is dangerous, James. I can't possibly let you hold this thing.”

“NO! GIVE THAT BACK TO ME!” James pulls the HACS out of Ella's grasp. The boy seemed annoyed that Ella forced him to keep it. But Ella's panic only grew.

If it's been with us since yesterday, it means they must be trying to track us down. It's grim! Ella got up from her chair. The woman sighed deeply before finally saying, “Alright if that is the case. I'm sorry I wanted to take it from you. But you have to promise not to let that thing fall on anyone else, got it?”

“I understand, therefore I do not want Ella to save it..” James lowered his tone. This time the boy spoke in a subtle tone.

“Smart child. But you have to promise me, too. As long as you keep this thing, you can't be away from anyone, be it me or mum and dad, can you?”

“What's the reason?” James frowned.

“You don't need to know the reason. But you can follow my words, right?”

“I understand.”

“Then enjoy your breakfast, I'll go get you some water.” Ella moved out of her place. The woman walked to the kitchen to get him some water. Arriving in the kitchen, Ella immediately pressed a button on her watch to make a hologram screen appear before her. The woman immediately switched to fiddling with the hologram keyboard board and did something before she finally contacted something with her secret tool. He took out his handsfree and contacted someone with the thing. “I sent you a data regarding one of the black organizations. I need you to check it out and please make sure of something for me. Because I have a bad feeling about this.”

“I've already received it. What should I be sure of?”

“I want you to—“

Ting-tong!

Ella's focus shifted when she heard the sound of the house bell being pressed. Somehow Ella became unsettled after seeing the black organization symbol in the tool that James brought. “Wait, someone's coming. Don't break the connection.”

James just nodded his head. Ella stepped towards the front door. Before opening the door, the woman had peeked through the existing door hole. And from there, he saw three adults standing in black clothes. Two of them are female while the other is male.

My heart became more and more unsettled. I hope this isn't a sign of something bad, Ella said. He pulled the knob and opened it. As soon as the door opened, he could immediately see them clearly. “There can I help?”

“We don't have much time because we hurry.” Rieko muttered. The three of them step in with Jefferson pushing Ella's body against the wall. Ella grimaced in pain as her body hit the wall with a slight roughness.

“Akh! What are you doing!”

“I came to bring my stuff you accidentally brought.”

“Needle?” Ella looked at Rieko with a confused face. But before long, he could immediately catch what item the woman meant.

“Tell where the goods are!”

“I don't understand what stuff you mean!” scream Ella. Rieko smirked, the woman turned to focus on Trez who had been standing next to her ever since. “Trez, help me find that thing. Jeff, keep an eye on him and don't let him get away.”

Trez and Jefferson nodded their heads. Rieko and Trez then stepped inside. Ella who saw it could not possibly remain silent, while inside there was James whom she had to protect. “HEY! YOU CAN'T JUST GET IN!”

Ella shouted at them. But they didn't write the sentence at all. Ella who felt completely cornered then had no other choice but to face them even though her body was weak. The woman took a swing, attacking Jefferson with her feet. He stomped his foot with all his might and then hit the man's stomach with his knee until he was finally free.

“Argghhh...” Jefferson grimaced in pain while holding his stomach. The man looked up, looking at Ella with an annoyed face. Without giving Ella a chance to escape, she immediately threw a fist at him. But Ella deftly dodged the attack and counterattacked him. A fight between the two ensues, Ella and Jefferson attack each other.

Ella's attention again turned to Rieko and Trez who had now passed through the middle room. That woman really doesn't have much time to deal with Jefferson. Ella must immediately stop them before the two meet James.
