Chapter 8 - HACS

“SAY! WHERE DID YOU HIDE THOSE HACS!” carlota shouted at Elios who had been silent since then and looked at the woman with a watchful face. Since being unconscious yesterday, they were confused by what happened because the boy did not bring the thing they were looking for. Now the efforts of Carlota and his men are in vain because they did not get what they should have. Carlota had also tried to find the object to where they had found Elios. But neither did they find the device at the scene. Not only that, even Rieko had tried to track it, and as a result they had lost their connection because it seemed like the GPS on the device was disabled by someone.

“GRRR!!! GOO!” Elios is still there, the boy still seems to be trying to protect himself from Carlota and his men. The boy's body seemed to be more disheveled than ever, especially after yesterday's incident, the boy was constantly questioned about the device they were referring to, and whenever Elios did not answer him, they always give punishment with the shock device in Carlota's hands.

HACS or Human Automatic Control System, is a tool created and designed specifically by SOTD, a technology developer company that has always tried to make new innovations and breakthroughs in the world of technology. HACS is a control device for controlling the latest weapons they have designed. By using the remote, then they will be able to control the weapon which is now still in the experimental stage and is still unstable. Unfortunately before they managed to perfect their latest technology, the remote was already lost due to an incident that occurred a few days ago.

They lost HACS after Elios took it and took it with him, who fled and went missing for several days. But luckily Carlota manages to find the boy and bring him back. Although it seems that it is also completely useless because the child also did not bring HACS with him.

SOTD or Secret Organization of Technology Developers itself is an organization that operates in secret. As technology developers, they do not develop ordinary technology, because they also have an unusual purpose by creating such technology. Most of the technology they develop usually has a close connection to the dark world and what is in it. Literally, their organization is operating illegally.

“THIS SHIT LOOKS LIKE IT WILL NEVER SAY. THEN IT SEEMS LIKE THERE REALLY IS NO OTHER CHOICE BUT WE MAKE IT JERA!” Carlota grasped the shock device in his grasp tightly. He pressed the device until it lit up. He walked slowly toward Elios, preparing to teach the boy a lesson.

In the meantime, Elios was able to instantly realize the danger. He hurried back while trying to protect himself. Unfortunately the effort he put in was completely futile as Carlota was in charge in his place. The woman electrocuted her body repeatedly with a shock device so that Elios could only groan in pain before finally falling down on the floor in a limp and barely conscious state. The boy had no more energy to protect himself.

“This is the result if you don't want to tell the truth!” Carlota looked at him with a satisfied face, the boy was completely helpless again after he had electrocuted his body repeatedly. Amidst what he was doing, suddenly their attention turned to the sound of the open door they had just heard. Everyone inside immediately turned around and found Alejandro who was now stepping in with Rieko. Everyone immediately bowed their bodies, saluting the man as soon as he arrived inside.

“How? Has he said the existence of HACS?” asked the man who was now silent while looking at Carlota and his men there. Carlota and his men can only be stunned in a state of silent mouth. None of them dared to say what had happened because they were too afraid of the man's anger. “WHY ARE YOU GUYS QUIET!”

“Maaf—“

“ENOUGH! I DON'T LIKE TO HEAR THAT PHRASE COMING OUT OF YOUR MOUTH, BECAUSE I CAN INSTANTLY GUESS WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO SAY. YOU GUYS FAILED RIGHT?!”

“She has absolutely no say on the whereabouts of HACS. Even we've been questioning him since yesterday, sir.”.

“Ya, sir?”

“Is there a new development regarding the existence of HACS?”

Rieko turned to focus on a tablet she had been holding since. The woman immediately checked back on the location of the HACS they were looking for, but from what she saw, she found no change at all. “There's still no progress, sir. HACS is still in GPS mode off.”

“Absolutely you can't trace the last location of HACS?”

“About it, HACS is designed with different location system, sir. The HACS location feature can only be found when the GPS is on, and when the GPS is off, the system will automatically remove the last trace of the location of the signal captured. And from the data I got, it was deliberately designed by the central team to avoid any unwanted tracking and attacks.”

“You mean, we won't be able to track the whereabouts of HACS anymore?”

“No if HACS is off, but if someone accidentally activates it again, then we will be able to find its location.”

“I don't have much time. We only have three days, and in those three days, I don't want to know how you should be able to find HACS before the Boss knows about this. Anyway I don't want this matter to leak into the headquarters, and whoever dares to leak it, then be prepared to endure the consequences!” Alejandro turned around, preparing to step away. But just one step the man walked, he immediately stopped when he remembered that there were still things he had to say.

“Oh! And one more, Carlota! I need you to find the son of a bitch's friends. Find them within three days, because in three more days, we will hand them all over to the head office!”

Carlota widened his eyes. As well as Rieko and the others, they were really shocked by what the man had just said. “You mean, we will leave Argentina, sir?”

“Isn't that obvious?” Alejandro passed away leaving all of them still silent. Everyone was still shocked by the man's words. He asked them to gather all their tools in three days before they would leave Argentina and go to headquarters.
