Chapter 18 - All are lies

A few months have passed. The search for Gaza has not found its bright spot. David was hiding.

Until finally, Gaza found David in the same place as him. At that time, Gaza will meet with his client. Apparently Gaza and David are going to meet the same person.

The two men looked at each other. Gaza pretended not to know anything at the beginning. He also talked to David. The two explained the benefits of their respective companies to win the project.

After the meeting, they left the room. Gaza greets David and makes the man silent.

"You have been here all along in Jakarta. I didn't expect it at all. You seem to be a great liar. Nothing about you that Gea knows is the truth. Everything is a lie you made to ensnare Gea. I am grateful that you have separated from him."

Gaza patted David on the shoulder and went past David. David's dead flea. He forgot that Gea had a friend. What makes David even more upset is, he did not expect Gaza which he thought only young villagers were rivals in seizing the project from clients.

Damnit damnit! I shouldn't have given Gea any money! I should've made that woman miserable to the point of not being able to contact anyone. If this is what it is. I'm the one in trouble. Damnit damnit! Damnit damnit!

His heart kept grumbling. However, his secretary's words made him wake up and walk out of the place.

Arriving at home, Mr. Giandratama asked about a meeting with a client in his workroom at home.

"Hows it? Can you win that project? Papa hopes you can win it. Because papa hates Geo Corp. The company always takes on the projects you want."

"Look, I'll try desperately to win the project. I don't like the representatives of that company either. Overconfident and arrogant."

"Good! Papa believes you can handle it."

David nodded then walked out of his papa's study. He clenched his hands tightly. Emotions began to spread into his body. The man had already interfered in his personal affairs as well as work affairs. David would do anything to win the project. Even in a sneaky way.

His feet continued until he finally reached his room. Instead of getting a welcome from the wife, David even saw Selena who fell asleep soundly on the bed. He approached his wife there. He rubbed his head and spoke slowly.

"You must be sooty taking care of Alwin every day" David said, then kissed Selena on the forehead.

David pulled out his tie and threw it over the sofa. He also took off his shirt and went to the bathroom to refresh his already hot head.

After the shower, David called someone. Both of them were very serious. How not seriously, David asks the man to look for Gea. David felt he miscalculated. Gea should not have left him alone. Gea should still be locked up so that no one knows the bad side. If this is the case, David feels tight-fisted. Moreover, Gaza seems to know a lot about its former household.

"That! Damnit damnit! Why am I so worried about this! Gea! Look out for you! I'll make you never get to see Alwin. Don't you think with you telling me there's Gaza, you'll be able to find Alwin. It won't happen, as long as I'm alive."

David's hand was already clenched perfectly ready to vent it. However, Selena's leng*han voice, made her emotions slightly subside.

"Home home from work, baby? Sorry yes, I overslept so did not welcome your return," he said, changing his position to sit down.

"Yes, it's okay, baby. You must have been cape all day. Thanks for taking care of Alwin even though he's not your flesh and blood."

"Yes mas. This was both of our plans. I should love him too. Because otherwise, mom and dad would be suspicious. Aye right?"

"Yes you're right, too, dear."

"Hug me first dong darling. I feel like my energy today is drained from meeting people I don't want to meet."

As David approached Selena, Selena hugged David tightly.

"There was. Anyway he's the one who really pisses me off and gets angry today."

"What if we just go outside to defuse your anger? As long as we're in Jakarta, we haven't gone both ways. You're always busy with your work."

Selena's words are right. While in Jakarta, the place that David visited was only office and home. Men never go out unless it's a client's request.

"All right, tonight we go out, baby. But it looks like Alwin might not be us to take it. The air wasn't good for her."

Who wants to go with the baby? I just want to go alone with you.

"That's better, though. The night air is not good for babies. He was afraid he'd catch a cold and flu. Let Alwin be in Santi's care."

David nodded.

"Yes, take a shower and a beautiful dress."

"Who is my husband" he replied with a sweet smile and then stole a kiss on David's cheek.

Selena got up from the bed, then took off the cloth attached to her body in front of David just like that. Then go into the bathroom.

David could only shake his head. His wife was always able to make him unable to hold back his passion. But, he cannot vent it when his emotions are not good. What is later, Selena will even be hurt by him. He knows very well the limits of patience he has. Because actually David is an irritable, upset and vindictive. He just pretended to be nice and friendly in front of a lot of people.

David and Selena are ready to go. They both say goodbye to mom and dad.

"If Alwin cries later, ask for help ma," David asked.

"Here, calm down. Go if you want to go, but don't come home too late."

Both are at the same time.

They both got out the door and into the car. David and Selena went to a fancy place that night.

At home, Gaza was a little confused between telling Gea or not if he had met David. He knows where David lives. Only, he had never seen the whereabouts of Gea's son.

"Duh, how is it? Ah, bodo amatlah. I really have to tell you all this. But, Gea would be sad if she knew all this time she was lied to by her husband. Oh, my God!"

Gaza is worried for itself. He did not have the heart and did not want Gea to be sad anymore. However, in the end, Gaza kept telling Gea what he knew. Even the woman he loves has to be sad again.
