Chapter 59 - Requesting a referral

As time passes by, David is evicted from his apartment for not being able to pay his rent for the next month. With a heavy heart David came out of there.

David pulls his suitcase along the sidewalk while thinking about his life. The money in his wallet was only a hundred thousand dollars. All his money has been spent he used foya-foya. What he should have made a huge profit from his investment, he was instead cheated all out.

"Gurghhh!"

David was screaming in frustration. His life is getting more miserable and miserable at the moment. David continued walking without direction and purpose. However, he stopped at once because he thought of something in his head.

When a taxi passed by, David stopped him and told the taxi driver his destination.

The taxi stopped in front of the beautiful house. David entered without a hitch, hoping his parents could give him a second chance.

David's arrival made Tamara happy and immediately hugged her son. Unlike Mr. Giandratama who looked at him full of question marks.

"What are you coming back for? Wouldn't you prefer your wife over your parents?" asked Mr. Giandratama with his rice.

"I'm sorry pa. I've been wrong. I regret not listening to Papa. Me and Selena are divorced."

Mr. Giandratama smiled obliquely. While David tells the truth about Selena who lied to him from the beginning and cheated on him behind her until pregnant with a child from his affair.

"You deserve that. Have a good wife even you wasted. But a wife is like trash you keep her," he blasphemed sadistically.

David knew he had made a lot of mistakes. He begged his parents for forgiveness, accompanied by tears coming out. Tamara felt sad and cried and hugged her son. She even asked her husband to give her another chance so David could change. However, Mr. Giandratama remained silent.

"It would be better if you were really sorry. You try from the beginning. Do not keep your parents' power and wealth as a shield. If it continues, you will never understand how hard it feels. Then as for your divorce and Selena's, you'll take care of it legally quickly. But, to receive you back home, papa can't."

"Mr ..."

"Can't Ma. This child must learn what he is doing. All his trials are now the fruit of the seed he planted."

Tamara cried while hugging her son. Seeing the appearance of David's urgency just his heart felt sliced. But she could not dispute her husband's orders.

"Well, I'll prove it to you, if I've changed. I will show you my success later. But, before that, can you meet me with Alwin and Gea? I miss Alwin and want to apologize to Gea."

Actually Mr. Giandratama refused to bring David to Gea or Alwin. But, Tamara actually agreed by directly calling Gea profit came to his house without knowing the reason for being told there.

After waiting for tens of minutes, Gea came with Alwin's ride. He was shocked to see David kneeling before his father. Gea was confused and felt heartache, sadness and anger when she saw David. Because unconsciously, bad memories made David twisted himself in his memory.

"Ge" call David.

Gea did not answer. Gea instead gave a dislike look to David. He then looked at Tamara and Mr. Giandratama asked for an explanation of this. Both of them were silent until David called Gea again accompanied by his apology.

"Ge forgive me. Forgive all my mistakes that hurt you. I'm really sorry for that. Now I get the reward. Selena cheated until pregnant child from her affair. Even he lied about having a weak uterus because he did not want to get pregnant and give birth to children. I was also deceived by people. I realize I've been so mean to you."

"You're sorry and sober after getting your karma. But, unfortunately, I don't believe in your regrets. You're even very smart to make a show as if you love me when we both became a couple. Apologizing is easy, the hard thing is apologizing sincerely. And I don't see that sincerity in your eyes. I don't know what you're planning on doing in your head. But I won't be able to lie to you anymore."

"Ge, please trust me. I really regret everything. Even if allowed I want to make up for it by giving the whole family to Alwin. We can re-refer."

Gea laughed hearing that. He never thought about what was going through David's head. He easily asked back after leaving a huge wound.

"Stop bragging. Don't say sweet promises from your mouth! I can't believe that. Besides, I don't want to fall into the same hole" Gea replied.

"But, Alwin needed the figure of a Gea father. We can give it to him if we get back. I promise I won't lie again."

"That's you know that Alwin needs a father figure. Then what about you who wickedly separated a child and a mother? Alwin still needs a mother figure, right?"

David was unable to speak anymore.

"I'm not the old Gea. You can apologize as much as you can and ask me to come back. But, sorry I won't accept it. The pain here, may slowly fade. But the former didn't. All those bad memories I will never forget in my entire life. You are the man I once loved and trusted with all my heart but now no more than a liar, no heart and no coward in my eyes."

"Gea please!"

David pleaded with Gea. But Gea, who was hard-hearted, ignored that.

"You better live your life for self-introspection. Look at all the mistakes you have made. Only then, can you be in a relationship with whoever it is."

"Gea .." call David with tears in his eyes.

"Don't call my name!"

"May I hold Alwin?" ask David for permission. Gea nodded.

Seeing David who seemed to love his son sincerely, Gea became a little moved. But he can't be careless. He must remain strong in order to educate Alwin so as not to be like his father.

After being satisfied with Alwin, David gives Alwin again to Gea. Then he left from there.

When he was far from his parents' home. David's hands clenched. The man looked angry and upset, because Gea could not fool him anymore. He also did not get anything from his father even though he had apologized to beg.

"Look, I'm not giving up. I'll get what I once had again."
