"Where's Devi ma'am?" ask Alby as soon as he arrives.

"Devi is sleeping" Ishwari replied.

Alby's headed straight for Devi's room. Alby opened the door and walked towards the bed very slowly. Afraid that the sound of her footsteps would wake Devi, who was sleeping.

Alby knows Devi's situation. Early in the morning his mother had contacted him and asked where Devi was. This made Alby panic. Fortunately, Alby was already in the middle of the road to follow Devi to her parents' house so she could get home immediately. Yeah, once Alby's surgery is over, he goes right after Devi.

Alby also finds out that Devi just fell off her father's bike. Her father had already explained in detail Devi's circumstances to her. The trauma of seeing blood must still haunt him.

Alby watched Devi fall asleep. It still had tears on Devi's cheeks that were starting to dry up.

Slowly Alby's hand gently caressed Devi's hair and kissed her forehead long ago.

Alby who felt the movement of Devi immediately turned his attention to Devi.

"I'm sorry I woke you up" Alby said softly.

Devi just kept quiet while staring at Aly.

"Now you want to sleep again?" ask Alby. Devi simply shook her head slowly in response.

"How hurt? Has it been treated?"

Again Devi just fell silent and just nodded her head in response.

Alby lies down on Devi's side and takes Devi into her arms.

"Why not ask Asep to help you? Didn't you let me ride a horse? Why is it cycling?"

Hearing Alby's question made both of Devi's eyes glaze over and it did not escape Alby's sight.

"Oh well I'm sorry, I won't scold you. Don't cry, I won't ask anymore" said Alby quickly as he tightened his arms.

"I won't scold Devi anymore. After all, Asep's bike is only the wheel that comes off, tomorrow I will buy another new Asep bike. The important thing is that you're okay is enough for me" continued Alby.

"Om," call Devi slowly.

"Hm?"

"I want to do psychotherapy."

Alby looked at Devi inside. It looks like Devi is already on her threshold, considering that she rejected Alby's request for psychotherapy.

"You must be suffering" said Alby. "Is there another memory you remember this time?"

Devi was shocked upon hearing Alby's question, but she managed to cover up her shock. Does Alby know about the old house?

"Nothing," Devi lied.

"alright. After we get back to town, I'll find you the best psychiatrist" Alby said.

Devi hugged Alby tightly and nodded her head in approval of Alby's idea.

"You know what the purpose of psychotherapy is for your own good? It's time you let go of all your past. No need to be wiped out, you just make peace with it all and live a quiet life without imagining your past again. You've suffered enough, it's time for you to be happy" Alby said.

"Do I deserve to be happy?" great-grandson Devi.

Alby let go of her embrace and looked at Devi gently. His left hand he placed on top of Devi's head while stroking her gently.

"of course. You can be happy even you should be happy not to be sad anymore."

"If it's Alby?"

"What's wrong with me?"

"Is Alby happy?"

Alby smiled at Devi's words. Alby knew where Devi was going. Did Devi lose her confidence?

"I'm happy. As long as Devi is happy then I will be happy" Alby replied seriously.

The test!

Tears back down both cheeks Devi made Devi immediately cover her face using both hands.

"What's wrong? Open your hands, baby, why are you crying?" alby asked while trying to open Devi's hand that covered her face.

"Om Alby don't look at me! I look so ugly when I cry!" said Devi trying to hold her hand.

"Well, I won't see you when you cry. Look, I close my eyes you can cry as much as you can" Alby said, closing her eyes.

Slowly Devi opened both of her hands and stared at Alby with her puffy eyes.

Can I be selfish by burying deep in my past sins for my future with Alby?

I don't want to lose Alby, I love him so much.

"I gave Alby one more chance" Devi said.

Alby opened his eyes and stared at Devi intensely.

"A chance?"

"Hm. An opportunity that Alby could take once in a lifetime."

"What's that?"

Devi seemed to stop for a moment before she finally tried to vent her heart.

"Om, I'm not as good as Alby thinks. There were many sins and mistakes I committed in the past. Living with me will only bring misery. My family background is also very bad. I didn't want Alby to regret it later because he chose me, so I gave Alby a chance to leave me" Devi said.

"If I don't want that chance, what?"

"Then Alby must not regret choosing me. Risk is borne by itself. Besides, Alby can't leave me no matter what happens, even if I'm a sinner. So how's om? Where did Alby choose?"

"Om Alby choose where?" insist Devi.

Alby smiling. He pinched slowly on Devi's nose while chuckling.

"Why laugh? I'm being serious om" whined Devi.

Alby stopped his laughter.

"I'm not laughing."

Devi flicked her lips in annoyance at Alby's reply.

"lik! The corner of Alby's lips is drawn like this. Look, isn't this a laugh?" Devi demonstrates how Alby laughs at her.

"Oh really? Is that called laughter?"

Devi nodded her head innocently in response.

"Well, I just found out that laughing turns out that way. Thank you, because Devi I know what it is to laugh," Alby said staring deeply at Devi.

Devi's heart warmed and moved as soon as she heard Alby's words. Alby's smart to make it float.

Alby glanced at the watch that was curled sweetly on his wrist.

"There's still an hour left. Go to sleep, I'll wake you up later."

"Where are we going?"

"home. I have to go to college tomorrow and I have to work. What was? Don't want to go home?"

Devi immediately shook her head as soon as she heard Alby's last sentence.

"Well, I'll sleep in a minute. Om Alby, wake me up, okay?"

"Hm. Put your hand in" Alby ordered, raising Devi's blanket to the chest. "It's your Totom hug, aren't you here because of Toto?"

"Heem."

"Now sleep. Don't think about anything else."

"Hm."

Alby watched Devi who started to close her eyes in silence. Not long after, Alby heard a soft snoring sound from Devi, the sign of Devi was already softened.

"I will never take the opportunity you gave me. You're my choice, as long as you're the reason I laugh then I won't be miserable" Alby said sincerely.

Alby kissed Devi's forehead long before she left the room.

After Alby leaves, Devi opens her eyes. He hadn't slept and he heard all Alby's words.

Devi was very touched. How could he be loved so sincerely by Alby?

Alby's answer even makes him feel unworthy to be with Alby.

*****

Devi stared at the car window without interest. It was already night, there was nothing he could observe as it was swallowed by the darkness of the night.

Both legs of Devi he bend until attached to his chest, then his head he leaned on the chair with a view that continues to point outwards.

Alby looked at it. In his heart he was quite confused and worried about Devi's mood swings. Did something happen to her?

"Devs?"

"Hm?"

Devi turned her head towards Alby as soon as she heard Alby calling her name.

"What's wrong? Why do you look so moody? Is your mood not good? Or has something happened?"

"Nothing."

Devi just answered Alby's question briefly.

Devi is eager to tell Alby the truth, but she can't. Devi was not prepared with Alby's answer. But this guilty feeling just kept strangling her neck.

"Of."

"Hm?"

"I went to an old house on a branching street."

Alby's frozen. Both of his hands clasped the steering wheel tightly. Now Alby knows the reason behind Devi's change of attitude.

"I got another memory" Devi continued, trying to continue her story.

"There I killed a man with a knife. I don't know how it happened, but I remember I stabbed him in the stomach." One tear escaped down Devi's cheek.

"I killed someone, um" cried Devi in the end.

Alby pulled the car over. He immediately faced Devi who was now crying bitterly while covering her face with both hands.

"No. You didn't kill anyone" Alby said.

"But I'm"

"You didn't kill anyone. I can confirm that, "cut Alby back to convince Devi.

Devi looked at Alby with her eyes as if asking what she meant.

Slowly Alby's hand stretched out gently stroking Devi's hair while smiling.

"I already know everything but I forbid you to go there."
