Doctor Alby Pujaan Hati

Doctor Alby Pujaan Hati
Electroencephalogram (EEG)

It was getting dark and the weather seemed to be less supportive. Heavy rain and strong winds added to the silence inside Devi's nursery.

Devi walked towards the balcony to see the rushing rain and the wind without fear.

Alby was coming home to the apartment to take a shower and change clothes, alby managed to get out of Devi's nursery after he persuaded Devi to leave for a while under the pretext of bringing Devi's beloved Toto doll to the hospital to accompany him.

Devi observed the surrounding scenery that was filled only with buildings lined up neatly next to the hospital building. The building is not very clear because of the heavy rain.

Slowly Devi's hands stretched out to touch the cold rain. His mind recalls the dream of his accident. What exactly does this dream mean? Why was it that so seeing the blood and the accident earlier this afternoon, his head ached and the nightmare was twisted back in his memory? Is it because he's a blood phobia? But is there anyone whose phobia to blood can faint as soon as they see blood?

Devi reached into her phone and typed something into her search. After a few seconds an article appeared about the fact of blood phobia, Devi immediately read it carefully.

'This type of blood phobia can sometimes cause a decrease in heart rate and blood pressure, so it often causes the sufferer to faint'

Devi sighed softly. He fainted from a phobia of blood. Devi walked backwards and leaned against the wall because the wind was getting stronger and the rain was getting heavier even now Devi's hair and clothes had begun to get wet from splashing rain water, but Devi had no intention of going inside.

Alby, who had just arrived to find Devi not on top of his safe, panicked. His eyes glowed looking for Devi's whereabouts then stopped once he saw the balcony door that opened with a pair of Devi's sandals on the balcony.

Bugh!!

Alby's eyes were perfectly rounded as soon as he heard something falling from a height. Alby immediately ran to the balcony and looked down to make sure the sound he heard was not Devi who fell.

"Omm?" call Devi confused as soon as she sees Alby like a doormat. Alby's breathing was hunting and his facial features were full of worry.

"Ap...what are you doing there?" alby asked with a breath of agony.

"I want to see rain" replied Devi.

"Then why did you put your sandals there?!" show Alby by trying to normalize his breathing.

"Oh that I deliberately put it there if later om Alby come, om Alby know I'm here," explained Devi who made Alby exhale slowly. Alby walked over to Devi and hugged her.

"You're worrying me" Alby said, rubbing Devi's back gently. "Let's go in, the rain is very heavy and the wind is also strong," invited Alby who was obeyed by Devi.

Once inside, Alby immediately locked the balcony door and kept the key in his pants pocket. Scared if Devi walks to the balcony and does something dangerous.

"Here let me dry your hair" said Alby, taking a towel from his backpack.

Devi complied and immediately sat on top of her safe. Alby approached and began to dry Devi's wet hair.

"Your clothes are wet too. Wait a minute I will ask the nurse for help to change your clothes," Alby said as he stood up.

Devi simply nodded her head in response. A few minutes later, the nurse came and helped Devi change her clothes.

"Doctor Alby, Devi's done getting dressed."

Alby walks into Devi's ward and immediately thanks the nurse who helped Devi change her clothes.

Afterwards Alby again dried the wet Devi's hair with his towel.

"How are you feeling?" ask Alby.

"I'm fine om, just a little sleepy."

"Night you sleep?" alby Pinta.

"Why indeed? I'm so sleepy."

"Tomorrow you will do an EEG test and when the test takes place you must be asleep. So tonight you can't sleep so that tomorrow during the test you're sleepy and asleep."

"That's what test? Sick is not om?" ask Devi scared.

"That's a test to find out the electrical activity in your brain. You just fell and your head hit the asphalt and got a little hurt. Afraid of injuries and abnormalities in your brain, I asked Raka to do an EEG on you" Alby said gently as she continued to dry Devi's hair. Alby is forced to lie a little to Devi because the main purpose of asking EEG to Raka is Alby wants to know more details of the amnesia experienced by Devi.

"It must have hurt a lot. I don't want om" said Devi.

"It won't hurt. Trust me," Alby.

"Will my head be operated on?" devi asked with both teary eyes.

"No. EEG is different from surgery. Doctors won't dissect your head, they just attach electrodes. Even an EEG will not cause any pain. You're like a regular sleeper" explained Alby.

Devi was silent and thought. Did he have to do the test just because he fainted and hit his head on the asphalt?

"Don't be afraid, I'll keep you company" comforted Alby as he gently stroked Devi's hair.

"Om Alby is working."

"I've asked for permission to accompany you to the EEG test tomorrow" Alby said.

"Alright, then I want to watch my favorite boyband variety show so as not to get sleepy" said Devi.

"I'll turn it around for you" replied Alby.

"Where's Totoku?"

"It's there, I'll get it."

*****

Until the next day, Devi really did not sleep. The bottom of his eyes looked black like panda eyes and his eyes felt very spicy because he continued to watch television featuring his favorite variety show.

Devi turned to the side and found Alby sleeping with his head resting on Devi's side gurney. Alby seemed to sleep very well, maybe he was exhausted because he accompanied Devi to stay up late.

Devi's hand was stretched out to gently caress Alby's hair. Her heart warmed when she remembered Alby's treatment of her. Alby's worry about her makes him very happy. If only Devi was born a little faster, maybe now Devi has whined at Sean to be immediately betrothed to Alby. Geez why Devi's been thinking about Alby instead of Raden lately? Isn't the person Devi likes Raden?

Devi slapped her cheek a little hard to wake herself up.

Plaque!

"Aww!!" squealed Devi as soon as her slap felt a little hard.

Devi's shriek makes Alby wake up from his sleep. Devi, who sees Alby awake, feels guilty for him.

"Hustt.... Om Alby sleeps again" said Devi, stroking Alby's head gently.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to disturb your sleep, um," Devi said feeling guilty.

"No problem. It's morning after all. I go take a shower first" said Alby as he got up to the bathroom.

After a while, Alby was tidy with his doctor's clothes.

"Why is Alby wearing those clothes? He said Alby's gonna be with me?" devi asked confusedly.

"I'll be with you but after that I have to keep working. I've asked Laudya to accompany you later while I'm at work."

"No way!" reject Devi.

"Why? Laudya has agreed to take care of you."

"I don't want to! I myself am brave, no need to be accompanied by Aunt Laudya," whined Devi.

Alby did not have time to answer, Raka had entered first into Devi's nursery and it made Devi a little afraid.

"Hi Devi, how are you? Looks like your brother really forbade you to sleep huh?" sapa Raka friendly.

Devi only smiled awkwardly while nodding her head in response.

"No need to bother me. I'm a good friend of your brother Alby's, so you take it easy on me and consider me your brother too."

"I.iya doc," replied Devi stuttered because now she was a little afraid to do the EEG test. Oh, come on, where was his courage last night? Why did he become frightened even just by looking at Raka who incidentally is the doctor?

"What's wrong?" alby asked softly upon hearing Devi's stammering voice.

"I'm scared," Devi honestly.

"Not to be afraid, I will accompany you. Trust me, it won't hurt" Alby calmed Devi down.

Devi was taken to the room for an EEG examination. So seeing the many tools in the room made Devi scared.

"I'll keep you here, don't be afraid" Alby said, calming Devi down. Alby clasped Devi's hand as if he had kept his promise not to leave Devi alone.

"I'm afraid om" said Devi while crying.

"It's okay. This does not hurt," said Alby calmed Devi but instead of calm, Devi instead became more and more.

"I don't want to!!" reject Devi while rising up intending to run but Alby managed to hold her back.

"Dev, listen up! Please calm down" said Alby, trying to be patient.

"Take me off, I don't want to!! I'm scared!!" yelled Devi thrashing for release even now Raka also helped calm Devi.

"Om I want to go home!!" devi cries while hitting Alby on the shoulder.

"Yes, we're going home, but once you finish this check, okay?"

"I promise I'll do it fast. It won't hurt at all" Raka said, calming Devi down.

I don't know that suddenly as soon as he entered a room full of medical devices like that, a shadow he had once been in a place like that re-spinning filled his head. The shadow as he thrashed to be released by someone wearing all black clothes also contributed to shadowing him.

'Unhand me!!! Please let go of me!!!'

'Why did I let you go? Don't you want to go after your parents?'

'I don't want to!'

'Hey you quickly hold this little girl's body, I'd love to take her whole organ and I'll sell it! I will definitely be rich!! This is a worthy reply from what Banyu did to me hahaha!'

"Take me off" said Devi, with tears streaming down her cheeks.

Alby was actually a little pity and wanted to change his decision once he saw a frightened Devi when he was about to undergo the examination but he was already wet now so the only thing he could do was ask Devi to calm down so that the EEG examination can run smoothly.

Once Alby's hand on his shoulder began to loosen, Devi immediately revolted about to get up and down from the safe intend to escape but Devi forgot if on the back of his left hand there is still an infusion there. As a result, once the infusion is interested, the infusion is released and blood immediately flows from the back of his hand.

Alby immediately pressed Devi's left hand with his left hand right in his wound to stop the bleeding and his right hand immediately closed Devi's eyes and pulled Devi into his arms.

Alby knew if Devi saw a drop of blood then the memory would reappear and other related memories could also return. No! Alby doesn't want those horrible memories back!

"Hustt relax. If you don't want to, I won't force you" Alby said gently as he kissed Devi's head.

Raka who heard it also asked for an explanation of Alby's intentions through the movement of his hand. Alby also gestured for Raka to obey Devi alone because there seemed to be something that made Devi scared. Didn't Devi want to be told by Alby last night that she was going to do an EEG test? Then why is Devi scared now?

"I don't want om" Devi's great-grandson interrupted her crying.

"Yes. If you don't want me, I won't force you" Alby told Devi. Alby also asked Raka for help to stop the blood flowing on the back of Devi's hand that was injured due to the infusion that was pulled by her. Alby also asks Raka to clean the blood attached to his hand to clean so that Devi does not see a drop of blood.

Devi still shakes in fear in Alby's arms, even Devi is unconscious and feels pain once Raka treats the wound on the back of her hand.

"Om let's go home" said Devi.

"Yes, let's go home" replied Alby.

"Dad, I want to be fat," said Devi suddenly who made Alby a little surprised but after he remembered the conversation with Devi first when Alby held Devi who had her legs sprained. Alby once told Devi that if Devi is sad, Devi can ask Alby to hold her and take her for a walk like her father.

"Then go up. Let's go for a walk" said Alby, releasing his arms and crouching in front of Devi.

Why did Loey immediately use the EEG to diagnose Devi's amnesia instead of doing a thorough physical exam and neurological examination first?

So gini actually without doing a physical and neurological examination first, Alby will already know from Sean if Devi has amnesia and the type experienced by Devi is dissociative amnesia. But Alby was not satisfied with Sean's answer that seemed not to want to explain further about the amnesia suffered by Devi. Therefore Alby wanted to confirm it himself through the EEG test.

And a thorough physical and neurological examination is the initial stage to diagnose whereas an EEG is to strengthen the results of such a diagnosis.

Notes: if something is wrong please correct it yes, Loey only rely on google as reference😊
