"I couldn't give you permission for that long" the director said, denying Alby's permission request.

Alby breathed heavily. He actually already knew if the leave of more than two weeks will not be allowed but Alby wanted to try it, who knows the director gave him permission but it turns out the director's answer did not allow him to take leave.

"If you're on leave what about your patients? Don't you have to keep an eye on the patient you operated on yesterday? It's not that I didn't give you a leave permit just that twenty-three days was a very long time, '" the director explained.

"All right, I understand the director. I beg you to resign, sorry to interrupt your time" said Alby.

Once out of the director's room, Alby was quite surprised to find Laudya who was already standing at the door while staring at him.

"When have you been standing here?" ask Alby.

"I just arrived. What was? Did my father threaten you or speak ill of you?" laudya asked suspiciously.

"No," Alby replied with a smile.

"Then?"

Alby was silent and thought for a moment. He does not get a leave permit and he is also unlikely to let Devi go to Singapore alone. Devi doesn't speak English, but it's her first time on a plane and traveling that far. Alby was worried about letting her go alone.

Alby raised his gaze towards Laudya. Suddenly an idea came into his head.

"Can we talk to you both? There's something I want to tell you" Alby said.

Now Alby and Laudya are on the hospital rooftop to talk about something important.

"What's wrong?" ask Laudya.

"Laudya you studied in Singapore, right?" ask Alby seriously.

"Yes, ever. Why why?" laudya asked confused by Alby's question.

"Can I ask you a favor?"

"Solicit what please?"

"Can you accompany Devi to Singapore for more than two weeks? I'll compensate you for not working that long" Alby said seriously.

"Wait a minute By. This is not a matter of money, please explain first what really happened? Why would Devi go to Singapore?"

Alby sighed softly as he stared at the neatly lined buildings before him.

"Devi's brother Sean is sick. Doctors diagnosed a spontaneous tumor rupture last night and Sean's estimated age was only twenty-three days. Devi wanted to accompany her brother until his last moment arrived but I couldn't keep her company. I couldn't get a leave of absence for that long and Devi didn't speak English. I can't bear to let him go to Singapore alone" explained Alby, who made Laudya even more clueless.

"Sean? Who's Sean? Isn't Devi's brother you're Alby?"

"No" Alby replied, shaking his head. "I'm an only child. Sean left it to me because he was undergoing treatment in Singapore. I purposely acknowledged her as a little sister in front of all of you so that no one would think weirdly because I live with a high school girl" Alby continued.

Laudya nodded her head in understanding.

"But why didn't his parents take him to Singapore? Did his parents go there first?" ask Laudya.

"Devi's parents both died in accidents" Alby replied.

Laudya covered her mouth with her hands in disbelief at what she had just heard.

"I didn't expect the story to be like this. It must have been very heavy for Devi. How could a teenage girl of her age have experienced something this painful?" laudya iba.

In Alby's heart he justifies Laudya's words but Laudya does not know the reality of what really happened with his parents Devi and Alby will not tell the secret to anyone including Devi herself.

"You want me to accompany her to take care of her brother, right?" laudya asked who was answered nod by Alby.

"All right, I want to. When do you leave by? I have to cancel some of my shooting schedules first."

"Tomorrow. The passport came out tomorrow, and I asked for help from the insiders to quickly be."

Laudya nodded in understanding. He looked at Alby who seemed very worried and concerned about Devi. Maybe it's because Alby thinks of Devi as his own younger sibling. Laudya tries to encourage herself and not think negatively about Alby and Devi's relationship.

Without them knowing, there was Jessica back there who heard all the words of Alby and Laudya. Jessica who was initially relaxing on an unused sofa was surprised by the presence of her brother and Alby immediately decided to hide.

As soon as she heard the fact that came out of Alby's lips, Jessica smiled triumphantly. Now he knows Devi's biggest secret. Devi is not the younger sister of doctor Alby and now Devi's older sister is dying overseas.

Devi is in the cafeteria with Arin and Gara. For two days now Devi was silent and reluctant to eat her food. Devi looked pale and moody, of course it made her two best friends look worried. Even Alby to ask for help to Arin and Gara to watch over Devi and take care of her because lately Devi really became quiet and not as usual. Alby also asks Gara and Arin to get rid of sharp objects from Devi's reach, fearing that at any time the effects of amnesia and his past trauma would make him think of ending his life.

Gara and Arin looked at Devi. They already know about Sean's condition.

"What do you want to eat let me buy" asked Gara softly.

"I'm not hungry" said Devi.

"You should eat. You can't be like this. Look now! You've been on hunger strike for two days but your body's been malnourished for years. You have to look healthy and vibrant in front of your brother. You don't want to make your brother worry, do you?" asked Arin and Devi shook her head in response.

"I don't want Sean's brother to worry about me. I want Sean to only remember the memories I made over the next twenty-three days with a happy laugh" Devi said with tears in her eyes.

"Don't cry, you make me sad" Arin said, wiping Devi's tears.

"Then you wait here just let me and Arin order food for you," said Gara, who is possessed by Devi.

Gara and Arin go to order food, leaving Devi, who looks sad alone.

Rea who saw that was eager to get closer to Devi and comfort Devi. He felt sorry to see Devi like that, but he could not walk closer to Devi because he himself refused the invitation of friendship that Devi expressed to him the other day. Besides, if he got closer to Devi now, Devi would have thought nothing of him. As a result Rea only dared to observe Devi from afar.

Devi turned her head to look at someone who had just knocked on her desk. There was already Jessica and some friends who were ready to execute him.

"Hi liar," said jessica while laughing disparagingly. "Who was the victim of your lie about you being Doctor Alby's sister? Is the whole hospital a victim of your lies oh is this whole school your victim too?" jessica asked in a very annoying tone.

Devi chose not to respond and threw a sideways direction so as not to face Jessica. For now Devi does not want to argue or defend herself against Jessica. He was sad right now and his mood was not good so he let Jessica talk as she wanted.

"Both of your parents died in an accident, right? And now your only brother is suffering from heart angiosarcoma and his life will not be long either. Your brother's gonna go after your parents, why don't you come?" jessica's hiss is right in front of Devi's ears.

"People like you don't deserve to feel happy. Just look now, one by one the people around you are leaving you and I'm sure that soon Doctor Alby will be leaving you too" Jessica said, adding.

"If I were you I'd rather die hahaha" chimpanzee Clara was chirped with laughter by the others.

"If you want to go to Singapore, go alone don't ask my brother to accompany you. You think my sister the babysitter assigned to babysit sucks like you? Why don't you ask your brother Alby to drive you?" ask Jessica by emphasizing the word 'sister' at the end of the sentence.

Devi just silently flinched while squeezing her gray skirt trying to hold back her anger. Her body felt powerless just to give her a punch and a jayak in Jessica's hair.

"What are you doing here?!" sis Gara who had just arrived coldly.

"Yes! What did you do to Devi?!!" arin was angry.

"I didn't do anything, I just saw him introspection. Let's get out of here before my body gets itchy because there's a lot of bugs in here" Jessica asked her friends.

"Just go before I break your neck!!!" reply Arin.

"Dev you're okay? What did Jessica say to you? Did he hurt you?" ask Gara to worry.

"You just tell us. What did that witch do to you?" tymphal Arin.

"none. Bring me the food, I'm hungry" Devi replied as she picked up the food in Gara's hands.

"Are you really okay?" ask Arin worried.

"I'm fine Arin, don't overdo it. I'm not a baby" Devi said with a slightly forced laugh.

"Then eat. It's a drink" Gara said gently as she offered the drink to Devi.

"Thank you" Devi said with a smile.

Devi ate the food by holding back her tears even her tears had escaped down her cheeks. Arin who sees this intends to ask Devi but Gara immediately gives a code to keep quiet and let Devi for a while.

"I just want to quickly meet with Sean's brother. That's it, even Jessica's words are nothing with the fear of losing Sean's brother" Devi said, wiping away her tears.

Arin who heard it also now joined in crying and hugged Devi from the side. Now Gara also rose closer to Devi and joined Devi from the side opposite Arin.

"Son's brother will be fine. Brother Sean will heal," Gara said gently as she rubbed the top of Devi's head gently.

Now the three of them no longer care about the situation of the canteen that noticed them and it also did not escape the attention of Rea. Rea let out a slow sigh before he finally decided to get out of the canteen.

"But Alby said, brother Sean can only last for twenty-three days," said Devi.

"Om Alby is just a doctor, he's not God. You just pray that God will do wonders for Sean's brother" said Gara.
