Doctor Alby Pujaan Hati

Doctor Alby Pujaan Hati
Pradana Residence

As said by Alby, today Devi was allowed to go home with a note of three more days he had to return to the hospital to remove the seams.

Along the way Devi just silence and observe the passing of the vehicle that is on his left. Not infrequently also he fell asleep along the journey because the distance they traveled was quite far from the city.

Now they arrived at a road that was quite quiet with roads that were still made of soil and not yet on asphalt. Around the road is still beautiful and surrounded by a vast expanse of tea gardens that look green.

"Om where are we going?" tanya Devi woke up from her sleep.

"Go home" Alby answered briefly.

"But isn't this a long way from my school? What if I'm late for school?"

"For a while we stayed here until your condition completely recovered and I've applied for a leave of absence for you. So once our apartment is liveable and you're healed we'll go back to town and you can go to school as usual" explained Alby.

"What about Alby? Wouldn't it be very far if Alby had to go back and forth to the hospital?"

"We'll talk later at home. Now you open the window quickly," Alby ordered.

"Why?" confused Devi but he obeys Alby's orders.

As soon as the windshield opens, Devi can feel the cool air entering her car. Slowly he slightly popped his head and enjoyed the cool breeze that swept across his face.

"How's it?" ask Alby.

"I love it, it's so cool and fresh. Unlike in the city," Devi replied without looking at Alby.

"Thank God you like it" said Alby.

Alby deliberately chose a place far from the city and still beautiful like this to help Devi a little cope with stress and depression. In addition, in this place there is his small studio that he used to paint, as Raka said one way to control Devi's emotions is to paint. After all, doesn't Devi also like to paint? He took up extracurricular painting at his school.

As soon as they crossed a forked road, Devi felt familiar with the road as if she had crossed it.

"Om if we turn there, where are we going?" devi asked pointing at the path she was referring to.

"To forests. You don't get there, there are a lot of wild and dangerous animals," said Alby, who was taken in by Devi.

Devi can see the change in the look on Alby's face as soon as he asks about the road but Devi does not want to take a headache and again enjoy the cool air of the village.

After passing through the winding streets and filled with tea and vegetable gardens along the way, they also arrived at a large house surrounded by mountains and in front of it there is a clear river flow.

"Whoah! Whose house is this? Very good," said Devi amazed.

"My house. Let's go down" replied Alby as he got out of the car leaving Devi who was still gaping not to believe Alby's answer.

Devi gets out of the car and observes the surroundings while Alby lowers the suitcase from the trunk of the car.

A man of Devi's age walks up to Alby to help Alby lift the suitcase.

"Let me just bring den."

Alby agreed and walked over to Devi who was still amazed by the scenery in front of him.

"Let's go in first, father and mother are waiting," Alby invited with Devi's beloved doll in his hand.

"Mother's dad?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"So there's both Alby's parents in the house?" devi asked in surprise.

"of course. This house isn't really mine but my mother's father's. Come on in, they've been waiting a long time" Alby took Devi's hand and led her into the house.

"I'm scared" Devi's great-grandson.

"It's okay. They're not gonna eat you, there's me anyway."

Once inside the house, Devi was immediately treated to the interior of the building is simple but elegant and looks natural blend with nature. It fits perfectly with the amazing view around.

Devi's gaze stopped once she saw a family photo hanging sweetly on the wall of the living room.

"Our parents are Alby's doctors all?" tanya Devi was amazed.

"Yes. The surgeon's father and the anesthesiologist's mother."

"Woah cool," praised Devi without taking away her admiration. "But om, the face of his father brother Alby is a little scary" whispered Devi who made Alby laugh.

"You must not arbitrarily judge people when you yourself do not know them. Let's go find the creepy guy" Alby laughed.

Devi scratched her non-itchy nape in embarrassment. How can he judge a person by just a picture!

"Sep, where's mom and dad?" alby asked one of his housekeepers, Asep.

"Master has just returned home, probably now in the back garden with the mistress," Asep replied politely, even Asep also nodded his head politely towards Devi as a greeting.

Alby and Devi walk to the park behind the house. There Devi saw a man who was quite old standing up and looking at her with a smile on his face. Without even asking Devi knew it was Alby's father.

"Hows it? Scary no?" alby whispered to Devi which made Devi smile awkwardly.

"Have you come?" ask Abhimanyu as Alby's father.

"Yes yeah. Where's mom?" asked Alby to hug his father followed by Devi who slightly bent her body to say hello.

"Mother is here!" said a woman as she waved her hand at Alby.

"Well, look who is this?" ishwari asked happily while holding Devi's hands together.

Alby knew what Devi was feeling. As a PTSD sufferer, Devi must have felt a little scared when she saw the stranger she first met.

"Dev, it's okay. It's my mom and dad" said Alby holding Devi's soft shoulder.

Abhimanyu who realized this also asked his wife to release her hand to Devi.

"Ah sorry, auntie didn't mean-"

"It's okay aunt." As soon as Ishwari releases her hand, Devi clasps Ishwari's hand with a sweet smile.

"Are you not afraid of aunty?" ask Ishwari.

"No, same om also not afraid," replied Devi smiling widely. Devi is not a real PTSD sufferer, just seeing how dignified and charismatic an Ishwari makes Devi a little shy and scared.

"Ah really? Didn't you say my dad was creepy?" alby asked which made Devi glare sharply at him.

"No! What is Alby talking about?! When did I say that?!!" devi protests.

Abhimanyu and Ishwari looked a little surprised upon hearing the call Devi had used on Alby. Isn't 'om' too old for Alby?

"Dad, I have something I want to talk to you about. Dev you just go around the house later I'll catch up with you. If there's anything, call me right away. This brings all your Totom," Alby said as he handed Devi's doll and phone that turned out to be back.

Devi nodded and retreated.

Alby and his parents are in the garden behind his house. They choose to sit in a chair complete with a wooden table that is available there.

"I want Devi to stay here for a while" Alby said.

Alby had previously told his parents about Devi who would stay at his house for a while until Devi's psychic condition improved and both parents did not mind it either. But there are some things Alby hasn't told his parents and Alby will say them now.

"Dad and mom know what happened in my apartment?" tanya Alby is possessed by both Abhimanyu and Ishwari.

"Mom knows, the attack appeared everywhere even the news on TV also broadcast the attack. Then how now? Will the perpetrator be punished severely?" ask Ishwari worriedly.

"Not yet to know, Devi could not be questioned. He was so scared when he met a stranger that I asked the police to give Devi time" Alby said.

"Is there no other way?" ask Ishwari. "Mom can't calm down if the culprit hasn't been punished properly."

"We wait until Devi recovers and is not afraid to meet strangers. And for that long I want Devi to stay here with you. I'm not calm leaving Devi alone. After all, the atmosphere here is very suitable for healing" said Alby.

"Dad doesn't matter, but what I'm troubled about now is why did you move the department without discussing with us? You've worked so hard to become a digestive surgeon but why get down to being a perceptor in IGD?" abhimanyu asked confused by Alby's thoughts.

"That's because there's a koas doctor who has Devi's killing intent. I have to control it and keep it as busy as possible so that he does not have time to harm Devi" Alby replied honestly but still Alby covered up about the origin of Raden's revenge on Devi. He could not let his parents know that fact.

"Ap..what? So it's all because of Devi? You're willing to go down as a perceptor just for Devi?" ishwari was surprised.

"Yes ma'am."

"Why??"

"Because it's Alby's responsibility to look after Devi. Alby had promised Sean to protect his little sister and Alby had to keep it, ma'am" replied Alby.

In contrast to Abhimanyu, Ishwari seems a little objected to Alby's answer which again was all because it protected Devi.

"You also know that protecting Devi means you have to be ready to take all the risks?" ask Abhimanyu.

"What do you mean, baby?" ishwari is confused.

"Devi is surrounded by bad people who can harm him at any time and because Alby chose to protect Devi then it's Alby's risk if he goes to harm," Abhimanyu said staring at Alby inside.

"Alby is ready to accept all the risks," replied Alby steadily and without a second thought.

"But the mother objected! I don't want you to go to any harm just for protecting Devi Alby!"

"Mom, this isn't just Devi. But it has to do with life. Wasn't the mother a doctor who was also fighting to save someone's life? I'll take it easy, I'll take care of myself and I'll make sure I'm okay. After all, didn't you look very enthusiastic about Devi's arrival? Why did it go like this?" syndicate Alby.

"Mom does love it because I don't have a daughter, but I don't want Devi to put you in danger either. You're the only son Alby's mother has."

"Alby knew, but Alby had gone too far and now there was no way back other than to continue the message Sean gave me. Devi lives a lonely life and no one protects her, her parents died five years ago and her brother also recently died of angiosarcoma of the heart. Can you let her live alone?"

Ishwari was silent and seemed to be thinking hard. He was pitying Devi's circumstances but he didn't want his favorite son in danger.

"Dad doesn't matter. You're an adult so I'm sure you already know what's good for you and what's not" Albimanyu said, smiling.

"Thank you, yeah. Then what about mom?" ask Alby.

Ishwari exhaled slowly before finally nodding in agreement to Alby.

"Thank you ma'am" said Alby happily.

"But you have to promise mom, you must not be harmed or hurt by a fingertip," said Ishwari, who was adopted by Alby.

"Now is the time for punishment" Abhimanyu said.

"What?"

"You've moved departments recklessly! You think dad will just shut up?! You must be punished so as not to be careless, the mind is your own life not ours" Abhimanyu said. "Hurry and change your clothes and come down and see me!"

"Honey, Alby just arrived he must be exhausted. Let's talk about the punishment tomorrow, shall we?" bejuk Ishwari's.

"I don't accept objections. Get changed!"

Alby nodded his head at his father's orders.

"Mom will definitely love Devi. She is very similar to Icha" whispered Alby as she kissed Ishwari's cheek before she passed away to change.

Ishwari silently sculpted. His heart was fluttering amazingly. Now he knows why Alby is so desperate to protect Devi. Protecting Devi is Alby's form of compensation against Icha.
