Remembering the Past

Zen held the head. An overwhelming sense of dizzy approached him. He did not know why his body was like this. Though at first he felt that the family meeting was not too tiring. There are not many activities that he does either. Then why suddenly his head feels very dizzy even his eyes are now twitching.

"Maybe just tired." Zen tried to think of the best possibility. He would not have thought that there was a possibility of poisoning him in this matter. It is not impossible if it can happen to him. He knew that there were many outsiders hostile to him.

As the son of one of the successful entrepreneurs in their city, his father has many business rivals out there. That is why it is natural that there are many people who might do extreme actions such as poisoning or killing them in various ways.

"And until now you haven't even been married?"

The most painful words that came out of his father's mouth seemed to continue to reverberate in his head even today. Zen remembers very well how his past was only to get a position as CEO of the Sanjaya Group company. The requirement that he thought was very unreasonable just because the father who was none other than Agung Sanjaya obeyed the words of his second wife after his first wife died.

"What kind of requirement is that? It doesn't make sense that the ability to lead a company is related to married life," replied Zen at that time who did not accept at all the decision and attitude of his father who changed after marrying Luciani who is now Zen's stepmother. Since becoming a stepmother, her name has become Luciani Sanjaya.

"It's precisely because you've never led, at least one woman that worries me." His father was still looking for excuses that made those requirements seem reasonable. However forced, it still cannot. Zen still felt that it was ridiculous and that it was impossible for him to do so. But the appeal of Luciani is much stronger than him, even though he is the biological child of Agung Sanjaya. Love can indeed make anyone go crazy, including his father who now does not care about the legitimate heirs in their family.

"Do I have to do all those silly things. Without even being asked, everyone already knows that I am the rightful heir of everything you own, including that company." Zen was inexhaustible.

The great turned to look at him. Even Zen would have never thought that his father would look at him like that.

"As far as you are. You can decide whatever you want. You can take my place in Sanjaya Group only when you get married."

And at the end of the day, he was forced to break off a contract marriage with someone just to meet that requirement. He decided to marry a beautiful girl who was in need of money. Too messy because he never intended to get married.

Their relationship was official state-by-state, but the next day he divorced the girl.

"Take all the money you need. Whatever the amount. You can take as much as you want. For sure now, we don't have any relationship anymore." That's what he said to the girl after deciding to divorce. He gave her a sum of money which of course was worth not a little because the girl did need a lot. And again, Zen had not touched her at all for a day of being a wife.

"Do you feel no loss at all. You didn't even touch me and you ventured to give me this much money" said the girl, who was still very hesitant when she left so soon. He felt that Zen was not trying to gain any advantage in their marriage because he himself did not know about Zen's personal problems with his father.

"No, not at all. Thank you for doing this for me. You can go wherever you want. If you want me to buy you a house, that's fine, too."

The girl hurriedly shook her head. He refused because he felt that the money given by Zen was more than enough to survive or also to be used as business capital.

"No, I don't need anything anymore. This is more than enough. I might be able to buy a mini house with some of this money."

Zen also nodded. And that was the last time she saw the girl's face before they officially divorced. He's already arranged everything. If you need to pay a lot of people just to validate the divorce status.

Zen thought that was the end of everything. He thought that after this he had won the position of CEO in their company. Her stepbrother is now engaged to her lover and is not married.

However, it turned out that the problem was not as simple as he thought. He only realized that this problem was much more complicated than previously thought. After she successfully married until divorce, Luci who is none other than her stepmother now urges her to get married again with the son of a businessman. And one can guess that this is the reason for business.

"You're not gonna miss this opportunity, are you? Marrying him can even strengthen your father's business relationship with his father. As a businessman, you must already know something that we commonly refer to as strategy. And it has a broad meaning. We can do it from all sides, including from personal life such as marriage. I'm sure you'll fit in with him too."

Zen felt very sick of hearing whatever Luci said. Everything looks so ridiculous. Perhaps these thoughts are what easily make him feel dizzy easily. Even just by having family meetings that are not too crowded can make his body dazed.

Zen took the hotel room key in his shirt pocket. The room was paid for by his family from the beginning. He is still trying to hold back. The stabbing feeling increasingly attacked his head. He tried to hold the doorknob of the hotel room, turning the key until the door opened.

He went into the room and broke down. Zen let out a long breath. Let him rest for today. Just remembering all the past is enough to make him tired and stressed like this. He does not yet know what his fate will be like in the future.

However, his father has not yet made a decision on who will replace him as CEO of Sanjaya Group. And Zen did not understand at all why in this case he could not think of the best possibility at all. He knew that his stepmother would do various ways so that the position and leadership of the company fell into the hands of his half-brother. Hopefully, the father can still think clearly to decide something as important as this.
