Dusk Substitute

Dusk Substitute
Three Brothers

ZAIN POV

With a steady step, I stepped into the tall building that belonged to my family. The building was so tall, it was as if its height wanted to reach the sky. As tall as this building, as high as that success has been achieved by my family. The skyscrapers that line up show how successful my family is. But success is never perfect, when happy is only half that feels. Nothing is complete in perfect happiness me and papa. Although there was mama Alvira who gave birth to me, but there was no figure that I missed so much. A mother that I love, until my miss seems to kill me. The mother I admired, because of her warmth that made me feel comfortable and strong. When I was weak and humiliated with their one-eye gaze.

Decades of this longing has plagued the quiet in my life. Looking but not finding, the reason I started to get tired in the search. I finally decided to get up, for the sake of what was left. I learned and learned, I was determined to be successful. So that one day, when he comes back, the first proud look I'll see. But my hope was dashed, when the glad tidings of his coming reached my ears. Yet it was not the proud look I saw, the rejection and coldness I received. My longing is no longer warm, it is getting painful. When I saw her figure in front of my eyes. But it felt far away, until my hand was unable to reach it.

I'm devastated to see the show, but I'm happy my wait is over. The face I miss so much is back. I rediscovered my reason, to smile and look up at the sky. I'm determined to rediscover the heat. I will melt the cold, so that the heat is back in my life. Until finally, my efforts were answered with a helping hand. I have every right to call her mama, the mother who once gave warm in my frail childhood. The mother I love, more than my own mother.

My happiness was more complete, that afternoon I met someone who shook my heart. A graceful woman with a veil attached to her face. It worships the natural beauty of its birth and inner being. The veiled woman that shook my heart, disturbed my maleness. The woman who was staring at the tall building that belonged to my family. I finally followed in his footsteps, without the slightest hint of him realizing I was coming. I watched him from afar, until he finally met the man I called papa. Long story short, he had a disagreement with papa. I'm afraid I can't find him. I racked my brain, looking for a reason to keep him by my side. I'm offering you a job at the company I lead. Again and again he refused, until finally a secret was revealed. It turns out she's not the woman I deserve to love. He's my brother I never knew. For a moment I felt love, in an instant I felt the pain of a broken heart. But my sadness is no longer meaningful, considering she's the only reason I can be close to Nissa's mom.

After many days I searched for the meaning of this taste. Now I have found a love that I must hold fast to. A brother's sincere love for his sister. The love that now gives me the right to protect my two twin sisters. The same taste, but it has different meanings. Now Zain Al Ghifarri is not an ordinary man, he is the brother of two beautiful angels. Little brother I never knew, but now they're the reason I'm happy to be a sister.

ZAIN POV END'S

"You're my sister, this feeling is just the love of a sister. It will never be more!" Zain said softly, almost inaudible. Zain's gaze was straight towards Aira. The woman he had admired, but now Aira was just a little sister.

"Sister!" Shouting Hana, Aira turned towards Hana. Her little sister is chatty and jolly. Two lamps of Nissa's heart, the fruit of her love with Radit. Sincere love lost by the ego of a radit big family.

"What are you doing here?" Aira said, Hana was smiling. Hana tightly hugged the body of Aira, the sister she loved so much. Although sometimes Aira's cold attitude becomes a real distance between the two of them. But Hana's warm attitude, making the distance was never felt.

"I have a meeting with them!" Hana said, Aira nodded slowly.

Aira eventually remains an intern at Radit's company. If Aira refuses, then Air must sincerely fail in the final semester. Therefore, despite being forced, Aira still works at Radit company. Similarly, Hana, he could not cancel the cooperation with Radit company. Nissa's two daughters are caught up in their own plans. Desire to go far from Radit's life. They are getting closer to Radit.

"Then go, after the new meeting we meet. I have to finish this. Once all is done, we go on a pilgrimage to the graves of grandparents!"

"All right, brother, I'm leaving now!" Hana said, Aira nodded slowly.

"Hana, we go together!"

"Mr Zain!" Hana said, Aira immediately lowered her head. Aira turned her eyes away, hoping that Zain would not look at her.

"Hana, I'm your brother not someone else!" Zain said, Hana nodded slowly.

"It takes time for me to admit you!" Hana said, then left. Aira held Hana's hand, Aira's head. A gesture for Hana, not to be so rude to Zain.

"Hana, remember what Mom said. We need to learn to appreciate them. He's our big brother, anyway? Be polite, so that you don't get blamed for your disrespect!"

"Aira, thank you!" Zain said, Aira shook her head slowly.

"No need, Hana and I should be nice to you. At least, until my last day in the country!" Said Aira, Hana nodded slowly.

"Last day, what do you mean?" Zain said, Aira still did not answer. Zain was astonished by Aira's attitude. Sometimes warm, but when cold can freeze in an instant.

"Hana, go to the meeting room. An entrepreneur must be on time. When we are finished, we meet. Later tonight, we have to have dinner with papa!"

"I'm not coming!" Hana's voice was firm, Aira shook her head.

"You should come, it's just dinner. My mother asked us to come. For mama's sake, we need to see papa!" Said Aira, Hana did not make a sound. From the beginning, he was very unwilling to know Radit.

"Then we go home together!" Zain said, Hana immediately turned to look at Zain.

"Where to? Whose house will accept me? The house that threw away the mother who gave birth to me. The house that bears witness to my mother's tears. The house where his mother married his father. The house where my mom received talak. A cold house without a heart. A house that only holds sorrow. A house that scares me of trauma. I remember my mom's tears at the time. Fresh blood came out of my lips, because I bit him. The blood that replaced my mother's cries, so I wouldn't hear her hurt. I may be very small, but I remember it clearly. The sound of laughter in the house, the laughter that felt painful in the heart of the mother. Aira's lucky to have never experienced any of that. Unlike me, hearing the house called my blood boiling. Now you want me to go there, meet the woman who hurt you!"

"Hana's enough!"

"So Aira defended them, she's the one who hurt my mom!"

"Aira, she's the mother of your sister Zain. At least appreciate her existence, she was also hurt by the separation of her two parents!"

"So big brother!" Hana said with emotion, then went to the meeting room.

"Mir!" Zain said, his voice held back when he saw Aira stop him.

"I defend you, not because of you or want to know you. I don't want my sister to hold onto hatred for the rest of her life, nothing more!" Said Aira coldly.

"If you weren't my sister!" Inner Zain pilu.
