Selena is looking forward to seeing Brandon and showing him that their baby is healthy. He continued to rub his stomach while inviting his son's communication. “You will soon see Daddy, dear, maybe the place to meet us is not good to hear. But, believe me, your Daddy is struggling to give you a better life.”
As if understanding Selena's words, the baby inside her stomach suddenly kicked. He looked back when he heard footsteps. Smile immediately when you see there is someone who has been waiting for you to walk towards him.
“That's your Daddy, don't ever be shy about having the parents of an ex-addict, okay? At least he always tries his best for you.” Selena is always building emotional closeness by inviting communication.
Although this is only the first time they will meet face to face in the condition of Selena's stomach is already large, but it seems that the child has often been told about Brandon Brooks. So that he kicked his stomach like he could not wait to meet.
One of the medical team sat Brandon in a chair and faced Selena. “Master and Miss, I stay inside. Your time is only one hour,” the part.
Selena nodded along with a sweet smile. “Thank you, I'll make good use of the sixty minutes you gave me.”
The medical team swung their legs away from Brandon and Selena. In the park there are two of them left.
Silence, no chatter at all. Selena just smiled at Brandon. But, the longer it actually faded because the man was silent and did not respond to anything.
Brandon just looked at Selena flat, from the top to the woman's distended belly.
“This is our son, are you not happy to see us coming to visit?” Selena started the conversation.
“Senice.” Brandon replied flatly and there was no expression whatsoever.
“Because I'm ashamed of you guys having to come to the rehabilitation center, the place of human sinners.” Brandon lowered his head, but in his heart was happy because finally there was a person who cared so much even to be willing to visit there. His parents never showed him the nose in front of him after getting into his place where drug addicts struggle to heal.
Selena stood up, changed her seat to move beside Brandon. “Why should I be ashamed? Isn't your intention to escape from the forbidden medicine? It's not something to be ashamed of.”
Selena grabbed Brandon's slightly thin hands, probably eating less. Directing the man to touch his stomach. “The age is eight months over five days.”
Brandon unconsciously shed tears when he felt a kick from inside. “He moves, does it hurt?”
“Significantly our son is active and healthy, I feel no pain, he seems happy to meet his Daddy,” explained Selena while moving Brandon's hand to wipe all the distended parts.
Slowly the two corners of Brandon's lips lifted to form a perfect smile. “About, when was this child born?”
“Maybe three or four more weeks.”
At that instant Brandon's face turned grim, pulled his hand and stopped rubbing. “It looks like I haven't come out of here, and can't keep you company giving birth.” He looked down lethargic, feeling the most useless man. “Even I wasn't there every second you went through pregnancy.”
Brandon is in a state of lack of confidence. It is natural for those who are going through a healing phase. So, in the rehabilitation process there are stages where patients are formed to build a positive mental until ready to face the outside world again.
