“I'm real, you know,” said Juhyun while observing the big dots that arrive in the glass to be immediately removed by the wipers. The corner of the window beside him was thickly dewy due to the car coolant he was pointing at carelessly. “If you're sleepy, we can take turns.” Juhyun made sure again that the clock in the car was not wrong, 4:58 am, by looking at his watch.
“Still strong, really, just relax.” Junmyeon rubbed his face, he drove very slowly, his lips twisting a smile. “Tomorrow, ‘kan?”
“About half an hour.”
“What would your family say if you were the one driving?”
Juhyun laughed a little. “They never mind who drives whom. What's the problem of women driving a man she wants to introduce?”
Junmyeon was still smiling. Juhyun replied to him, then he leaned against the window. Observing the points that started to shrink, the further they traveled the distance, the more silent they became.
Twenty minutes later, the trail of rain was no longer there except in the body of their car. Then the sky turned a little reddish in the direction they were heading towards. Juhyun opened the window, sniffing the fresh scent of dew and the remnants of rain carried away from afar. Junmyeon seemed to notice it, then pulled over.
Juhyun understood when Junmyeon came out and walked towards the boundary between the asphalt and the roadside grass. He followed, standing beside him and observing the reddish color that slowly continued to creep replacing the blackish blue on it.
Junmyeon grabbed his hand, clasped it, looked into his eyes.
“My family will be very happy to meet you.”
“I'm a little nervous.”
“Come on, they will be very happy, on a sunny morning, to be reunited with the same bright person.”
Junmyeon laughs.
Wendy repeatedly up and down her phone that has been fitted with a simple telescope. Many times also his mouth formed the letter ‘O’ without sound. Chanyeol watched him cross-legged, leaning against the building's sparkling hallows due to the ambient light, including the full light. Chanyeol smiled, Wendy did not notice.
Chanyeol still smiled. “Try to take a photo.”
Wendy pressed the portrait button on her screen several times. The moon looks full and rough on the screen of his phone, looked at for a long time as if he had just found the moon in his life.
“You want me to take a photo?”
“Oh, can!” Wendy sounds enthusiastic and happy. He kept his phone away a little, positioning himself close to the moon. “Pas, no?” his index finger pointed at the moon to Chanyeol who retreated away to calculate the right distance.
Chanyeol nodded, then took a photo several times. The moon seemed to fit right above Wendy's brightly smiling index finger. Then, the man lowered his phone, only staring at Wendy with an amazed and happy expression that had not changed from the start.
Wendy who had been posing was silent for a while, tilted her head. “Hey, I thought you were still taking photos?”
Chanyeol grinned, returned the words Wendy, “Good when viewed from here ...”
Wendy blinked, then ran towards the young man, hitting his arm slowly. “You are!”
“Finished ...” Chanyeol deliberately hung up her words, then she ruffled Wendy's hair slowly. “I ‘kan do not need any tools to see the beautiful ... already clearly visible in front of me.”
“Chanyeol-oppa!”
You left me.
Not realizing until I've said my final good-bye and closed the door behind me, that he's not referring to the past.
He's prophesying our future.
