The sound of the ICU monitor continued to be heard and broke the silence of a room inhabited by Lea. There were some scars on his face and body.

For several days he lay weak and unconscious in the room until finally a movement was seen on his fingers.

The movement was captured by a nurse who was standing guard in the room. He rushes to his colleagues and asks them to tell the doctor about Lea's current condition.

Not long after, the doctor arrived with several nurses. The doctor immediately checked Lea's condition and it turned out that the results were quite satisfactory. Lea was conscious and could communicate.

Lea looked around her and now realized that she was in a hospital room. He also tried to remember what caused him to fall into the room. Until finally the shadow of the tragic accident came back to his mind very clearly.

Lea was shocked. All he had in mind at that moment was Harris. He hopes his brother is okay.

"Dok, how's my sister? Is she okay?" lea asked so seriously looking at the Doctor who was busy checking his condition.

The doctor glanced at a nurse standing next to him. From the expression on her face at that time, Lea was sure that something was wrong, which was happening to her younger brother.

"Doc?" call Lea because the Doctor is still reluctant to answer questions from her.

The doctor exhaled heavily before he answered Lea's question just now.

"We would like to express our deepest condolences for your accident and we would like to apologize for not saving your brother's life," the doctor said with a sad face.

"What do you mean, Doctor?" lea's cry was so panicked after hearing the doctor's speech.

"Your brother breathed his last while on the way to this place. The severe injuries he had, made him lose a lot of blood and we did not have time to give him help" explained the doctor.

Lea shook her head. He could not believe what the doctor had just said.

"You don't joke, Doctor! My sister is fine. He must be waiting for me outside!"

Leah tried to get up from her position. However, he was detained by a nurse who was standing not far from his bed. They held back Lea's movements considering Lea's condition was still unstable.

"Please don't move much, Miss Lea. Your condition is still unstable" said one of the nurses who was holding Lea's hand.

"No, Sus. Let me go! I want to see my sister. I'm sure he's waiting for me outside!" Lea insisted on leaving the room.

"But, Miss Lea ...." The nurse was still trying to restrain Lea's movements.

Lea pulled her leg and wanted to get out of the bed. However, his action suddenly came to a halt when he sensed something strange on his legs.

"W-what happened to my leg?"

Lea looked at the nurses who were still trying to hold her body, one by one. The nurses put on sad faces as Lea looked at them. Lea became curious because the nurses and doctors in the room were silent and did not make a sound.

"Why are you guys quiet? I'm asking you guys, what happened to my leg?" This time Lea's tone of voice started to rise. He felt something wrong happen to his feet.

Lea who was unable to hold back her curiosity, immediately revealed the blanket that still covered her body, from the waist down. The nurses who were standing on Lea's left and right sides could do nothing but let Lea check on her condition.

"W-what happened to my leg, Doc?!" lea asked between her hysterical cries.

"Your legs are forced to have us amputated because the wound is too severe. Your leg bones are broken and can't be repaired anymore" explains Dr. Scholar.

"No! That's not possible! My leg ...."

Lea was crying hysterically. He screamed because he could not accept the harsh reality. The nurses and doctors tried to calm and reassure her that Lea was able to go through all the trials.

"Be patient, Miss Lea. Rest assured, that you are able to get through all this because God will not give trials that exceed the limits of the ability of his people."

After a while, Lea was finally able to calm down a bit. He took a deep breath and slowly exhaled.

"All right, now tell me the truth. Where's my sister?"

"We've put her in the morgue and just waited for your decision as her brother" replied the Doctor.

Lea's lips shook again. The clear circle again seeped quickly without being able to hold it. "Ja-so right, my sister's dead?" lea asked again in a stammer.

The doctor nodded slowly and looked at Lea with a sad face.

"Say that it's just a joke, Doctor! Tell me it's all just your joke!" lea said with half a shout.

"I'm sorry, Miss Lea."

Lea was crying hysterically. The strenuous ordeal he had to endure today completely destroyed himself unceasingly. In addition to losing her leg, she must also accept the harsh reality that her only sister has left her for all eternity.

"Harris! Why did you leave Brother so soon? Didn't you promise that you would never leave me? Then why are you denying it now?" lea shouted in between her sobs.

The doctor and the nurses just kept quiet and let Lea take out all the grunts that were in her heart at that moment.

After a few minutes later.

"I want to see it." Lea stopped her crying then looked at the nurses so seriously.

The nurses nodded their heads in agreement. "Alright, let us take you to the room."

After releasing some medical equipment attached to his body, the nurses immediately drove Lea to the mortuary. Where Harris's lifeless body was placed in the room.

Leah was already in that room. One of the nurses brought Harris' lifeless body before Lea. Lea who had tried to toughen up, now back weak and helpless when having to face the figure of his only sister who had been stretched stiff.

"Harris! Harris, wake! Brother please, don't leave Brother alone" Lea said between her cries.

After she finished saying that, Lea suddenly fainted from her pain and disappointment.

"Miss Lea! Miss Lea," call the nurse, try to resuscitate Lea.
