For A Husband Who Doesn't Love Me

For A Husband Who Doesn't Love Me
52. Rizki's Wedding

In the afternoon, Hidayat and Maira looked very tired when they reached the village where Rizki and her family lived. The longest employee wedding at his kiosk will be held tomorrow morning, but their stilt house that still looks solid has been crowded with neighbors.

In the yard of the house has stood tents under which have lined plastic chairs for guests and also a guarantee tent. While beside the house used the mothers to cook food for party banquets. Neighboring children enlivened the house, and young people were busy decorating the bridal room.

"Assynoltom..." Hidayat with Maira.

"Wa'alaikum hail..." Rizki and her family are so enthusiastic about welcoming them, because indeed they had previously come there in Rizki's engagement with his future wife.

"Come in, Nak Maira, Nak Hidayat..." Welcome Rizki's mother as she pulls Maira's arm proudly into their tiered home. "Rizki, prepare some warm water for your landlady, let Mom and Lela prepare a dish..."

"Not bother, Mom... Maira, if you take a shower, use cold water..." Maira said so well. They sat cross-legged on plastic woven folding mats that stretched out in the middle of the house whose walls were still wooden.

"Ah, don't bother, son... You guys have been bothered to come here, and I'm so happy... I feel happy because Rizki has a good landlady like Nak Hidayat and Nak Maira..." Said Rizki's mother with teary eyes.

"We are also very happy to get to know Rizki and her family, Mom... We're so close without feeling alien to each other..." Maira sounded sincere.

Rizki's mother nodded happily.

"Where's the father, ma'am?" Hidayat asked out of the wooden window that was still open behind him.

"So there's business to RT sir's house, soon to go home... He was also impatient waiting for the arrival of Nak Hidayat and Nak Maira..." Answer Rizki's mother.

After a casual chat, Maira and Hidayat cleaned up, and then they stepped into the crowd. Maira easily gets along well with the cook's mothers, while Hidayat helps the youths put up a tent that is still not standing.

Sometimes Hidayat watched his wife from a distance. She smiled, proud to see Maira so beautiful inside out. A friendly and sincere smile emanated from the aura of his wife's sweet face.

"Neng Maira won't run away, Yat..." Suddenly Rizki's brother comes teasing Hidayat.

"Eh, Bang Nasrul..." Hidayat grinned. He seemed to be trapped by a joke that was thrown by a man with a face almost like Rizki's. He looked down timidly because being caught red-handed often stole a glance at Maira.

"Emm, which kids, Bang?" Tanya Hidayat shifted her feelings.

"Go to MDA (Madrasah Diniyah Awaliyah)... At best, I just got home... They prayed magrib and isya worshipers in the mosque..." Answer Nasrul.

"Owh... MDA's on top of the mosque huh, Bang...?"

"Yes, right..."

"When I came here for the first time, I did not have time to pray in the mosque... The Maghrib will go there and pray..." Hidayat.

"By the way, Yat... Near the walk... Or if you want, just use your button motor..."

"No need, Bang... Just walk, we're going too crowded..." Reject Hidayat trying to equalize himself. Since he came, even the first time they were so glorified by the Rizki family.

***

The atmosphere of the house began to sound lonely. The house people are asleep, Rizki's parents live occasionally on guard because tomorrow is the wedding day of her youngest son. Hidayat laid his body among the other men in the middle of the house. They sleep with thick carpets and blankets.

Hidayat was so agitated. Not a cramped place or an uncomfortable bed, but the center of his mind was on his wife who was in the room with his wife Nasrul and their two children.

He got up slightly to look at Alan who was beside him. The employee seemed to be asleep. He nodded, then laid his body back.

His eyes are hard to shut. He did not understand himself, why he could be so agitated. Even though he was a bachelor, he did not even have a problem sleeping with friends who were single with him in the village.

"Anybody not asleep?" Ask Maira without a sound. He only moved his lips, but Hidayat could understand his words.

Hidayat shook his head. His reddened eyes explained that he was very tired and sleepy.

"Sleep... Maira will accompany..." Maira said again.

Hidayat nodded. He pulled the blanket over all his body. At least tonight he could see his wife's face, even though he could not sleep next to her.

At dawn Hidayat woke up. Some people are no longer in their position. He rushed to find his phone. It turned out that he could fall asleep all night because there was Maira who accompanied him behind the scenes.

"Abang is awake apparently..." Maira whispered a little, considering the still dark atmosphere out there. She approached Hidayat's position, then folded her husband's blanket. "Anything want to take a shower? Or go straight to the mosque..."

"Cold, Honey... Just go to the mosque..." Answer Hidayat on the sidelines yawning.

"Yes, I'm ready now... Rizki and the others are still alternating in the back bathroom... Brother take ablution in the mosque toilet only... Maira get me a soap bag first..."

Time keeps going. The large family of employees seemed busy preparing everything for Rizki's wedding held at the mosque.

The wedding went well and solemnly. At the mosque was only attended by Rizki's nuclear family and his wife, also by Maira and Hidayat and other kiosk employees who attended there.

The event continues at the park. The guests began to come back and forth. Experiencing and taking pictures with both brides.

"Oh yes, Ki... This is a gift from Arya and Kirana... They must have called you, right?" Hidayat offered a gift to Rizki.

"Yes, Bang... Two days ago bang Arya called. I pray that Kirana's birth goes well." Rizki.

"Aamiin..."

The night they gathered together, only Rizki was not seen the trunk of his nose, because tonight he was in the family residence of his wife.

"Thank you Nak Hidayat until this moment is still willing to hire Rizki at the place of Nak Hidayat and Nak Maira..." Said Rizki's father with sparkling eyes.

"Rizki good youth, honest and trustworthy, Dad... The late bang Ajiz who had hired him first..." Reply Hidayat tried to humble himself.

"Yes... Great service of the deceased, and still there are services nak Hidayat... We used to be hard... I'm so grateful that Rizki could have a pretty big wedding like this... In the past when Nasrul's wedding, we were only able to hold small thanks..." His mother Rizki said.

"That's because Rizki is good at managing her finances, Mom..." Maira.

"Yes, Son... He's the one that's... He helped renovate the house little by little. This wedding event is also his money, he's collected for the last seven years. Since he worked with the late Ajiz... Yes, indeed that time was used when he stopped working because the kiosk of the late Ajiz fire..." Mother's Stories.

Hidayat and Maira looked at each other. There is a longing to look around, down the space of their hearts.
