For A Husband Who Doesn't Love Me

For A Husband Who Doesn't Love Me
06. Weddings

On the set, Kirana was staring at Arya from a distance. His face looked nervous and irritated. He was struck by doubt as his feet began to step closer.

"Sounds you have something to say..." Arya said.

"Huh?" Kirana shivers. He was increasingly made nervous by Arya's indifference, as if something had happened between them before. But no one knows, even though they are often betrothed by their fans, it turns out they were originally so awkward with each other.

"I, emmm.. Can I ask you something?"

"What's that?"

"On the day of Hidayat's wedding, um..."

"Why?" Arya started to look at Kirana, waiting for the girl to convey her meaning.

"Can I come with you to attend?"

"Come?" Arya's eyebrows shot up, she looks confused at Kirana's request.

"When Zahra died, I did not have time to worship. And for Hidayat's wedding, I'd love to be able to attend." Kirana was hesitant.

Arya seemed to think for a moment, "alright... Find a friend, I can't take you alone. You can use your car, then let the Hidayat employees drive."

Kirana's eyes sparkled hearing Arya's words. He started smiling happily, then nodded quickly. "Thank you, Ar..."

"But where do you know that Hidayat is getting married?" Tanya Arya makes Kirana flutter.

"ee... Me, I know from him alone... Last time we shared the news..." Kirana again looked nervous.

"Owh..." Arya nodded.

"Yes... Don't forget to tell me, will you?" Pinta Kirana is hoping.

"okay... You just wait..."

Kirana turned around quickly. His heart was racing after speaking seriously with Arya. In the filming scene, they weren't that strange, but I don't know what happened in their real lives.

Time went on without waiting for Hidayat to be ready, and I don't know when he will be ready when his heart is still attached to the figure of Kirana Adila.

Khumaira Fatimah, the sister of her late sister-in-law, really could not knock her heart out. He could not even consider Maira another woman, a woman he could make a companion to life.

A simple marriage will be held at the residence of Mr. Darussalam Muhammad, his father Maira. It has been crowded with families on both sides, as well as relatives and guests.

Ijab coming out of the middle-aged man's mouth in front of him awaits the kabul from his mouth. Hidayat's chest began to tighten, his body suddenly trembling. Cold sweat was already pouring down his forehead.

He took a heavy and long breath, then...

"I accept the marriage and marriage of Khumaira Fatimah bint Darussalam Muhammad with the dowry of a set of prayer tools, cash..."

Hidayat's tears just flowed. There was a strange feeling lodged within his chest. He lifted his face, and suddenly he shook his head. It all started to feel heavy when he realized there was Kirana in front of him, looking at him with tears and a face that explained the disappointment from his heart.

There was nothing he could do but just return Kirana's gaze wryly.

"I'm sorry, Kirana... Excuse me... I'm sorry I couldn't keep the promise I made..."

A warm hug came from his mother, "Thank you, son..."

Hidayat is getting fuller. His mother whispered as if slapping her feelings hard. Not necessarily a mother says thank you when her request is fulfilled, but she also cannot lie that she was forced to do so.

Maira stretched out her hand, and with a heavy heart Hidayat welcomed the hand of the wife he had just married.

After the sacred event, Arya approached Hidayat and Maira. He invited the two brides to take a picture together. Many times Hidayat forced himself to smile and be happy on his own wedding day.

"May sakinah mawadah warahmah, yes, Yat..." Said Arya who did not understand Hidayat's feelings at all.

Hidayat nodded, again smiling stiffly. "When will we catch up?"

"Dude..." Hidayat.

Arya laughed, "really, Yat... That's close, Maira. But even first you..."

"Did you like Maira? Why don't you just marry her?" Hidayat's words sounded sniffling.

Maira who was not far away with them immediately turned to Hidayat. He looked very surprised and sad to hear the words of the man who had just married him.

"You angry, Yat?" Arya was tense.

A few moments later, Hidayat laughed. "Handering, Bang... Isn't Maira like a sister to you, huh?"

"I hope you fulfill your last promise, Yat..." A short message was exposed on his phone screen.

"I promise, Kiran... You are waiting for me..." The reply.

"Whoa..." Bu Zainab came to call him, making him a little jolt and wave.

"Mother?" Hidayat rushed to get his phone back.

"Why isn't Maira with you? Let your things travel..." Mother's protest.

"Away, Ma... Poor Maira. Anyway, Hidayat can get there faster..." Deny Hidayat while packing.

"Your sister used to use a motorbike, and her husband kept going back and forth..."

"It's different, Mom... Brother Zahra is indeed a phobia of riding a car, if Maira is not... Next time we'll be back together, ma'am..." Hidayat tried to make his mother understand.

"alright... You take care of Maira as best you can. You meet her needs born and inner, and never hurt her to the end of a fingernail and a hair..." Mrs Zainab's message was heard begging.

Hidayat. He looked at his mother's face. His jakun started going up and down withstanding the tightness inside his chest.

"What?" Ms. Zainab took both Hidayat's arms.

Hidayat smiled, rather he forced to smile. "Mom take it easy..."

Bu Zainab's face began to look sumringah. Whatever he heard from Hidayat's mouth, he believed.

"If your brother and sister-in-law were still around, they would be very happy... Believe me, son, this is your destiny with Maira... Maira is your soul mate... She's a nice, gentle and well-mannered girl... May you always be happy..."

Hidayat held his mother into his chest. There was a rejection in his heart about what his mother said, but no matter how sick his heart, only his mother's embrace became his tranquilizer.

"They're leaving, yes, ma'am... I'm good at home, take care of my health. And if there is anything, please contact Hidayat immediately... Nothing is covered up from this mother's son..." Hidayat said as he kissed his mother's cheek.

"Yes... You also... Always remember God wherever you are... Treat what is in your grasp best, so that you know the meaning of gratitude... Surely the regret comes when he is released, but it turns out you are just beginning to realize that he is very meaningful..."

After Hidayat died, Ms. Zainab cried in her room. He remembered Hidayat's wedding day yesterday, clearly making him doubtful about his son's household. Hidayat's loving gaze towards a woman who attended his wedding yesterday was caught by his own eyes.

Ms. Zainab was worried, she knew very well who the woman was. They had never met in person before, but Bu Zainab knew Kirana through the film she had seen in theaters some time ago.
