Chapters 20. Back From the Village

Rico seemed happy to see Karen who was always smiling all the way home. The two hours of travel felt very short.

Happiness emanated from the faces of the lovers. Without them being conscious at home, Papi Arion waited for their presence with full emotion.

Arion who has become suspicious of Rico and Karen's relationship accidentally returns home from his business trip sooner than he says.

Arion's suspicion is not only because they have seen them embrace but also based on Karen's slightly strange attitude. It's been almost two weeks of their marriage but Karen's still coming months. And it had been two nights that he felt a very heavy drowsiness. Arion had been suspicious if someone gave him sleeping pills.

"If you like to take a walk to the beach, I'll take every spare moment. So you can keep smiling. Your smile changed my world" Rico said.

"The whole thing is very loose" said Karen with a crisp laugh.

Seeing the waves and running on the beach earlier, making Karen forget for a moment the words of her father. His father's warning of Arion's cruelty is forgotten.

Arion has got the information he wants. Entering the study, the middle-aged man vented his anger.

He took a vase of flowers on the table near the sofa, then threw it against the wall. Her face flushed with restraining emotions and anger.

The flower vase is broken to pieces. However, Arion looked still unsatisfied. He then approached the desk and dropped everything on the table onto the floor.

Arion's study looked very messy. Glass and files scattered on the floor.

"You're trying to play with fire with me apparently. All righty! I'll burn you. I will make you regret for betraying me" said Arion with great emphasis.

Rico and Kenan, who had yet to realize the danger was in sight, still seemed to be laughing happily.

"What are you talking about, Karen? ask Rico. He doesn't like his women to talk about anything uncertain.

"I just want to remind you, never to give up when facing the test because every drop of clear rain comes from dark clouds. Your journey is still long, so stop to stop because you will still be far removed. Let you know that something destined will come upon you, it cannot escape you. And everything that is destined to escape you, will definitely not happen to you" said Karen.

"Karen, don't talk like that anymore. I'll follow parno. I was so happy to see your smile, don't spoil it all because of what you said" Rico said.

He returned to run his car at the speed of being headed to the residence of Papi Arion. The vehicle has now entered the courtyard of Arion's mansion.

Rico and Karen entered hand in hand. They still think Arion will be back tomorrow.

Just a few steps into the house, both of them were shocked by someone's greeting. His voice was so clear in the ears.

Karen stopped her footsteps. Cold sweat washed his clothes.

"Good afternoon my wife Karen" greeted my father with a smile.

Both Karen and Rico were shocked to hear the greeting from her Papi. Rico could have realized that his Papi must have suspected their relationship. Rico took a deep breath to neutralize his heart beat.

"Good afternoon, Papi" Rico replied to his Papi. He tried to answer calmly.
