Chapter 67. Rico Apartments

Arion is ready to return to the city. Although Rusdi held him until morning, but the middle-aged man refused. She can't wait to meet her daughter Karen.

Repeatedly the man pulled his hair, a sign of frustration. She could not imagine how much regret she would have if Karen had not been helped by her suicide.

From Rusdi's letter, Arion believes the man did not know about the incident when Karen tried to kill herself. The proof is that he does not know about Karen who was locked up in the village.

At moderate speed Arion drove his car into the city. He directly contacted the subordinates to find out Karen's whereabouts.

After getting an answer if the daughter was in Rico's apartment, Arion's heart was relieved. He went straight to his adopted son's apartment.

Without resting, the middle-aged man directly drove his car. Arriving at the apartment owned by the turn of the day still shows at five in the morning. Arion chose to rest at a nearby hotel there.

It was early in the morning when Rico sat on his apartment couch with a cup of coffee in his hand. Rico's eyes were only fixed on the laptop screen in front of him.

He's working on a report that was deliberately brought home so as not to overtime yesterday. Rico read it carefully. Rico took a sip of his coffee, while the man's eyes glanced at Karen who was still sound asleep, curled up with a body wrapped in a blanket.

Karen woke up this morning and laid her body back near Rico. Since her pregnancy Karen always wanted to be near the man.Rico wanted to get his job done immediately. By the time Karen woke up, it was all done. He wanted to take the woman to breakfast, and then take a walk to the beach.

Rico fixes the blanket that fell from Karen's body. While going to the kitchen to fetch water, Rico was shocked by the sound of the apartment bell.

"Who met so early? Usually there are no guests?" ask Rico with himself.

Rico walked quickly to the door, afraid that the bell's sound would disturb Karen's sleep. He opened the door immediately.

Rico knew exactly who the Papa was. He is willing to do anything to get what he wants.

Arion took a breath and gave his best smile. In the man's heart, there was a sense of gratitude because Karen was in Rico's care. He knows how his son is.

"Why are you talking like that? It's like seeing a ghost. Is Papi not allowed in?" asked Arion kindly.

This made Rico even more shocked. Why did his Papi turn this way. Rico is afraid of all this because Arion is planning something bad.

Rico was still stunned, without a care Papi Arion who was stiff standing. He hesitated to let the man in.

"Is Papi not allowed in?" ask Arion again. He understood that his son must have been hesitant about his arrival.

Rico, awakened from the daydream, finally gave a smile. The man was sure he could face his Papa.

"Sorry, I'm just surprised that Papi came so early. Is there anything important that brought Papi here?" ask Rico.

Arion patted his son's shoulder slowly. He smiled as hard as he could.

"Papi's coming here, first because he missed you. The other thing is just a distraction!" said Arion friendly.

This made Rico suspicious. Papi never preached this with him.
