Half the Fallen Angels

Half the Fallen Angels
Episode 9: Good Is Not Always Right

Luna ran towards Devan. Still looks like a trace of crying on his face.

"Devan, are you okay?", asked Luna with a sad look.

Devan was still dumbfounded with a gasp of breath.

Luna watched Devan's right hand flushed and bruised at the tip of the fist. Luna stretched out her two hands, bringing them closer to the bruised hand.

"Sorry Devan. Because I brought you here you became like this", said Luna sadly, her eyes I saw Devan's bruised hands.

"You're not wrong, Luna. I came here because I wanted to" said Devan, holding back the pain in his hand. He looked at Luna, Luna also looked at him with a sad look.

Grandpa Luna walked over to Devan. Luna who noticed it then turned around, standing right in front of Devan while stretching out her hands.

Luna looked at her grandfather with an angry face mixed with sadness. His eyes were sharp, his lips were manyuning.

"Had cake. I'll take Devan back to the mainland."

Grandpa Luna continued to step closer.

Suddenly a girl walked up and stood in front of Luna facing her grandfather.

"If you step again, I will kick your feet" said Zoya firmly. Both of his hands were folded in his chest.

Grandpa Luna stopped her steps. He breathed and then started talking.

"There was once a woman who walked the earth. He came, and everything stopped. He left, then everything went as usual" said Luna's grandfather.

Devan was interested in hearing the remark, similar to the situation he was in.

"Didn't Luna bring her here because of that story, Luna?."

"Grandfather will just hit him!".", said Luna angrily.

"I'm just testing it, Luna. Look.!.", said Grandpa Luna while pointing at Devan's reddened and bruised hands.

Suddenly, Devan's injured hand slowly scavenged. His bruises slowly disappeared, and the redness in his hands slowly returned to normal.

Everyone who saw it was confused, including Devan himself. He felt the pain that was in his hand was now not felt.

"Young man, you look confused. Do you know who you are?", Grandpa Luna asked Devan.

Everyone around looked at Devan.

"Actually.... I don't remember my past" said Devan hesitantly. "But, I just remembered, that I once lived in Gardum Village."

"Oh. So you have started to remember your human life?", asked Grandpa Luna again as her eyes turned towards Luna for a moment.

"I just remember that one" Devan replied.

"You've got thick black hair. Human hair has never been so dark. Humans also can not be okay after receiving one blow Reyn to slam far away. Humans also do not have the physical strength that makes Reyn fly away because of his fist. Man cannot heal himself so quickly, and man cannot see us, the nation of the fairies" said Grandpa Luna Long.

"Who do you think I am?." Ask Devan in wonder..

Grandpa Luna then looked at every person who was in that place.

"All of you. Can you leave me and this young man alone?" said Grandpa Luna. "You too. Go to your sister" Grandpa Luna said to the teenage boy by her side.

They obey Grandpa Luna's orders. The teenage man also walked towards the direction where Reyn was thrown, Yuna started heading towards the tree house, Zeya headed to Trevy's side and was still waiting for Luna who still had not left in front of her grandfather.

Grandpa Luna looked gently at Luna who was still not moving. "I promise I won't hurt her, Luna" said Grandpa Luna, smiling at Luna.

Seeing her grandfather's attitude, Luna finally softened. The angry look on his face slowly faded. Luna turned to face Devan.

Luna walked up to Devan while taking something out of her shirt pocket. Then he put it in Devan's black jacket pocket.

Right in front of Devan, Luna lowered her head.

"I feel like you're going to leave, Devan. I don't like to part like this." Luna.

"Then thank you, Luna. You've had a lot...."

"Devan!.", call Luna to cut Devan's speech. "I beg you to come here again", he continued.

Devan just silently looked at Luna. While Luna slowly walked back step by step while looking at Devan with a sad look, then she turned around and ran towards Trevy and Zeya who were waiting for her. The three of them walked towards the tree house.

Grandpa Luna and Devan live in that place. Grandpa Luna sighed and started talking.

"The first time I saw you, I expected it." The old man stopped, saying for a moment, Devan silently did not understand.

"Luna always tends to help people. I'm worried that in the future, he's doing something beyond his means", continued the grandfather, he looked at Devan.

"I won't ask Luna for help, on something beyond her limits" Devan responded.

"Luna won't wait for you to ask. He himself will offer it. I'm sure, bringing you here, it wasn't you asking, but Luna offered."

Devan thought for a moment, recalling the previous events.

(..... "Devan, I have a lead for you. But.. I still doubt if this is really a clue.", said Luna her tone slowly shrunk. "But also this is worth trying", continued Luna reassured.

"really?. What clue?."

"That clue isn't here."

.....

"Where are we going?", asked Devan, still confused by the question.

Luna pointed her index finger up. "To the cloud." ...).

Devan is back in consciousness.

"So, what am I supposed to do?", asked Devan.

"You know better what to do, young man", replied the grandfather.

"I'm currently trying to figure out what curse I'm going through. And what about Luna?."

"Luna did what she was supposed to do. As her grandfather, I am grateful to this day, Luna has always done good things", Grandpa Luna paused her words for a moment. "I hope it brings good destiny to him."

Devan only listened to Grandpa Luna, despite most of her words, Devan could not understand.

"And also, something that you are experiencing, it is not a curse" continued Grandpa Luna.

"Not a curse?. Then, what am I going through?", asked Devan curiously.

"You have experienced nothing. It's something you had from the beginning."

Devan was silent for a moment thinking about Grandfather's words.

"I don't understand. Please explain."

"That's all I can say."

"Why?. I think you know more, fairy grandfather. Wouldn't it be better to speak plainly than to make me guess?."

"The world has laws, young man. Not everything that is done well is right."

"Sorry, your words are too complicated."

"You will understand in due time."

Devan was silent for a moment.

"Then I don't get anything here."

"I couldn't say it more clearly. But there are others who can."

"Who?."

"Someone who by his arrival had all stopped, yet returned to walk after his departure."

"That's the story of a woman you said earlier. So then.. Is that guy still alive?. I thought that story had happened a long time ago."

"That's an old story. Even before Luna was born."

"Where can I meet this woman?."

"In a big city with tall buildings with wide black streets smooth. Modern civilization, has many vehicles, and has many places of entertainment. The place that most humans love makes it one of the most crowded places in the world."

"That place....."

"The city was by ordinary humans referred to as the destiny-changing city, Avalon City."

"How can I find him?. When I get to that city, everyone's gonna be lying around like a dead man."

"Go back to the city. When you arrive, he will come to you."

Devan looked at Grandpa Luna's astonishment. "How do you know that?."

"You'll understand when you get to the city."

Suddenly Yuna came from the direction of the tree house.

"You will be ushered down by him" Grandpa Luna said to Devan as she looked at Yuna.

"Yuna, please deliver this young man".", continued Luna's grandfather.

"Well, Cake.", respond Yuna.

Yuna walked towards Devan's side, then nodded her head at Devan as a gesture to start walking. They turned around and started walking.

Just walking a few steps, suddenly Devan stopped stepping, Yuna also stopped. Devan turned to face Grandpa Luna.

"I want to ask you one more thing" Pinta Devan.

"What is that?", asked Grandpa Luna.

"Not everything that is done well is right. That's what you said. You are also grateful that Luna always does good things. But, what did Luna do today by taking me to see you was the right thing?".", Devan said with a flat face.

Suddenly quiet. Yuna who heard the question then put on a sad face. Long Grandpa Luna was silent.

"good. No need to answer. I already understand. Thank you, and apologize, fairy grandfather."

Devan walks with Yuna. He was heavy-hearted to have to leave Luna by parting like this. Devan felt that he had left trouble for Luna. Even so, he had no other choice but to leave today.
