"There's a meeting there's a farewell,"
Lia gently opened the door of her room, then closed it back. Lia stepped foot with blank eyes and looked sad, just now she and her parents had discussed about their move to the rainy city, Lia had refused but of course both her parents could not be denied, making Lia's mind drift somewhere. Lia walked towards the bed and sat on the lip of the bed.
The feeling of sadness was increasingly raging, then he could not hold back the tears that had wanted to spill immediately. Lia covered her face with both palms then sobbed.
The sobs filled the room, causing Andres to wake up from his sleep, slowly open his eyes and rub his eyes which still felt very heavy, then look at Lia's back.
Andres shuffled, then sat down beside Lia. Andres leaned his head, and felt astonished why Lia was sobbing like that.
"Li, what's wrong with you?"tanya Andres held one of Lia's wrists, then fixed her sitting position to sideways facing Lia.
"Andres.."when Lia immediately hugged Andres firmly and the cry was even more unrelenting and getting louder.
"Li, what's wrong? did someone hurt you?"panicking Andres for a moment, then releasing Lia's embrace then a pair of Andres' eyes stared at the teary-eyed look on Lia's face.
Lia was crying, and somehow Andres felt his heart ache at once. Andres hated seeing a woman crying, including seeing-Lia now crying incessantly.
"Why, Li? please don't cry, Li. I'm so anxious."Andres said softly, cupping Lia's cheeks with worried eyes.
Lia returned Andres' gaze with her pair of eyes wet with tears, making Andres' heart feel sliced. Andres wiped the tears with his fingers.
"I'm just sad Andres," said Lia with a hoarse voice typical of people who were crying.
Andres just looked at him skeptically, making Lia's smile expand more sincerely, or perhaps more like a smile that was strengthening itself.
"Andres,"call Lia as gently as possible.
"What?"sahut Andres lirih's.
"Are we friends?"
Andres frowned his brows in wonder, why did Lia ask like that?"Yes," Andres replied short, it's hard to admit that the status of their relationship was just a friend - not more.
"Are you comfortable with me?"ask Lia again.
"Of course, if I'm not comfortable I will definitely leave you." replied Andres as he was.
"But, I left you not because I wasn't comfortable being friends with you." said Lia by staring at Andres's face with tears again, making Andres again confused by Lia's words just now.
Andres swallowed his saliva slowly."What's your magsud, Li?"Andres smiled wryly, but the bad thoughts were incessantly in his brain now.
"I'll move on,"honestly Lia smiled slightly, then wiped away her tears quickly.
"Moved?"Andres looks confused.
"I'll move to a rainy city in a few weeks, my parents won't allow me to stay in the capital anymore. They worry about everything about me. And I don't think there's any other choice but to agree to that decision."Lia bluntly, making both of Andres' eyes instantly fester in disbelief of what he had just heard.
Andres shook faintly."Don't come back to prank me, Li. Do you want revenge on me, because I fucked you earlier?"
"I'm serious Andres." said Lia with an expression as calm as possible, making Andres inexhaustible.
"But, once you move, will you be happy?"look at Andres seriously.
"Sure."sahut Lia was short, but from her intonation it sounded like doubt. For a moment, the two of them just stared at each other. Then, Lia felt the changed Andres clasping his hands.
"Then what about me? you're happy there while I'm suffering?"andres' question made Lia speechless for a moment.
"You'll be happy too, of course you'll be happy I'm sure of that" Lia said confidently.
"After what we passed? and you just left? Li, don't you understand how I feel?"Lia fell silent again, and Andres only let out a long sigh and changed his gaze to look straight ahead.
"We're just friends, Andres. Don't take this parting too much, and I'm sure you'll make another friend. And even we will keep communicating, of course." continued Lia and tried to refrain from sobbing and so that his voice did not sound vibrating.
"Then why don't we change our status from friend to girlfriend? that's easier, isn't it, Li?"sahut Andres sarcas while looking at Lia's face seriously.
"Andres, are you kidding me?"
"Of course I'm serious, there's no reason for me to joke with you."
Lia heaved a heavy sigh, then looked at Andres who was still staring at her as well. This time Lia looked at Andres with a pair of clear eyes, with no tears flowing, much more resolute than before. However, after hearing Andres' words made Lia a little surprised.
"Alright, forget what I said." continued Andres and sighed then his eyes turned to look at the ceiling of the room.
"Andres,"call Lia down.
"Go to the rainy city, and forget our friendship."tukas Andres and immediately left Lia without a smile.
"Andres?!"call Lia a little scream, but Andres has disappeared, going through the balcony door of his room.
After Andres left, the tears came back. His chest tightened, his heart ached, why didn't Andres understand his current position? why is he selfish, if he can choose of course Lia does not want to move.
The two of them only needed time to think calmly, so that the two of them could mature enough through the circumstances. There was a meeting of course there was a farewell. Of course they both have to be ready.
