#5 Is No Longer the Same
Instead of returning to the dormitory, Seongwoo parked his iron horse on the banks of the Cheongye River, which was still crowded with people. He just obeyed the will of the lover who insisted not want to go home for a while.
Being in the dormitory will only make Seohyun's feelings worse, considering that the dorm has many memories with Yura and Daniel.
If he could choose, Seohyun wanted to graduate from that college and start a new life, away from the past that gripped him tightly to not be able to run anywhere he wanted.
“Already, don't think too much. You have to maintain the health of your body and mind,” said Seongwoo who had sat his butt next to Seohyun. Staring at a small show of fountains that bring out beautiful colors captivates the eye with a can of Seohyun's favorite citrus-flavored fizzy drink. “Minum. I know how you feel right now.”
Seohyun looked at Seongwoo pity. He did not understand, what exactly was inside the young man's mind. Seohyun clearly knew that her heart was still touched by Daniel, but Seongwoo even recklessly deepened his feelings for Seohyun.
Like looking in the mirror. Seohyun understood what Seongwoo was really feeling.
It was like there were millions of swords mercilessly wielding his precious little heart. Be ill. At least, that's how she felt, knowing Daniel loved Eunbi more than he did.
“Stupid men!” Seohyun smiled bitterly. Subduing his gaze after taking over the fizzy drink from Seongwoo's hands.
Seongwoo's forehead frowned confusedly. “What do you mean?”
Seohyun's gaze lifted again. He stared at Seongwoo's black bead. “Stupid. You!” press it.
Seongwoo. He could not digest the direction of the conversation Seohyun had triggered.
Again Seohyun snorted amusedly. His face was back down. “You know for sure what I'm feeling, but why are you sticking to your stance?” His gaze this time locked onto Seongwoo's face. Ask the young man to answer. “Sick, right?”
“Seohyun-ah—“
His wry smile was re-engraved. “You know that I still love him, but you're trying to stay by my side. Are you stupid?”
“Yes! Yoon Seohyun!”
“I can't control my feelings. I still can't forget him. I—“
“You know for yourself the answer, don't you?” Seongwoo interrupted the sentence Seohyun was saying. “I'm just like you. I can't control this feeling all I want. When I've dropped my heart on you, I will continue to love you! I hope one day you will open up your feelings to me. Fully.” Seongwoo's tone was decreasing. Seeking sympathy from Seohyun's mind which had previously been shrouded in a mist of despair and anger.
“No, Seohyun-ah!” Intonation increases. “Not the same!” Seongwoo took in his breath which began to be cut off because the pressure inside him made him uneasy. She was afraid, Seohyun again ignored him, because of Daniel. “Daniel already has Eunbi. You can't take that position!” There was a long gap between his sentences. He hesitated to say it, but ended up just coming out.
Eunbin.
Again the name of the girl was called.
It was like a loud slap that made Seohyun's level of consciousness return to normal. Forcing him to swallow the bitter pill of reality, if Daniel already had a lover.
“You should appreciate Eunbi. Even though you hate her and often act thin and indifferent to her, it inevitably makes her hate you back.” Seongwoo sage sentences began to surface.
“You didn't see how she behaved to you? She even let her dress tear, and her legs hurt just to help you. I know how Eunbi cares about you. I know!”
“Geumanhae!”
“Anni! I will never stop to wake you up from that dream. After all, Daniel is already with Eunbi now. He is no longer the old Daniel. You have to remember that.”
Not wanting to get involved again with Seongwoo's long ramblings, Seohyun preferred to be silent. Throw his eyes to the right. Shoot away his thoughts.
