Chapter 35 - Memories.

...The second day survival test....

It does not feel like the day is starting to enter twilight. A gentle afternoon came with the sun slowly beginning to set. Akizumi, Hikari, Evelyn, and Shiori were sitting right under a large tall tree near the treehouse. The four of them sat in a circle with dozens of deer skewers made of foliage.

A few moments later Hiroki came with some wood on both shoulders. Hiroki put the wood he brought to the ground in the middle of Akizumi, Hikari, Evelyn, and Shiori.

Then Akizumi and Hiroki stacked some of the wood and burned it until a bonfire was created. As the cold night winds blanket the Angleleaf forest, warming the body in front of the bonfire is just right.

While warming up, the five of them also put deer satay on the bonfire. To wait for a mature deer satay, Hikari tells her what really happened to her team before Akizumi comes to her rescue.

Hiroki who was really very angry when he heard back Frank and Niichi had fallen in the first exam. Evelyn and Shiori were also very upset and angry towards Roussel who had made Hikari hurt.

The expression from Shiori looked so cute, she put on an annoyed and nervous expression simultaneously that made Evelyn and Hikari laugh a little. Then, the already hungry Hiroki recklessly ate the still very hot Deer satay.

"Hottest!!!" Hiroki screamed as he stuck out his tongue while fanning it with his left hand.

"Not to be rushed, the stock of deer satay is also still a lot, enough to be enjoyed all night." said Akizumi.

Seeing the hilarious reaction from Hiroki made Hikari, Evelyn, and Shiori chuckle. The atmosphere today is so peaceful and positive. After eating a few Deer satay in an instant, Hiroki stood up while telling his prowess before Hikari, Evelyn, and Shiori excitedly.

"I do have the look of a delinquent! But I can't just stand by when Class A is taken for granted by other classes! With this, I will be determined to defeat all the teams from the other classes!" hiroki said excitedly.

Akizumi, Hikari, Evelyn, and Shiori enjoyed Deer satay while listening to Hiroki storytelling quite excitedly, the four of them also took the time to give Hiroki a round of applause.

After Shiori, it is now Hikari's turn to tell her about the greatness of her father, the hero of the Kingdom, Frederick. Hiroki, Evelyn, and Shiori were very impressed by what Hikari had told them.

Akizumi felt quite happy about this kind of peaceful situation with her friend who was joking with each other. After that, Akizumi lowered her head, slowly her eyes began to tighten as if she wanted to close it and at the same time she heard a female voice from her right ear.

"Akizumi's.."

Akizumi still ignored him.

The woman's voice was getting clear in Akizumi's ears. Then in an instant Akizumi saw himself in a flower field, right on the high ground in the Callbourn City area.

"Akizumi, how? Fun instead of laughing together with friends.."

The figure of a long black-haired woman with a little decomposition and a sunflower set tucked in her left ear. The woman stood right in front of Akizumi with a sweet smile.

Akizumi looked at the woman slowly from the tip of the foot to the tip of the head. Then Akizumi saw the face of the woman so clearly. Akizumi was surprised, her eyes were teary, and her tears started to drip down her cheeks.

"Same.."

"Y-yeah.." Akizumi smiled faintly, but she answered him weakly.

"Answer with spirit, dong!" Risa clenched Akizumi's head violently.

"Yes! How fun!" akizumi answered excitedly, looking a big lump in Akizumi's head because it was picked up by Risa.

"Good, Akizumi! Even if I'm not here, you should still be excited! You remember our promise, right?"

"Of course, Risa. I still remember it."

"One day you have to keep it! A promise is a promise! You can't break, yeah! So keep getting excited, Akizumi! Because, I'll keep an eye on you!" Risa smiled widely.

Akizumi opened her eyes with a surprised expression. Then he held his head back from his lowered position, and at once Hiroki, Evelyn, Hikari, and Shiori stared at him.

"Akizumi, are you.. crying?" ask Hikari.

"Are you okay, Akizumi?" ask Evelyn.

Hiroki and Shiori just silently observed.

Akizumi's tears are on her cheeks. Akizumi rubbed it and replied, "Ah, no. I'm just a little reminded of the past.."

"What past??" ask Hikari again.

Akizumi stood up from her seat, "Come, I also slightly forgot about what the past was. Oh yeah, you guys just spend the rest of the time, I'd like to take a little walk around here to see if there's another team or a monster after us or not.."

Akizumi walked away leaving behind Hiroki, Evelyn, Shiori, and Hikari who were around the campfire. Akizumi took a leisurely walk to observe around while remembering about Risa.

However, as Akizumi walked, she suddenly felt something like there were a lot of people in love with her. Although Akizumi already felt that, but he was not rash and acted as if nothing had happened.

After quite a while, Akizumi walked back to the campfire area near the tree house. When he gets there, Akizumi sees only Hiroki who is still sitting in front of the campfire, while Hikari, Evelyn, and Shiori are already sleeping in the tree house.

"Hiroki, what else is sleeping?" ask Akizumi.

"Yes. The three of them slept in the tree house. I'm here to stay on guard." replied Hiroki.

"Hiroki, it seems like tomorrow I will have to part with you guys for a while."

"Huh? Split up? What do you mean, Akizumi? You've been looking pretty weird lately.."

"There's a lot of people watching me around here. They're hitmen, I don't count how many, but I'm sure they're a hundred people." Akizumi said.

"Hoi-hoi, a hundred hit men? They're after you? Let me help you too!" hiroki.

"No need, Hiroki. You don't have to exhaust yourself just to help me, you just focus on the test. Maybe I'll leave in the early hours, so don't say this to Hikari, Evelyn, and Shiori." said Akizumi.
