Earth 23 – Key Witness
“I owe you my life.”
The morning sun shimmered across the hospital park waking up the damp grass of night dew that began to evaporate due to the warmth of the sun. The birds chirping in the sea resuscitate the start of the crowd in place of the silence of the night. Calvin Adam was in the back of the wheelchair where Roberto was sitting and pushed him slowly. A policeman without a uniform followed them from a safe distance.
“You don't owe me anything, it's my job to save a patient's life,”
Calvin Adam stopped and locked the wheel on the chair to keep it stable and he stepped on the park bench, “do you still not want to open your mouth about the incident that night?”
Roberto was silent, it had been almost a week after the incident and he did not want to speak chronological events even when the police asked him always he was silent.
“If you force me to open my mouth, at least it will be a thank you request for giving me a second chance to live better. I heard, because you saved me you went through a code of conduct hearing at this hospital? Is that true?”

Roberto's wheelchair is being pushed by a nurse accompanied by police, Calvin Adam has an emergency call from the surgical room to observe the surgery being performed by Doctors Ericson and Lydia as Anastasi doctors.

Less than an hour of surgery was over and Ericson's doctor, Calvin Adam, Lydia left the operating room. The patient has been treated by a nurse to be transferred to a monitoring room for postoperative observation. Not yet at the hospital cafeteria where the three of them planned to sip coffee to increase stamina, Calvin Adam's phone was already ringing and the voice of a nurse made Calvin Adam run.
“Roberto has trouble breathing,” exclaimed Calvin Adam who was heard by Ericson and Lydia who was speechless and staring at Calvin Adam's back disappearing from their sight.
