Hero Creator: The Last Hero

Hero Creator: The Last Hero
Ch. 28 — Life Exchange

Looking at the scene before him, Sylph was a little saddened by destroying some of the beautiful realms by using the power from her anger.

As a figure who is supposed to guard nature he actually destroys it. It was enough for him to feel regret for his actions. But how else? Fighting half-heartedly won't make him bring back Priscilla.

Squinting his eyes, Sylph immediately widened and was deeply shaken. Although the dust cloud had not disappeared, it was quite clear to him that the great power was still alive, having no signs of dying.

“B-how can it be?”

Unlike his usual calm self, Sylph was now more shocked and almost lost herself.

“That's because you're weak, I won't get hurt with a weakling like you.”

Looking at it even more clearly, Michael was still flying in the same spot even though the ground beneath him had turned into a very deep hole thanks to his attack.

If it was an ordinary person, or any other Hero other than Rigel would definitely die without needing to confirm it again. The attack that Sylph used had a very large and fast area, it was impossible to escape even by teleportation.

The Sylph who was previously on the wind, was dropped by her own arrogance, confidence, as well as hope. There was nothing worse than being betrayed by his own expectations.

He was so arrogant just because he was in this world, the land where he ruled, Sylph felt he could kill Michael and snatch Priscilla if he tried with his strongest magic.

However what power, over-judging the height of his magic was a huge mistake he had ever made. Sylph realizes her other mistake, the fact that Michael is able to borrow the power of the other Seraphim.

“The shield ..” Sylph seemed to recognize the golden cross shield in Michael's hand.

“It looks like you're starting to remember who I am, and what powers only I have. I can't let you stay alive because even Lucifer doesn't know about this.”

The shield in his hand shone brightly until it almost removed its shape. Sylph felt a bad premonition, quickly flying in a random direction and sure enough her instincts.

His place was previously where Michael attacked with the light of his shield. The attack from his shield made a hole in the sky, what a terrifying attack.

Sylph now knew exactly what it was. Not that Michael's abilities were that limited, he hadn't even used his strength at all m his shield either, wasn't what he had.

“Not to be mistaken, it belongs to Seraphim who guards the sky gate, Kemuel.”

Seraphim. As all creatures know that they are the 12 Angels who became Michael's retainer. Unlike humans who have 12 heroes in war. Demons and angels have 13 warriors if they include Lucifer and Michael.

Among the Seraphim they have a nickname that symbolizes the personality and strength they have. For example, Kemuel who has the nickname, the Guardians of the Gate of Heaven.

As a gatekeeper he certainly has a strong defense as well as the sky gate itself. Naturally the defense is very strong, not nonsense call it the Angel Shield.

“True, you should know that this Shield will not lose to the human Hero, not to mention its power is very strong during the day.”

The sun is a supplier of angelic powers that no one can overcome. Even if Rigel could not eliminate him, so Sylph thought.

“The fact that you are up to using the ability that you hide, which is using the power of another Seraphim is proof that you are unable to overcome my attacks without help!”

Not intending to give up, eight magic circles were formed and sent greenish lasers towards Michael. Even if his attacks were useless, it was far more futile to just stand idly by.

“You talk quite a lot, even if only the product fails.”

Michael calmly lifted his shield, resisting the eight attacks with one of the simplest moves.

In reality, the reason he did not use force was because he wanted to hide it. Lucifer may have known some of his powers in past battles, but there are many he does not know.

‘Human, and Lucifer has a secret that's still in store. With the mysterious power of the human being and the hand of Hades belonging to Lucifer, it is not good for me to show the trump card.’

Able to use the power of other Seraphim including the strongest card, until now only Sylph knew the facts about it. As he had said before, there would be no chance of letting him live any longer.

“Can't you realize that all this is in vain? Be proud and give up on killing.”

The shield in his hand again shone and flew a light that reached the sky. Sylph easily avoided it, but soon another round of attacks continued.

Four powerful lights shot out quickly and were avoided. Out of the four eight, tens, even hundreds of attacks started flying into the sky.

Like a butterfly chased by hundreds of predators, the Sylph can only continue to fly fast while dodging every attack. In his escape did not forget Sylph was observing Michael's movements.

‘What is he doing?’ He thought when he realized Michael's strangeness.

In addition to continuing to use the shield to attack him, Michael's other hand contained a mirror in which Priscilla was trapped. Michael seemed to be talking to the mirror, rather the person inside it.

“Forwardly, you will be the one who contributed greatly to killing the Queen of the fairies.” Michael smiled widely, seemingly very happy.

“What you plan to do, stop! I swear I'll kill you!” Priscilla banged from behind the glass, her face completely wrathful.

Michael never paid him any heed, from the start he didn't count Priscilla as a threat. As if he was degrading Sylph, other than Rigel and Lucifer they were nothing but worthless trash.

Even Acnologia which he took advantage of by buying his trust using Yggdrasil fruit was just a tool that had very little value.

Even so the deciding factor of the unreasonable increase in strength was in Raphael's power healing and increasing his strength again. Without him, it was no surprise that Acnologia easily died at the hands of the Heroes even though in the end he remained dead.

“Until when do you want to keep running?” Michael's sending more light.

Some hit Sylph and hollowed her wings, but did not make her lose any manoeuvre. Sylph retaliated, attacking with the tree roots and exerting the fairies to injure Michael.

“You're quite desperate apparently. If you want a girl in this mirror, then take it!” Michael smiled widely, throwing the mirror in his hand in the opposite direction to the flying Sylph.

“Priscilla!”

On his way Sylph crashes into several of Michael's attacks. For the first time, his body was bleeding

As Michael wished, Sylph quickly turned around and chased after the mirror. The smile on her lips never disappeared until a few words were issued:

“Give me your lightning, Barakiel.”

The sky began to rumble, golden electricity arriving in Michael's empty hands. Not in the form of energy, but physical objects that can be touched with the hands of a few people.

With the new thing arriving in his hand, Michael held it up high.

“With this, be born and feel the tantrums of the Thunder God!”

The sky rumbled, the biggest golden lightning bolt striking towards the mirror where Priscilla was trapped. Realizing that, Sylph had guessed that either she or Priscilla should die.

Had she not saved the mirror, Priscillia would have been trapped inside the mirror without ever being able to get out, while if she had saved it, Sylph herself was sure of not being able to survive.

His condition is not so good. When it comes to being honest, Warth Of Fairyqueen has risks and a huge burden on his body. The risk in question is that the life force will not envelop his body, currently considered his weakest condition.

‘Nothing, I expected this. That's why I made him the Fairy King. Although it is a pity because I still want to be with her even longer, if I can I want Priscilla to have a sister of mine.’

But dreams are empty, hopes that no longer have a chance. Here, in this place, now would also be the last time to see the path of this world.

Because it's been a long time, maybe it's the right time to end it. To die for the person he loves is not a bad choice.

With the right hand clutching the mirror, the other hand used magic capable of removing any seal.

“What are you doing, ignore me and save yourself, Mother!” From behind the mirror Priscilla banged and cried, balking at the fact that Sylph sacrificed her life.

Looking at her daughter's never-changing face, Sylph smiled gently, a drop of tears drenching her cheeks. The tears of a mother who misses her daughter.

The days she spent with her daughter, the time where Priscilla as a child called ‘Mother!’ kept echoing in his ears. The flashbacks to the memories of his life swirled quickly.

“I'm so grateful to take you, so happy to raise you. It was never for me to conceive a child, but you taught me to be a mother, told me the meaning of love. Never blame yourself, live proudly, I—”

There were so many things he wanted to talk about, tell him. Namu seems time does not support, therefore, suffice with a few words.

“—love you so much as my daughter. Sorry and—til you see.” Giving up all his abilities, Sylph smiled the widest smile she could make.

As a fairy queen who spends her time in loneliness, Priscilla's presence is like a gift, a study book that helps her be happier.

It was initially very troublesome taking care of her, but over time a mother's affection grew inside her chest. Truly, he wanted to spend even longer, but his time could no longer be saved.

“Release seal, UNSEAL!” Exerting all her efforts to release Priscilla from the mirror that imprisoned her.

Sylph immediately distanced Priscilla from Michael's attack, leaving her an affected person. The lightning sting reached him, his body became stiff, roasted and the stomach part downward was cut off, disappearing.

“No, MOM!”

The first thing Priscilla did when she was free, was to fly and grab Sylph's upper body, what was left of her.

Seeing his daughter approaching in the last moments of his life, Sylph's smile never went away even though blood came out of her lips. There was not even any pain from losing a part of his body, all he thought about was his daughter.

‘If there is a second life, I want to live and raise you again, Priscilla.’ Sylph's last hope is nearing her death.

If a second life existed, she wanted Priscilla as her son again, even if it could be Rigel as her husband. There is no doubt that she will be the happiest woman in the world.

Tears trickled down for the last time, the moment where she held Priscilla and raised her was what last appeared in her memory.
