First Day of College
It doesn't feel like a month has passed. Today is the first day of college for Elkan and Mira. Both are ready to enter. Unlike in Indonesia, there will be Ospek for new students. There, all the students were gathered in the auditorium, listening to the reception of the Rector, and several professors, then entered the lecture as usual.
"Where do you want to wear clothes, brother? White shirt?" ask Mira.
The two are still in the unit and getting ready together. Mira looked like she was going to get a shirt for her husband. I asked her what shirt her husband would wear.
"Ordinary spell, Honey. Wearing an Alma mater, right?" ask Elkan.
"Yes, all day long with the welcome and introduction of the campus one day only, Brother. Tomorrow we go to college" replied Mira.
"That light blue shirt, Honey. Let it be the same color as the shirt you're wearing, "reply Elkan.
Mira finally picked up a light blue shirt and then invited Elkan to breakfast together. Enjoying breakfast sooner, they both get off the unit and walk together to their campus.
"Enak yah, to the campus just walk away," Mira said as she walked beside Elkan.
"Life a month without stress, Honey. Usually in Jakarta, jams. Now it's only a five-minute walk, it's already on campus," replied Elkan.
Indeed, there is some research that living in a large city with high levels of congestion can trigger stress. Meanwhile, those who live in cities that are not so jammed, stress levels are also low. In Sydney, Elkan admitted that it is not stressful because it does not struggle with traffic jams.
"You can do it the most, sister," replied Mira.
"Don't you, walk early in the morning. Going home to college, walking again. One faculty is also the same wife herself. So the spirit of 45 is me" said Elkan.
Mira smiled, she continued to walk by her husband's side. It feels like a long time ago in White Grey, every morning also Elkan always come to his house and together to school. It does not feel like a year ago has passed and now it is changing by walking together to campus.
"Usually in the morning, I'll take you to your house. The School together. Now, there's no need to pick you up. We slept in one bed. Happier of course," replied Elkan.
Leaving Elkan alone with his words, Mira only smiled a few times, then they had already entered the campus area and headed to the auditorium. All students were greeted with a magnificent music treat like an orchestra that signified a welcome, then continued with a speech from the Rector at the campus. Then the video history and introduction of the campus played, all students just look at it.
The atmosphere of the orientation period is very different in Indonesia. In Indonesia itself, usually mass Orientation activities vary. It is not uncommon to also provide physical activity. But abroad is not like that.
It did not feel like half a day had passed, and students were allowed to go home. Elkan who was a bit sleepy from just sitting and listening to the reception, rubbed his face a few times.
"Congratulations, Brother?" tanyakanya.
"Bangetpus. Duh, want to sleep for a while at home deh," reply Elkan.
Elkan who was already completely sleepy his eyes were watery and slightly reddened. Meanwhile, Mira smiled at her husband.
"Yes, come home yuk? stop by lunch first, or take away" said Mira.
Elkan nodded his head. After that he started to straighten his back and stand up. From the right a few meters away, there was a woman who called out the name Elkan. The oriental-faced beautiful woman was so happy to see Elkan. Of course he is Rosaline.
"Elkan .. nice to meet you," said Rosaline who only greeted Elkan, and ignored Mira.
"I want to go home, Line," replied Elkan.
"Take me to the cafeteria dong, El. Lunch with me," pinta Rosaline now.
Mira chose silence and patience. If it can still be tolerated, yes Mira will try to understand it. Not just blind jealousy. Mira is a little jealous now.
"I'm going home with Mira. You can go to the cafeteria by yourself," replied Elkan.
Rejected by Elkan, Rosaline showed a sad face with teary-looking eyes. "Elkan, why do you have the heart? I just asked you to come with me to eat. We're just friends, even if I put some flavor on you," Rosaline said.
Mira who long ago carelessly chose to just leave. There, too, he was not cared about. Better, go home alone first. Realizing that Mira was leaving, Elkan then looked at Rosaline and spoke again.
"Sorry, Line .. I go home first, otherwise Mira can wait for me" she said.
Elkan also ran through the chairs in the auditorium and reached Mira. Elkan who was getting closer to Mira finally held Mira's hand.
"Honey," call Elkan.
"Just finish it, sister," replied Mira.
"angry? Why? Yuk, go home," take Elkan later.
Mira was silent. Of course he's upset. As if remembering in the past High School, there was Sonya who disrupted their relationship and now there is Rosaline. The girls are expecting Elkan and want to get rid of Mira from Elkan's side.
Eventually, the two decided to return to the unit. Empty stomach after school orientation was not filled with food. It's bad mood. Elkan was also not sleepy. Now, Elkan just fretted why Mira so bad mood like this. Elkan did not want Mira to be angry. As much as possible, Elkan had to improve things.
