I Found Love With You

I Found Love With You
2. The Promise of Youth

On Friday’at afternoon, Sadiyah had just arrived at her stump house after a day struggling with her new project in processing the results of the farm produced by her family's plantation.

Sadiyah saw her aunt's name calling on her phone.

“Halo, assalamu’alaikum bi Ita.” Sadiyah greeted her aunt who called.

“Wa’alaikumsalam. Neng, where is it? Why is it not here yet?” ask Rostita worried

“It just came home from work Bi. Insha Allah, tomorrow morning Iyah home.” Answer Sadiyah.

“Yes, I'm afraid you won't go home Neng. You see there is something important that Bi Ita should talk about with you.” Rostita.

“God willing, tomorrow morning Iyah depart from here. Had wanted this afternoon, but Iyah keenakan ngerjain the project so do not feel aja already want new magrib completed.” Sadiyah replied giving a reason why she did not come home Friday’at afternoon as usual.

“Ya already, tomorrow be careful you bring the motor. Don't mention.” Rostita reminded her niece.

“Who likes to mention or Bi. Iyah mah if you bring a motor yes ordinary aja slowly.” Sahut Sadiyah defended herself.

“That's it, last week you came with wounds everywhere due to falling from the motor.” Said Rostita upset and worried about his nephew.

“That's because Iyah ngehindar cat who crossed suddenly, so Iyah fell.” Sadiyah defended herself.

“Yes pokonya mah you have to be careful, do not get hurt again.” Rostita reminded me.

“Iya My dearest aunt..assalamu’alaikum.” Sadiyah immediately hung up her phone after greeting her aunt.

“Assalamu’alaikum biiiiiiii Sadiyah directly barged into the house while shouting to call her aunt.

“Bi….Bi Ita where?.....” cried Sadiyah again.

“Wa’alaikumsalam.” Answer Rostita.

Sadiyah immediately kissed the back of Rostita's hand when she found her aunt coming out of her bedroom.

“Bi, no food? Iyah laper nih, had not had time for breakfast earlier.” Just getting home, Sadiyah had asked her aunt for a meal.

“Duuuh this basic girl well, new also come already screaming for food.” Said Rostita while pinching Sadiyah's cheek.

“Laper piece, Bi.” Sadiyah Sahut.

“Tuh there fried cassava similarly fried banana on the dining table. Someone sent you here.” Said Rostita while pointing towards the dining table with her chin.

Straight away, Sadiyah darted to the dining table and finished off the remaining fried cassava and banana.

“Basic girls eat it meuni rewog (Eat it ravenously).” Rostita.

After finishing the rest of the cassava and fried bananas, Sadiyah spent a teapot of warm fresh tea. Rostita can only be privileged to see the behavior minus his nephew.

After storing the empty plates and glasses into the kitchen, Sadiyah followed her aunt into the living room and sat on the sofa in front of her aunt sitting down.

“What's up, Bi? Seriously pisan.” asked Sadiyah

“Let's wait for Amang (uncle) you come back first yes. Last time you went to the house of RT sir, he said there was a need first.” Answer Rostita.

“What's Mang Awan going to the house Mr RT, Bi?” tanya Sadiyah suspected because usually pa RT is always visiting her house.

“Mau take care of something.” Rostita answered briefly.

After a while, Darmawan, the husband of Rostita came home after a visit to the house of Mr. RT.

“Assalamu’alaikum” Darmawan salutes before entering the house.

“Wa’alaikumsalam” replied Sadiyah and Rostita compact.

“It's done, Bah?” rostita asked her husband.

“Already, Mbu.” Reply Darmawan.

“Neng, someone wants Amang to talk to Eneng. Amang hope, Neng Iyah responded with a cool head and a calm heart.” Darmawan began to explain something important to Sadiyah.

“What's up, Mang. Are we in a lot of debt? Should we sell our land and our homes? What about the workers?” Sadiyah asked some immediate questions so worried her.

“Not that Neng. Thank God, our land and homes are fine, the workers have also increased because more and more land we have to work on.” Darmawan replied to calm Sadiyah.

“Then, what is Mang?” ask Sadiyah.

“Daddy, listen carefully to what your Amang will say yes.” Rostita said while stroking the top of Sadiyah's head covered by a headscarf.

Sadiyah nodded her head.

“Begini Neng's. One week ago, your old friend Aki came to see us. Moses is his name. This Moses came to meet us to carry out the promise promised by him and Aki when they were young. Their promise was...” Darmawan hung his sentence.

“What promise, Mang?” asked Sadiyah impatiently.

“They promise to be besan by marrying their children.” Reply Darmawan.

“Lah, Dad is dead, married also with mom. My aunt is also married to Amang. Can't Amang divorce Bi Ita?” asked Sadiyah a little surprised by this unreasonable situation.

“Yes no way oruh Neng, Bi Ita time to marry his son. To be sure his children have also married all.” Sahut Rostita tried to explain to straighten out the strangeness of Sadiyah's mind.

“So who wants to marry?” tanya Sadiyah was more astonished.
