Chapter 8's

Ethan's first day as an army in the kingdom of Veridion, was also a tough challenge for him. He had to take off the mask that had been his identity, and pretend to be someone he was not. Roderick's false name and the fake wind power he displayed made him considered a hero by some Veridionians, but behind those masks and fake faces, there was a feeling of loneliness and despair that was hard to express.

Amongst the rest of the army, Roderick attempted to hide the dark side within him. He struggled to control his uncontrollable anger and strength. Every night, as the kingdom was sleeping, Roderick was secretly practicing the sealing magic he had read from the ancient books in the Veridion library.

However, still, the sense of being abandoned by this world never left him. Despite being considered a fake hero, Roderick still feels like an unwelcome newcomer. The guilt and suffering of the past never escaped his mind. Ethan hopes that one day, the world will see him as someone who means something, not just as a hero behind a mask.

In training and in his duties as a squad, Ethan shows his toughness as a fighter. The power of his false wind he used well to protect the citizens of Veridion from the threat of the enemy. However, behind his courage and toughness, there were still unhealed wounds and an unresolved feeling of loneliness.

One day, while Ethan was patrolling the border of the kingdom, he came across a group of other migrants trying to enter Veridion illegally. They were the ones who had been denied citizenship by the kingdom because it was considered not to have sufficient strength to join.

Roderick realized that he was not alone in feelings of loneliness and rejection. He felt called to help them, not only because they were like him, but also because he felt there was a moral responsibility to stand up for the oppressed.

"Why do you want to get into Veridion?" roderick asked in a soft but firm tone.

Roderick was silent for a moment, thinking that maybe he could help them get a better chance. But then he remembered the danger that threatened his existence and this kingdom if there were more arrivals to enter.

"The world is not always fair, and this kingdom is very harsh on immigrants. But if you want to listen to my advice, find another place you can call 'home'. Don't expect much from Veridion" Roderick said in a regretful voice.

However, Roderick's assertiveness did not discourage them. They saw in his eyes a light of hope, and boldly they continued on their own journey, searching for a place they considered a safe place.

Roderick was mixed to see their spirit. He realized that although sometimes the world is cruel and unjust, there is still hope and kindness to be found in unexpected places. In his heart, he promised that someday, when the time came, he would use his power to fight injustice and create a better world for those who were considered meaningless.

Roderick's future may be fraught with suffering, but behind his ever-changing mask and uncontrollable power, there is hope that keeps burning. In darkness and destruction, he finds the true meaning of courage and sacrifice.
