Chapter 2 Fear

The sun just shone perfect. The light does not penetrate into the toilet in the hospital. Dayu was still lying unconscious, when the janitor came. The female attendant was shocked to see a girl lying under the sink, with running water.

"Who is this? Why did he faint? Fainted or died eh died?" the woman's face was shocked and frightened

The officer turns off the water from the sink faucet, then squats and points the index finger under the nose

"Ah, thank God, she is still alive." the middle-aged woman heaved a sigh of relief, "Naaaak, get up... Come on, get up." The woman shook Dayu's shoulder.

Dayu's body wriggled, her eyes slowly opened and glared in shock. He got up and sat down, holding his head. His head hurt a lot. Mayu looked at the woman.

"What's wrong with you, son? Are you sick?" ask the woman

"My head hurts, Mom." Dayu grimaces holding head.

"Come, I help you stand up." the woman held onto Dayu's arms and waist, then helped Dayu to get up.

After Dayu stood up straight, Dayu let go of the woman's grip

"Thank you, Mom. I'm going back to the treatment room." Dayu.

"Yes, Son. Be careful.." the woman watched Dayu, until Dayu came out of the toilet.

Dayu stepped slowly through the hospital hallway. In the morning, the situation is crowded by patients, visitors, doctors and nurses. But, Dayu was not aware of the crowd around him. The frightening face of the woman in the toilet still overshadowed his mind. That face is pale. His eyeballs were all white, while fresh blood flowed from the two noses. When the face was close to her face, the woman's mouth was wide open and fresh blood filled her mouth. Shown again the face, the stomach of Dayu seemed to be struggling.

Dayu pulled out all her entrails at the edge of the hallway. Mayu vomit into a small trench. After vomiting, his stomach was relieved. Mayu continued her steps towards the treatment room.

After entering the room where her mother was treated, Dayu saw Mita asleep on the floor with a plastic mat.

"Ta...., Mita...." Dayu rocked Mita's body slowly.

Mita's eyes opened, she squirmed, yawning.

"Where have you been, Yu?"

"Where from?" Dayu put on an astonished face, "I'm not going anywhere. Kan, last night just went to the toilet."

"Last night I found you. But you don't exist. I'm calling, your phone you're staying." Mita yawns, covering her mouth with her right hand.

"Get out of the toilet, I'm looking for food. When I came back, you slept "Dayu had to lie.

"Where's food? I'm hungry." Mita's eyes are looking.

"Food last night I finished off. If I hadn't finished it, I would have gone stale this morning. If you want to eat, I'll buy you some more, okay?" Dayu will move.

"Let me buy it. I bought them for you." Mita got up, grabbing her bag of straps.

After Mita left, Dayu approached her mother's bed, then sat down on the side of the bed. Dayu caressed her mother's hand.

"Mom, when did you wake up? Dayu misses Mother." tears drip slowly on both cheeks Dayu. Dayu kissed her mother's forehead, then sat staring at her mother's weak face.

Dayu daydreams about her life path. Since his mother's coma, he has had no one else in the world, other than Mita. They both have the same fate. That equation makes them feel close and like brothers. He gets to know Mita, while looking for a job around the market. While crossing one of the shops, he stopped and stood in front of the store. Just then, Mita approached him and asked

"What do you want to buy, brother? There are various cosmetics here. There's lipstick, makeup tools, skincare, too." Mita promotes sales that are in the store

Hearing Mita's words, Dayu looked at her with embarrassment.

"Nobody's getting a job? Wow, what a coincidence. My boss is looking for employees. Come on, come on, brother. We'll meet my boss." Mita said kindly, then grabbed her hand and led her into the store.

From the very beginning, Mita was a good girl. Mita taught him how to be a cosmetics salesman. How to deal with customers and anything else that concerns them, about their work.

Dayu's memories of the past are stalled, when Mita calls out her name.

" Luck...!" Mita held onto Dayu's shoulder, "What are you daydreaming about?" mita asked, handing over a package.

"Ah, no, Mit. I'm not daydreaming. What rice is this?" Dayu stared at the package.

"That's an omelet side dish rice. We'll eat first, okay? I'm hungry." Mita sat down, then opened the package. Dayu also sits next to Mita and they enjoy breakfast together.

Dayu and Mita get off public transport. After which, they stepped together into a small alley. They came home from work when the sun was almost setting. Along the way, Dayu is greeted by the citizens. Dayu replies kindly, until they arrive at Dayu's house.

"You stay here, Ta. We'll pay for this house together." Dayu said, taking the key from inside the bag.

"Yes, Yu. Thank you "Mita is grateful. He was a month late in paying the cost, but the owner of the boarding house told him to move. Mita is forced to move out and asks Dayu to allow her to live together.

Dayu and Mita come in. Dayu sat in the living room, Mita put a bag containing her clothes on the floor, then sat next to Dayu.

"You can sleep in that room." Dayu pointed to one of the rooms, there are two rooms in the rented house of Dayu.

"When is the house paid, Yu?" ask Mita.

"I should have, last week. I asked for the same time I had a house, two weeks. Hopefully, I have money." Dayu hoped, "In two weeks I'll have to pay my mother's medical bills." Dayu heaved a heavy sigh

"If we expect a salary, we certainly can not pay the contract. Let alone pay your mother's medical expenses." Mita said slowly.

"Yes, you're right, Ta." Dayu.

"I called my mom in the village. My mom can only send me a little money. I dare not ask for much. My mother works alone, while my father, his job is just sitting coffee and smoking in the shop." Mita said annoyedly remembering her father.

"But don't remember your father anymore. You will be sad again, crying again. Tomorrow we will think about how to make money. Now, we take a shower and eat. My body was sultry, my stomach was also the sound of asking to be filled "Dayu rose and walked towards his room. Mita also got up, while taking a bag containing her clothes.

Dayu put her bag over the bed. He picked up the towel behind the door. Then, step out of the room towards the bathroom. Just as his feet were about to step in, I sat him cold. Dayu's body stood upright, his eyes staring straight ahead. He felt a figure standing behind him. Dayu did not dare to twist the body to look.

Behind Dayu, a female figure wearing a white canal dress stood up, with her face covered in hair. When, that figure would strangle Dayu, Mita came out of the room and called out.

"What are you doing, Yu?" Mita looked in wonder and approached Dayu.

Dayu twisted the body, then at a glance she saw one female figure walking through the side wall of the house. Before the woman's body disappeared, the woman's sinister face smirked at her. Instantly, Dayu trembled.

"Yeah.....Sayu!" Mita pats Dayu's shoulder. Dayu flinched and hugged Mita's body. Mita became confused to feel Dayu's body trembling strongly.

"Why are you, Yu? Relax, relax, Yu. Sorry if I surprised you." Mita stroked Dayu's hair, she felt guilty. Mita takes Dayu to the room, then covers Dayu who is lying down.

"I'll get you a drink, okay?" Mita will pass, but her hand is pulled by Dayu.

"Don't go, I'm afraid.." Dayu's voice trembled. Mita stopped walking, then sat down next to Dayu.
